At first it was hard to find the office, look for the revolving doors that I attached a a picture of. The office is located in the highest (18th) floor. If you have an appointment after 6pm, you need to tell security to give you elevator access. I've been coming here for physio with Cole Keddie, he has been helping me with my injury. He is very knowledgeable and organized, providing me with follow-up instructions after my appointments etc. The receptionist is also very nice and helpful. I like that they offer appointments after 5pm, so I can go after work. The facility is very clean. They do direct billing to insurance. I highly recommend! read more

One star for the friendliness of staff. This review is for physio treatments, which were not very helpful. Each visit was a 20 minute session. 5-10 minutes of mild adjusting and the rest was just speaking with the physiotherapist about exercises I could do at home. I didn't find any relief until I sought treatment elsewhere. Then they submitted invoices to my insurance company for 1 hour sessions to get more money. Overall I did not have a good experience and they tried to significantly reduce funding that I actually need to use to get better. Really disappointed in that kind of dishonest behaviour. read more

My doctor referred me to Cornerstone 5 years ago when my patellafemoral syndrome acted up again. Sharon-Anne was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Over the years, I have sprained my back, bruised my knee tissue and sprained the ligaments on my foot, but every time, Sharon-Anne let me know what happened and have a full treatment plan ready to go. She is also happy to make adjustments when I have difficulties doing the exercises. I have been there ones as a friend of mine suggested for me. I have been to many physiotherapy clinics but this one it was the only one I visited ones and only. They do not have any physio equipments the just works with exercise which you need to do at home. I have only 2 exercises given and I couldn't do because of pain. You can do this access and exercise from Instagram or YouTube. Nothing especial for this clinic and I am regret to waste my money and time to go that far with no result. read more

The physiotherapy was amazing in the first year, and the level of care and consideration was fantastic. The type of care was for different injuries over time, though too much interaction was allowed, even after I asked about it. Upon reflection (by the physiotherapist), sudden boundaries were implemented, and the tone and all further communication was quite cold, and extremely surprising given the long history. Clear boundaries should have been set within the first weeks or months. This was beyond disappointing and resulted in a back-against-the-wall decision to cease services as I could no longer work with someone that was treating me as a new client despite over a year of working together. Referrals were offered, but I have been put off physiotherapy (probably) for life. I have never seen such a disastrous and affecting turnaround. Really sad since I still need treatment. They know who they are. This is not meant to cause any repercussions for the physiotherapist, however I do want my one-star review to count for something. read more

