I'm so grateful for Cornerstone! I was recommended by a prior parent when I was looking into a new school. My two daughters have been properly cared for & definitely have a special relationship with each teacher and staff member. Special shoutout to Ms. Cassy & Ms. Karen! I toured many facilities, but I was especially impressed when I toured CS because you could tell that they were very well organized and professional, hitting every point without me having to ask many questions. Top three aspects that makes me recommend Cornerstone, is the curriculum structure, the cleanliness and the safety. My kids have both been sick maybe once or twice which is amazing compared to their old school(s). The property is always secured/locked & communication between staff and parent is amazing! We have had such a wonderful experience at Cornerstone Preschool with both of our children, from the very beginning, the staff has been incredibly warm, patient, and genuinely caring. It's clear that they truly love what they do and care deeply about each child's growth and well-being. Negative star review of I could. I am extremely disappointed with our experience at this preschool. My son was injured while in their care and required stitches to his lip. What concerns me most is not just the injury itself, but the lack of proper supervision and the way the situation was handled afterward. I did not feel the incident was taken as seriously as it should have been, and communication with staff was inadequate. When you entrust your child to a preschool, you expect a safe environment and attentive supervision. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I would urge other parents to carefully consider safety and oversight before enrolling their child here. Don't believe her response, bleeding didn't stop, if anything they actually changed my son's clothes. If anything an ambulance should have been called. Also they wrote a quick note when my son was leaving, they had nothing prepared and the clothing was the first thing they thought of..unbelievable. read more

It is so hard to find a good, trustworthy preschool. Our family has loved Cornerstone over the years! They value safety/health and child development and creativity, and it's apparent in all that they do. All of the teachers are wonderful and kind and want to see your child succeed. All of the front office administrators are so helpful and available to answer any of your questions. Cornerstone has been a great experience for my child! He's been enrolled for almost three years now and has had great teachers. We love that they are always doing fun activities and bringing in outside organizations to help keep the kids engaged and learning a variety of new things. We also love that it's Christian based and my son is learning about religion. The school is small and stringent on keeping the teacher-to-child ratio at the mandated level which develops a family like atmosphere. Our daughter has been in the infant room for over 7 months now and she absolutely loves it! Even when she first started at just six months old, they made a point to include her in circle time and all the other activities the older and more mobile kids were doing. My daughter has been coming here since she was 3 months old and I love how they have been treating her. She has been there for 2 years already. I love how they do arts and crafts with her, potty train her , and care for her. She hardly gets sick which says a lot about how they keep the school clean. I cannot recommend Cornerstone Preschool enough! All staff members are incredible, friendly, and genuinely care for the kids! My kids attended CS from January. The school is so clean, well maintained. My girls very rarely got sick while there which was a big deal for me because I also have a baby at home. My girls loved the school so much they genuinely looked forward to going to school everyday. The only reason why I pulled them was because they will be starting TK and Kinder at a local elementary school. There are so many positive things I could write. All they care about is money. They charge for everything, if you are late you have to pay $5 per minute!! No very Christian of them. If they have a holiday lunch for the kids you have to pay $10 other wise they don't get to eat and are excluded. This preschool is all about the money not about your kids. read more

