If I could give Cornerstone 10 stars, I would! Due to my job, I have been to my fair share of Massage/Physiotherapy places before, and now I can't see myself going anywhere else. Derek Wu is a phenomenal Massage therapist, specialized in exactly what I needed for - and much more! I went to him four times before having to travel for work - and will be a regular when I come back. Their receptionist, (Kayley I believe - yet all of them were lovely), made sure to find me the perfect therapist for my very specific needs. She went above and beyond, and was the only clinic out of 15 that called me back, and had the specialist for a Diaphragm massage. I am struggling with post-covid breathing issues, and this type of massage was suggested by my doctor. It was exactly what I needed and more! The regular sports/athletic massage part was incredible, focused and the perfect pressure - which for me, is lots of pressure. Derek is extremely talented and attentive, and really helped me reset and release my neck/back tensions. He was able to pin point & pressure point my problem areas, and release knots where I didn't even know I even had them. Out of the numerous places I've been to in Toronto over the years, this is by far my favourite. I don't normally write reviews, but I feel I should for James Kwan. I had a very bad shoulder injury, and honestly, I was a bit intimidated and scared of the entire physio process I was going to have to go through. James was brilliant though -- I quickly learned I could trust him, and count on him to take me through the process at a pace that worked well for my body. He made it really easy to have faith I was going to get and feel better after his sessions. He was caring and empathetic, always listening to and answering my concerns or questions, as well as tailoring the routines to me personally based on any feedback I gave him. He's always been friendly and motivating to help keep me on track -- physio can be quite the challenge I've discovered -- and I'm glad I have him in my corner. He pushed me as I needed, but always had a great sense of where my limits or pain thresholds were. I'm not sure what else to say here, other than if you need a physio, I fully recommend him. read more

James (Kwan) is a very caring and diligent physiotherapist who not only takes the time to understand and diagnose your issue but also focuses on understanding your daily habits that may exacerbate them. He is very methodical and correctly diagnosed the cause of my shoulder pain to my neck and my poor posture where all other physiotherapists had failed and had provided me with the wrong diagnoses and exercise recommendations. His exercises combined with unique combination of massage, needling and exercise guidance have been pivotal in helping me regain my active life after having a debilitating shoulder pain issue for 2 years. While transitioning back to Kingston for school, James even took the trouble to find me a therapist in Kingston to ensure a smooth transition. A great guy and an even better therapists! I sought the assistance of Cornerstone in determining the cause of symptoms of numbness in my lower hand and fingers. Sean Gill was assigned as my physiotherapist. Sean was thoughtful and thorough in his reasoning process and promptly determined the source of the problem. My symptoms were completely resolved after following exercises he developed for me (including personalized online training documentation to support my exercises at home). The early phase was designed to quickly resolve the issues at hand. They were followed by series of exercises to, not only, safeguard against future such episodes but to significantly improve the strength and flexibility of the upper back and neck areas along with my posture. Probably one of the best Physiotherapy Clinic in North York. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. I had never been in a physiotherapy before so I felt very vulnerable and frustrated with my body before the therapy, but since the very first session Courtney took her time to explain everything about the my personal program (pelvic therapy) and even she cheered me up when I needed the most. This place is clean and staff are very welcoming and friendly. I had a great experience with Courtney Steele, Pelvic floor Physiotherapist. She is knowledgeable and really good at her job. she helped me with my vaginismus . From the first session , she was patiently explaining every part of treatment in a very basic way which made it easier for me to understand my issues and she was always right on spot to push me forward or let me take it slow. I had extreme left shoulder discomfort and went to Cornerstone and was seen by Sean Gill. Sean assessed me and focused on my neck along with my shoulder. Through our sessions he slowly graded my personal exercise program, from range to strength, and with this my discomfort subsided. Celia is very professional and knowledgeable. Her sessions certainly helped improve my flexibility and the back pain I had been dealing with for over a year, improved significantly. Great clinic with convenient times available when you book in advance. Quinn was awesome at identifying my issues and answering questions along the way. You have to put in the work but the physiotherapists will help guide you and adjust your plan if certain exercises aren't working.