I found Cornerstone years ago (through Yelp!) when I had an issue with my shoulder that prevented me from playing sports as hard as I wanted to. I felt a bit silly when I first came in with my complaint, because it just seemed so minor, but my first physiotherapist (Jodi) was so professional and so keen to get me up and playing hard again that I was instantly put at ease! Aside from being extremely professional, she was also very knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose me, and have a full out plan ready to go. Not a minute was wasted and this nagging issue I had for years was almost completely gone during the course of 2 months. This is in comparison to an experience with another previous clinic I went to, where I was just going through some sort of insurance scam treadmill lol. I spent most of my time with indifferent "helpers" doing photocopied exercises, and barely saw a physiotherapist. With Cornerstone, the difference is night and day! All your time is spent with an engaging physiotherapist, and there is no shadiness. Over the years, I was also lucky to be treated by Hayley, and this time I didn't even think to hesitate to get those minor "little things" finally looked after. Hayley specifically seemed to specialize in minute hand issues and uses videos and follow up emails to remind you of exercises (def needed for me). She kept a good pace and I appreciated her understanding the few times I skipped on the exercises. The last few of my appointments were during covid restrictions and I appreciated all the safety protocols in place (as well as the option for online sessions). I'm very impressed with this clinic's services. I was having severe back pain, and had seen a massage therapist, osteopath, and MD before heading to Cornerstone. Massage therapist said my issue was muscular, and MD said sciatica. But, the pain just kept getting worse! So I decided to give Physio a try; Sarah Wattam was more thorough than any of the other professionals I'd seen, and actually came up with a diagnosis that made sense (bulging disk), and a treatment plan that is working! Also, the directors of the clinic emailed to check in with me (as I presume they do with everyone) after I had been going there for a week or two. The best of the best. I have vertigo. Joon did the explaining, test and also the treatment on the same visit. I went in there pretty much scared. The visual and thorough explanation kept me as ease. I came out feeling 99% better after treatment and I'm hopeful that my next visit will make me 100% better. I had a slip on the ice and my shoulder was wonk and uncomfortable. I came here to get some relief and I am sure glad I came here. Recommended by a colleague, I was so happy first of all that I was able to quickly make an appointment by contacting them via their form on their website. Within 24 hours they had responded with some appointment options that I quickly locked in. I arrived 10 minutes early, filled a two page form and they were able to process payment through my drug card so it went straight to my extended health benefits without any work on my part! Their offices are clean, modern and professional. I was seen by Sarah who is simply amazing. I must admit I was a bit skeptical of the whole physiotherapy thing but Sarah is like a mechanic for humans! She was very thorough, patient and detailed in listening and asking me about what happened and how I felt. Then she took me through some exercises to find the range of motion I had and what triggered discomfort. She had a hypothesis on what was wrong and validated it through more testing. Afterwards she uses a model of a shoulder joint to show me what she suspected was happening. I left with homework and follow-up appointments but most importantly I felt better and hopeful that with her help this will not become a long term ailment. After doing 8 weeks of OHIP covered physio at Bridgepoint post knee replacement surgery, my surgeon recommended I find a private physio clinic to get me more range of motion and mobility. I also had a wrist issue that was caused from using a cane in the first 2 months after surgery. Based on Yelp reviews, I started at Cornerstone and the office is nice and modern looking, the receptionists all young and pretty, but I don't care about that, I care about getting better fast, since I don't have insurance and am paying for these sessions out of pocket. and after a month, I wasn't seeing results in either of my issues. I ended up trying another clinic based on a friend's recommendation and found it to be a better fit for me. But I give credit to Cornerstone for reaching out after reading my review here on Yelp and going above and beyond in trying to see how they could improve my experience and learn how to better serve future clients based on my feedback. My 5 star rating is based on a number of elements. The clinic is located right outside the College Street subway station which makes it ideal to get too. Once you arrive, you are greeted with a warm smile in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I have never had to wait to see any of the therapist; they are always on time. The professionalism, experience and knowledge of the staff is essential to my recovery, which happens with each visit. They customize the treatment based on the individuals needs with a very hands-on approach. They also offer the convenience of direct billing to my plan carrier. I've been going to Cornerstone off and on for a few years now and they've always been accommodating and wonderful to work with. They offer a good range of services to help you address your issues, including Pilates and Massage Therapy. They even have a student rate for Ryerson students which made it very affordable for me when I first started going to the clinic. Another convenient aspect about Cornerstone is that they have two locations! I've been seeing Marcia as my physiotherapist since the beginning and she is great. She employs a variety of techniques such as acupuncture for her treatments and is a great communicator. She also suggested that I see Anne a couple of times a week for Pilates to help with muscle strengthening, which has been awesome. I recently also started to see Matthew for massage, which I've also been really enjoying as part of my treatment. I've come a long way since when I first started going to the clinic, but it's taken a long time to fix what I needed to fix. If you have a really basic injury, this place should be fine. But if you have a long term or complicated injury, and you're hoping this place will help when others haven't, I can't recommend it. Especially not for chronic pain. They go by basic, one-type-fits-all principles. If your pain and function aren't getting better, they don't listen (or even ask) and they can't seem to adapt or try different approaches. They just keep pushing the same methods, and imply that you're not trying hard enough. I suggest you look elsewhere, and I hope you get better soon! read more