Oh no! If your reading this stay away. Teachers are very young and don't pay any attention to their groups. Ms. Theresa yells so loud you can hear down the hall. Mind you I was in front gate waiting to pick up my son. I know she was out and now she's back in the school , I mean mind you I had my sister say she been taking my nephews for years here and the teachers before were so much better! Looks like they just hire anyone now Sadly, before covid hit , I know my sister and I seen several young girls and more teachers in class rooms that seemed very professional now it looks like the teachers very lousy. Great Team! Great Program! Our son has been going to Cornerstone since he was 3 months old. They are very clean, organized, and loving. As an infant we were provided a schedule of daily activities down to the minute. We mirrored his nap and meal times at home with the school's schedule which provided consistency between school and home. He was sent home with a daily written update on his feedings, diaper changes, and activities. As a young toddler, we were provided a new daily schedule. We worked in partnership with Cornerstone on his potty training and other developmental skills as he grew including dressing himself, putting on his shoes and combing his hair. During the summer the team brings in special activities which my son raves about. Including the time he met Gecko from PJ Mask. Most recently he raved about water day and watching magic. He attended Cornerstone during COVID protocols. They complied with state regulations and kept the families informed regardless n how difficult the news was. As he grew, Cornerstone helped continue to grow his skills. He was taught colors, shapes, numbers and letters. We witnessed the evolution of his artistic abilities. He also attended their pre-k program where he was introduced to Spanish in their dual immersion program. "It takes a village to raise a child". This is a wonderful school. My son started in room with Ms. Melissa and she was a wonderful teacher who cared for him when i couldn't. She was caring and nurturing. i can't thank her enough for the care she provided him. Once he moved to his next class in the potty training room, he has been with Ms. Marlene and Ms. Maricella, who has been great with him. He is very close to being 100% potty trained. I appreciate how we are in constant communication with me about his needs and behavior. My son is speech delayed, and they have worked directly with me about my concerns about his speech. *PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL* since they removed my last review. If I could give this school 0 stars I would. They are very unprofessional and do not have enough teacher to kid ratio. This was my first time ever sending my son to school and it was the most horrible and stressful experience. I would get notes sent home how GREAT and WONDERFUL he is doing about all his great progress. He was there for 2 months and there was 2 incidents that has ever happened. The 2nd incident happened today where he was fighting over another toy with another little one and it ended with a head injury. I asked why this incident even happened in the first place under the all the " supervision" they have? They said " it just happens so fast" so because of this I called to go pick him up in the middle of working and was told they have to give me a 2 week notice basically kicking him out for this. SO RIDICULOUS. Toddlers are not going to just sit down and behave like robots so if you have a toddler that will require more patience and guidance do not send them here. They do not know how to handle situations. Lupe in the front office has only ever called me TWICE. The first time she let me know we were working on goals for my son the 2nd time she called me to tell me they were kicking him out. So if you have a job and need a reliable school who has the experience and professionalism and education to actually handle and watch toddlers LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. As a teacher of 15 years and a Whittier resident for 31 years, I want to give my honest and sincere review. My children are currently still going to Cornerstone, but my time as a parent here is going on four years. I brought my twin daughters when they were 5 months old and that was after I reviewed and observed many options. Cornerstone was so clean, smelled good, and was organized and Christian-based. I loved it. Having twins I was worried because two causes more trouble, but since our first day everyone at Cornerstone has been wonderful. Miss Lupe, Miss Rebecca, Miss Robin have all gone out of their way to be flexible with us and to help us with scheduling issues. I have never had an unkind word from anyone at Cornerstone and I have felt a familial closeness to the school since our first day. Every teacher we have has been loving and supportive. The school is organized and has curriculum and Miss Lupe cares deeply about educating the students, not just "babysitting" them, which as a teacher is a huge deal. My children are more advanced and better at socializing around other kids because they go to Cornerstone. I love that they have chapel once a month, that the teachers communicate so openly with parents, and that the children have a daily routine. I cannot recommend Cornerstone highly enough. I feel like they really give my children a wonderful foundation for school and make them feel safe and smart. I love Cornerstone and feel blessed to have found it. read more

