I've been getting acupuncture (and cupping) treatments from Sarah for the past year and she's…read morefantastic. The space is calm quiet clean and relaxing but the best part for me is definitely Sarah's treatments. As others have written, she takes the time to listen to your issues, ask you further/clarifying questions and offer a treatment plan. She also consistently follows up on (and is open to revising) that plan - keeping records of your past issues, treatments and feedback (ie. How did you feel after we did these points?). Also, as a queer masc-leaning dyke, body work can be a rotten experience. Sarah has only ever been awesome. No weird assumptions or comments, and all the consent-practices you could hope for. I've recommended Sarah to several friends and when she's not available, I've heard that her colleagues are also excellent.

I was seeking out an acupuncturist to help me with sleep, lower back pain, digestion issues, and TMJ. Maria is so intuitive, knowledgeable, and kind. She listened to everything I was feeling and adjusted my treatment to meet my needs with each appointment. While I am so excited to get back home to Texas, I am sad to leave Maria and Acupuncture Center of Toronto. It's truly a place of healing!

This is my go-to place for my monthly massages because I absolutely love it!…read more I am someone who works a desk job, do not take as many breaks as I should, and some days I feel like I'm carrying all the world's problems. This brings me to why I max out on my massage benefits every year. Aches Away is great especially for their No Frills massages. I can appreciate a relaxing massage with essential oils and spa-type flair, but after about 30 mins I'm a bit bored. The No Frills massage is just that - go in and cater to your needs. Amy is my go-to RMT. I have tried their RMTs, but Amy is brilliant for me because she provides deep-tissue massage and hits pressure points. If I am honest, it hurt quite a lot in the beginning but in the best way. I felt renewed after. Since it is downtown, I typically walk or bike because parking can be a pain. The building is right outside of College station, which is quite convenient.

I was having serious stomach problems because of my gluten intolerance and Lindsey White cleaned up my diet, helped me balance my PH levels so I wasn't so acidic, and worked with me to figure out how best to treat my issue. My doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, but Lindsey had me feeling much better in weeks. It's worth noting that the staff here are super supportive of LGBT folks. I'm trans and they treat me with amazing respect and care. My pronouns and chosen name are always used, even though I haven't yet changed my legal name. it's a very trans-affirming place. If you have a benefits plan that will only cover naturopathy, but not acupuncture and you find acupuncture helpful, the practitioners will often just bill you for a naturopathy session so you can get the treatment covered through your plan. I met him before, and he really is a very warm and friendly individual. He did a great job assessing my knee problems and treating it accordingly. He asked about my habits and gave me advice on how to better care for myself. When massaging, he used the right level of force and ensured I wasn't in pain. I felt very much at ease with Carlo and was comfortable talking to him about everything - he made my experience a very positive one and I would highly recommend him.