I saw Physiotherapist Jocelyn McEachern at Cornerstone for a back injury a few months ago. I had a disc bulge that needed treatment over many weeks. My experience with Jocelyn was excellent. She listened to my descriptions of the symptoms carefully, interactively, and gave me detailed explanations supporting her diagnosis of the injury. I felt better very soon after the first few sessions, and have made a full recovery in that I can go back to playing soccer. Also, for long term management she prescribed exercises which I can do on my own that will help prevent future recurrences of the problem. When I had doubts about various activities during my injury she was very helpful in answering my questions, and helping out with accommodating my lifestyle while focussing on recovery. All in all, my injury was dealt with through exercises and sessions with Jocelyn, and also psychologically I feel confident about dealing with my injury because of her coaching role in my management of the condition. Due to all these reasons, I highly recommend her. I'm highly satisfied with my experience at Cornerstone. They also have a great feedback mechanism by which they actively seek feedback /while/ you are getting treatment. I've been coming here for a few years, off and on, with various injuries from distance running. I've been working with Adam since day one, and have zero complaints. The whole team (including the reception staff) is very professional. Appointments run on time, and are always very efficient. All of my concerns are always addressed, and because I've taken the provided advice and completed the prescribed exercises (with plenty of additional practice during my appointments to ensure correct form), I've been able to get healthy and back to running fairly quickly after each round of treatment. After a bad bicycle accident and subsequent surgery last July, I was referred to Cornerstone Physiotherapy by my surgeon. Jodi Arnott, my physiotherapist has been a great help to me by not only aiding me with mobilization and acupuncture, but also giving me practical strategies as to how I could continue with my physically demanding job that I could not take much time off from. She has been very encouraging. The girls at the front are always informed and pleasant, making a sometimes challenging visit a little nicer. I've been here for now for two different injuries. A fractured tibia was the first and now an ankle/foot injury on the other leg which put me back into crutches. I am a long distance runner and from the education given and supportive, easily followed exercises I have very quickly recovered from both. I have been having back pain and I had been to my family doctor, who said that he himself goes to Cornerstone, so I took his referral and made myself an appointment. They were very good at sending information before the session, so I knew what to expect in terms of cost, length of appointment, types of questions I might be asked. They were on time and my therapist, Giacomo, was really good at talking me through how my injury came about and ways to prevent it in the future. If anything, my only negative is that he talked too much! He did one exercise on my neck and it was a bit hard to relax because he was talking, and I just wanted to zen out and relax my neck. However, he was friendly, and helped me feel comfortable enough because a lot of the exercises are quite intimate (like touching the neck) for someone you just met. The appointment was the full hour as advertised, and made a lot of sense to me in terms of the information I was given. Physiotherapists are great as well as the administrative staff but I can't help but feel that the receptionist(s) are a little overworked. I was waiting for my scheduled appointment and only one woman was working the desk - meanwhile a lineup of five+ people was building while the phone was ringing incessantly and she was clearly overworked. This has happened on SEVERAL occasions in my experience with the clinic. As someone who works in a similar role I have a tremendous amount of sympathy for how stressful this can be and how detrimental to a company's productivity this can be. I have nothing but incredible things to stay about the staff at Cornerstone Physiotherapy. After sustaining two lumbar disk bulges from a fairly physically demanding job as an ICU Nurse, my family doctor recommended that I go to Cornerstone Physiotherapy. When I first met Rana, I couldn't stand up straight, walk for more than 10 minutes, or lift anything more than 5 pounds without severe pain - I honestly thought that my career was over. Not only was Rana fantastic in helping me gain strength, get rid of the pain, get my range of motion back, and start moving again, but he also helped motivate and encourage me in my recovery. I was amazed that, after my appointments, Rana would send me e-mails with images and descriptions of the exercises that we had added to my recovery plan. I had some rather rough days throughout my recovery, and everyone I dealt with at Cornerstone Physiotherapy was reassuring and genuinely supportive. Rana was my advocate in dealing with WSIB and my workplace, and he pushed for my safe return to work based on my pace of healing. Once appropriate, we incorporated massage into my therapy, and I started seeing Matt. It was so beneficial to have all treatments in one place because Rana and Matt would communicate about what areas for massage would work best in conjunction with the physio. The staff at the front desk are all so friendly and professional, and it was so convenient that they bill directly to insurance companies. As I was speaking with group of friends on two seperate occasion, two different people recommended I come to Cornerstone Physiotherapy at 2 Carlton. One of them recommended me Cedric Quach. Well the folks at Cornerstone were very friendly and approachable. Cedric was very informative, friendly and cared about my progress. When I did not understand something he would take the time to explain it to me. He's also made himself reachable any time if I was in any more pain during my time with him and after I was rehabilitated. I'm even considering using other services her at Cornerstone because of the service I've received. And Gods forbid, I hurt myself again, I will not hesitate coming back to Cornerstone for my rehabilitation. read more

I went to Cornerstone Physiotherapy Clinic this evening and did not have a pleasant experience. My intension was going by to see a Massage Therapist Matt for some massage therapy. It was a recommendation from my partner for a treat to relax. Matt was doing a great job with my upper back massage. However, the receptionist Olga was extremely rude. She informed me that since I am the second party under my partner's work insurance I need to get a prescription from my doctor before getting the massage. Otherwise, I have to pay for the $96.05 massage one hour session. Then she proceed by saying that She does not know know what my insurance policy was and she cannot help me. She then started to roll her eyes and told me that I have to pay. I replied I was not aware that I have to pay for the massage session since I AM the second person in my partner's benefits with Greenshield. I found that Olga's customer service skill was lacking and not to mentioned about her condescending tone of voice and eyes rolling. Later on one of the staff Adam came and tried to rectify the problem but it was too late. I paid the bill and told him that you will NEVER go to Cornerstone Physiotherapy Clinic again because of their receptionist's Olga poor customer service. You would think that in the competitive business market today, Cornerstone will provide exemplary customer service! Bad customer service the first time and second time. No more third time for me. I was actually more stressed after my visit to this clinic. Sorry, Conerstone. Because of your receptionist Olga you will never see me step foot in any of your three Clinics again!!! read more