My son has been here for about 3 months and although the transition was hard for me. He seems to be thriving. He continues to practice his baby sign language and love his music time. I can tell he likes going to school because he doesn't cry anymore when being dropped off. The teacher write a daily report card letting you know what they ate, how many times they were changed (whether wet, dry, or number 2), and a small snapshot of the day. It is a Christian based daycare so they do Bible stories and pray. They are also offering a dual emersion program and I can't wait for him to start that. Cons: no pictures of your child sent during the day. It would be a nice addition to see your child. Also they transitioned him too early to one nap (at 11 months) I would have like to see the sleep in demand policy in place at home he takes 2 naps so I never deal with a cranky kid. I think 15-18 months is best for 1 nap training. read more

My little one has been going to this preschool since Dec 2017 and I have to say it has been amazing! I was nervous at first but the organization and curriculum they have for each class and age range is great! They keep the kids busy and my little one comes home singing a new song every day. The daycare we came from was horrible and it was affecting my little one. Ever since being at Cornerstone she has been doing great! Always learning and happy! I love it. Mrs Maricela is the potty training teacher and my little one is fully potty trained now! It didn't take long at all. The communication with the staff and front office is also great. Im one of those moms that needs to be informed and know what going on at all times and I have had no issues. Ms. Lupe, Ms. Robin and Ms. Rebecca do a great job keeping everything in order. Called here to schedule a tour. I informed them of the days I needed to start my infant on and Ms. Lupe was welcoming to the days I needed. When I called to reschedule my tour time I spoke with a different person, Robin, when I asked about availability again just to be sure she told me the policy doesn't allow for 2 days it must be a 3 day minimum. (She was already giving different info then what Ms. Lupe had given me) I was referred by a friend so she asked that i give them a try and speak with Ms. Lupe again which is the owner, so I called back to speak with Lupe to see if she could actually grant the days she had agreed on. A staff member by the name of Rebecca came on being what I like to call a "nice B$!" Saying they couldn't do the days they had agreed on and unfortunately they wouldn't do business with me. If they can't get it together over a simple phone call imagine how they run that place. It's a blessing that they were rude and misleading because I wouldn't want to put my baby in their hands. They are difficult to speak with and not professional at all. I use to never take the time to write reviews because it's easy for me to carry on but when it comes to our community and our children we must speak up. Pay attention how adults speak to you and make you feel in these settings, imagine how they would speak and treat your babies. These individuals really are unprofessional after writing my review they send me rude messages. Instead of improving they continued to show the type of business they run. The two rude daughters are the ones thinking this review is funny. What's funny about being ugly with folks that seek to give you their business and you treat them poorly? My daughter has been going to Cornerstone since she was three months old. She has recently started her last year there with Ms Katya, who is amazing. But I would like to give major recognition to Ms Joanna. Ms Joanna has been her teacher since she was in the infant center and we couldn't have felt more blessed to have her be a part of her journey at Cornerstone throughout the years. We have seen faces come and go but she has been there showing her dedication to our children through the years. She is truly a special human being and teacher. She cares for her students and is nurturing when we as parents can't be because we have to work. She is loving, kind, creative and has taught my baby girls so much. I am infinitely grateful to her for watching over our baby girl as well as our older son when he was there. She is a huge part of why both my kids have only known one daycare/preschool. We enrolled our two kids, 3 y/o son and 18 mo. Daughter during summer 2015. Similar to other complaints our son was labeled a problem and didn't listen to the teacher. Yet our daughter was fine and adorable. After getting numerous calls and complains, picking up my kids and always having to deal with some issues, we parted ways because they didn't want my son and we believed they didn't allow much flexibility as a daycare/preschool. We left thinking something was wrong with our son. We enrolled our children at another preschool and it has been a blessing. My son has excelled tremendously under a different teaching method and they are both happy. I was researching kindergarten for my son and I just read the reviews and saw something similar from our own experience. It seems if you have a boy that's an active boy this is not the preschool for you. Most of the people that have problems are boys so it makes me believe that they only want nice quiet girls who stay in line. To be fair the school is well organized they seem to have a lot of activities and everything runs in a good order for the five months we attended. My daughter was in Cornerstone for a little over a year and I couldn't have asked for a better group to care for her. It was truly a blessing when I was introduced to the school. Ms Lupe and her staff have such kind hearts. Ms Virginia helped my daughter learn so much in a short period of time. My daughter was always sooo happy to go to school and was always happy when I picked her up. The staff is very attentive and are always available to answer any questions or concerns. Everybody is very welcoming. It was very difficult to leave the school. I cried at the thought of not taking my daughter there anymore. My daughter told me Friday morning that she did not want to go to school here because her teacher (Ms. Ariel) hit her in the face and "is mean to us." As a concerned parent, I reported this to the school when I dropped her off. The director was very surprised to hear my daughter's allegations and offered many reasons why this could not have happened. Because it seemed like they were sweeping things under the rug, I reminded the director that they were mandated reporters and asked them what they were going to do. The director told me she would report it and we made accommodations for my daughter to be moved to a different classroom. That afternoon, Ms. Robin called me and told me that my daughter would be permanently moved to a different classroom and "all appropriate procedures had been followed." Imagine my surprise when I called CPS on Tuesday of the following week and found out that NO report had been filed. Because of this, my colleagues at the hospital encouraged me to call the police and file my own report. The police told me to drive straight to the Center so I could be present while they interviewed my daughter. I gave the Center a call to let them know the police were coming so they wouldn't be surprised. When I arrived at the Center before the police, the owners pulled me aside and told me that there was no way anything happened to my daughter and that they "no longer felt comfortable having her at the Center. They also wondered why I would feel comfortable having my daughter there if this truly happened. Last week, they felt comfortable with her being in another classroom and I felt comfortable with the accommodations they agreed to make. The fact that they kicked her out after I filed a report that they had not yet filed (still need to verify if this ever happened), seems like retaliation for following the proper mandated reported procedures and calling the police. I will be honest and admit that I dismissed the poor reviews of this Center and chucked it up to parents having unruly children. However, the fact that this accusation occurred with the same teacher that was mentioned in the other poor reviews is concerning. We moved here from out of state and my daughter never had any issues at her old daycare. However, she seemed reluctant to come here on some days, had many potty accidents (she came fully trained), and had emotional meltdowns here. I had chalked it up to the adjustment of moving from another State but wonder if these were signs of other things going on. For those who are considering sending their kids here, please read the poor reviews, especially the one that talks about the poor security and how the owners responded to that post by shaming the parents for letting everyone know that their gates are not locked in the morning and afternoons and anyone can come it. Rather than fixing the issue and making it more secure, the owners accuse the parent of compromising the security of the Center. read more

My last review was removed. I took my son out of this school more than a year ago. But now that I'm looking to get my son back into school, finding reviews on preschools are hard to comeby. So I thought I'd help other parents out by rewriting another review on this school. The time my son spent here was very breif. It wasn't at all what I was hoping for. I had a difficult time trusting my son was being well cared for. I'd pick him up with boogers crusted on his face, and an uncleaned bottom. Attitude from the teachers was what made me the most uncomfortable. Some days were better than others but overall I do not recommend this school to anyone. School was nice. Both the outdoors and the classrooms were very well kept. But our deal breaker was they don't have a lock on the front gate. No passcode key pad. No camera or buzzer. Just a chain linked fence with a latch low enough for a kid to reach. While we were pulling up, we saw a parent leave the gate wide open. The staff told us they always have someone looking out from the office. But the office doesn't even face the gate!! What if someone strange walks in. Or a kid walks out. It's an open area in the front and the classrooms aren't far from the entrance. I didn't think that was okay. Every single school we've toured some kind of gate security. The staff here told me they've never had an issue...yeah let's wait to change that until something bad does happen. read more

As soon as i called cornerstone Mrs Lupe talked to me and answered all of my questions and was so professional and caring / understanding. I went back with my husband and met Mrs. Robin she was also so professional, caring and understanding. My daughter has been attending cornerstone going on 3 months now. This is a new school for my granddaughter, they recently bought their first house in the area and needed a great place for Kiera to continue her learning. The staff we've met are all wonderful, professional, and great with kids. They have a program for each age and specific development teaching in mind for all children. Kiera has been there a bit over a month now, and she is loving her new school. I don't want to talk bad about the previous school but this one puts it to shame. It's clean, the staff is knowledgable, and above all they all seem to really love kids. The security is pretty tight here and we are grateful for that. They seem to care about our Kiera as much as we do. We look forward to our granddaughter spending the next few years here and can't wait to see what is in store for her. Both my kids attended this preschool, they graduated from here and loved it! I read a comment about Lad n Lassie being better than this daycare, and I was appalled!!! I worked at Lad n Lassie and had also enrolled my 7 month old daughter and son, two weeks in and my daughter had the biggest bite mark on her cheek and the teacher had no idea she had it!!!! that same day I complained to the director, the teacher in that classroom yelled at me! and all and all this was just too much to deal with, I pulled them out of there and I quit! lad n lassie is the worse, while I was working there I would see the mistreatment of so many children. Very sad. Right after my experience with that preschool, I took a year off to stay at home with my little one, then luckily I found Cornerstone preschool. Reading these other reviews gets me thinking that they were left by a competitor of some sort as my experience was NOTHING like some of these 1 starers... Cornerstone is filled with a great group of positive roll models. My daughter attended for a year. I'm sad to say she's leaving but its time as she starts Kindergarten this month. Ms. Melissa truly set the bar very high for her. She wouldn't stop talking about her, what she learned that day, what was planned for the next day, etc. She is very lucky to have meet her & she will surely be missed. My daughter talks about her & the other teachers at least once a day. They also include the parents with Dads & Donuts day around Fathers Day and Moms and Muffins around Mothers Day. It is soo cute how they put everything together. During the year they also have festivals so we as parents see what they have been learning & the parents can meet one another. The experience was so positive that on her last day we picked up an application for our daughter who is on the way. Thank you Ms. Melissa & Cornerstone for playing such a monumental roll in her life. My 4 yr old, 2 yr old and my 7 month old attend this preschool. They absolutely love it !!! && look fwd to going every day. My 2 year old is very grumpy and a rebel and despite her being one everyone is very kind and show a lot of patience twds her, Ms Jessica is absolutely awesome with her. Ms Melissa & Ms Theresa are the absolute best !!! They do such a great job not only with my baby girl but with all the little ones, always showing concern and being attentive, they give parents feedback about their babies, honestly can't express enough. As for my 4 year old she loves Ms Cassy and the thing with my 4 year old is that she is very good at expressing her day at school and she always tells me how Ms Cassy is supper nice! She complains when I picked her up. All in all very educational and they do fun activities with them. I have zero concerns when I drop them off. OMG! my daughter LOVES Cornerstone! I cant say enough good things about this school. Starting from the office (Ms. Lupe, Robin & Rebecca) to the teachers (Mrs. Amber & Rosario) they're AWESOME! Alway greeting us with a smile & just a pleasure to talk to. My daughter is in love with Mrs. Amber & is always talking about how good her teacher is with her. Their summer program kept our kids busy with different things to do in school & out on field trips. I was waiting to write this review when i wasn't so emotional. The reviews on this place are 100% true, they do NOT want an active boy & most importantly they don't allow much flexibility as a daycare/preschool. First off, this school was great for the short period of time my son was there, mind you he is 21 months old and the terrible two phase has hit us. His teacher in room 2 worked amazing with him and we rarely heard a complaint about him. Well, his teacher quit on a Tuesday and all of a sudden our son was "uncontrollable" on thursday, after getting off the phone with the owner we agreed we would work on this phase he was going through. She did mention that a parent should pick him up every time he acts out but, i reminded her both of us work full time and we do not have the luxury of leaving work. I also didn't see how this would help him since he is 21 months old and seeing your parent pick up is a happy thing? But, i told Mrs. Lupie that i loved cornerstone and wanted to work with them. On Friday, an hour into work i get a call that i need to come pick up my son ASAP because he is throwing a tantrum and is being aggressive towards other kids & taking toys. As a parent i know my child has flaws but, they out grow them. When i picked him up she expressed that a certain teacher was feeling frustrated with him and its best we part ways. She also expressed that my son wasnt following directions, when he was done with an activity, he was ready to move on to the next thing and they dont move on individually but, as a class. He is a baby still and has only been in daycare the last 8 months of his life. All in all, he got kicked out and they did not even have sympathy for the fact we had no back up to watch him hence, why he is in daycare. She told me to sign my son up in a Montessori school or get a nanny. I had to quit my job that same day. I had more respect for cornerstone & thought for them being a christian based school they would have more compassion. Im sure the teachers dont want to go out of their way for a child and prefer kids to just sit and color; to be honest they probably dont get paid well enough to do so. They made me feel like something was wrong with my son. Everything happens for a reason and i just hope people take into consideration these reviews, kids at this age can be traumatized and if a teacher is feeling frustrated with a toddler, they should seek a new profession. read more

I have two kids, 7 and 3, who are both at Cornerstone. Oldest graduated two years ago. I enrolled my youngest starting in room 1. So, this review is based on my experience with all the classrooms at Cornerstone. I have nothing but good things to say about the teachers and the staff. The teaching is on point, and the teachers have a positive, nurturing and attentive attitude. Sadly, Cornerstone Preschool is a school that you should AVOID. I had my son in this school for over a year. When I registered my son, he was put into Room 2. Let me say, the staff and teachers in Room 2 could not have been any better for my son. They taught him so much, they loved him, they brought out an amazing personality in my little human. With that said, as the new year approached, I knew he would be moving up to the next classroom. My son was put into Room 3. I was excited about the new adventures that were waiting for him. He was placed with Miss Samantha. Miss Samantha was miserable. She walked around with a scowl and like she hates children. But here's the problem.. Miss Samantha is the owner's daughter... So you have the owner (Lupe), who works up front with Miss Robin (she is great) and Miss Rebecca (Lupe's other daughter). Knowing this, you have to be very careful to complain about the attitude of Ms. Rebecca at the front or of the treatment of your child in Room 3, because they will band together if you try to go against them. I complained within a week of my son being moved about Miss Samantha as I knew she wasn't taking care of my son. His diapers weren't being changed, he would have a rash, he was crying when going to her classroom, etc. She also sent a note home that his emergency numbers were all wrong, but they were right, which I said was a concern, because what number was she dialing and what if there was an emergency?? This was a big mistake. Once I complained, they had it out for MY TWO YEAR OLD. All of a sudden, Miss Samantha and HER MOM (the owner) were sending reports home that he wasn't listening and refusing to sit down. Keep in mind, before I complained, THERE HAD NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE WITH MY SON IN OVER A YEAR. After receiving the second letter, I went to the owner and said that I believed this was in retaliation for my complaints. She got very defensive, and said I was the problem, not the teacher and not my son (soooo why were you sending notes home about him?). At that moment, I decided to immediately pull my son out of the school. As a parent, I know you have to put your child in a school sometimes, but PLEASE check out other options before making your child go here. The stress and anxiety of not knowing if your kid is being taken care of properly is not worth an immediate opening or a lower rate. These people have NO CONSIDERATION for your child, and only really care about the family. I hope this review saves one parent from having to go through the frustration I went through. P.S. As I know the school will read this. The VERY NEXT DAY he was enrolled in a new school, and when I picked him up that FIRST DAY, they told me what a great listener he was, how he was the FIRST to sit down when instructed, and was even helping the teachers to get other kids to sit down once he did... doesn't sound like a kid who according to you, refused to sit down, does it? Next time, if you have a problem, don't go after a two year old. Next time there is a problem, maybe talk to the teacher/daughter who isn't doing their job, like any proper business does. **ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I have received about 7-10 inquiries from parents asking where I took my son after my experience with Cornerstone. I enrolled him at Lad N Lassie pre-school in Whittier. THIS SCHOOL IS AMAZING. My son flourishes here. He started potty training a month after going there and was COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED within TWO WEEKS. He loves his school, he is learning SO MUCH, and we are SO HAPPY he is there. They do sometimes have a long wait list (understandably!) so call early! ALSO, their prices are a couple hundred dollars LOWER A MONTH than Cornerstone's in many cases! read more

My son attended Cornerstone from August 2014 until December 2014. He was 1 1/2-2 years old at the time. Up until then I stood home with my son but I had decided to go back to school. He attended Cornerstone 3 days a week. Of course at first he had a hard time adjusting but I had no complaints about his teacher, Adriana I believe. Within the first week he was bit by another child, but that was to be expected, they're toddlers. I majored in Child Development and anyone who has knows that pre-verbal children use hitting, biting, pinching, etc. as ways to express emotions. My son started to hit and pinch and Ms. Lupe thought maybe because he was the oldest in that side of the class (1-1/2 yr. olds) that he should move to the (1 1/2 - 2 yr olds.). I agreed but the problem still lingered. Every day I'd ask my sons teacher how he was and she never made it sound like an issue. I would get notes almost daily complaining about my sons behavior. I would get phone calls while I was at school too. I expressed to them that it was a very common behavior in toddlers and Ms. Lupe said that she's never had another student like that (um hello, he was bit several times and I never complained because I understand child development). She started telling me that other parents were complaining. I told her that we were working on it at home and that I believed when he started talking more that his issues would go away (which they did) but I think she had her mind set that he was a problem child. It wasn't like he was hitting and pinching all day, it was when someone would take something or he wanted something someone had. I think that the teachers should know trigger signs and be readily available to stop a situation and help make it a learning experience before the aggression comes out. I began to dread picking up my son because it was never positive comments, Lupe just focused on my sons issues. One Friday she said that my son scratched an infant on the face when a mother was picking up her daughter. First of all, I didn't believe this. And even if he did, if they were so adamant that my son had behavioral issues, than why would they even allow him to be close enough to touch a baby? Ms. Lupe said my son had 2 weeks to change his behavior or they'd ask him to leave. Of course his behavior wasn't going to change over night so I called the next Monday and said he wouldn't be going back. I never had issues with his teachers and they never expressed outrageous behavior in the classroom. Lupe was the only one with the issue. Even though it was a traditional approach to Preschool, I liked the school and that the building was secure. The staff was nice too. So unless you have a perfect child who dares not to act out, Cornerstone might not be the place for you. read more

I have been bringing my child to the school for over 3 years now and I would like to commend the wonderful staff and management of Cornerstone. My child started in the infant center and all the staff have been nothing short of amazing. I really appreciate Ms. Lupe, and the office staff Ms. Robin and Ms. Rebecca. They are always very positive and uplifting when I bring in my child every morning or when I pick up in the evening. I am really blessed to have my child in Cornerstone as they provide a quality school dedicated to the children, and the parents can feel secure to leave their children in the hands of such great people. I was having such a hard time deciding whether or not I should send my 2 and a half year old to school, my parents are retired and they take care of her while my husband and I work, however, she is super shy and too attached to my parents and I wanted her to socialize. After looking at several schools I decided to try Cornerstone. I am SO HAPPY THAT I DID! Her teacher Miss Cassie is amazing with her. My daughter still struggles at drop off but has learned to trust Ms Cassie and will even reach for her hand when she is crying. I know my daughter very well and she is very hard to please (typical 2 year old). She doesn't smile for strangers and never feels the need to trust anyone other than her parents and grandparents but somehow she really began to trust Ms Cassie and I am such a relieved mom because of it. I am grateful to Ms Cassie for her patience with my kinda emotional daughter. i didn't realize how much she was missing out on the socializing part until we met up with my friend and her kids last weekend and my daughter started playing with my friends daughter after only 30 seconds of shyness, this is A WHOLE NEW KID I HAVE!
