It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

Full disclosure I came for 3 or so appointments. My physiotherapist came to a similar conclusion about my injury as my family doctor had, which was a positive first sign. From there, I felt like I barely saw my physiotherapist and when I did, she seemed rushed. A half hour appointment would consist of having ultrasound and TENS machines used on my knee (TENS machine is you lying alone in a room with the TENS machine for 15 minutes), so I'd have human contact for literally 5 minutes out of the half hour I was there. It just didn't seem worth the money and most importantly, the time spent. Any physiotherapist can give you exercises to do, but it takes the right one to truly be invested in your care, spend the time with you and ensure you're making progress week after week. All in all I felt like this clinic relied way too much on the use of ultrasound and TENS machines (at least for my particular injury), and the lack of person-to-person care made me take my bum knee elsewhere.

I have been coming to the Adelaide Clinic for 15+ years. In that time, I have seen a number of…read morehealth practitioners (chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy and Chinese medicine) there and have always felt like my concerns and treatment was taken seriously and addressed to the best of their ability. I am also seen on time which is a rare thing in a doctor's office! The staff, doctors and practitioners here care about their patients. Reagan - for a massage that is out of this world, especially if you like deep tissue vs "light and fluffy". Jumy - for TCM, helped me address some issues through acupuncture and other treatments, which I use as an integral part of my health care. Last but not least, Dr. Lee has been my chiropractor for over 15 years, and he is the reason I first came to the clinic. In that time I have sent my husband, my mother with spinal issues, my grandmother and several other family members to see him. Dr. Lee focuses on the root cause of the problem, never just an "adjustment and done". Over the years, he has helped me recover from a knee injury, repetitive strain in arms and shoulders, back pain. He has also helped me be more aware of my body alignment and areas to strengthen, which keeps me out of his office, rather than in! To support his patients, Dr. Lee is always striving to further his knowledge and techniques, to work in partnership with other health care providers even when they are outside of his clinic, and genuinely cares for his patients and their well being and experience. I gladly continue to come to the Adelaide Clinic as partner in my health care.

I went during the xmas break and, like everywhere else in Chinatown, it was super busy I suppose with many people off work. I went upstairs to check in, and they led me downstairs, which was quiet and appeared to be an overflow area for when it was too busy upstairs. Lily was ok with English, and quite skilled too. I now know to ask for the pressure at the beginning if they don't ask, and she was good with heavy pressure, although not quite as intense as at XiangXiang. She also seemed to know where to apply pressure that would do the most good for me. I found that a good masseuse will know where the pressure is needed, without having to ask. The pacing was pretty good, although she was interrupted a couple times with admin but given how busy it was, it seemed not overly disruptive. She also seemed to have her eye on a surveillance monitor which was in the room, allowing them to keep watch on several different areas of the business. I haven't seen this anywhere else, but was understandable with how intense this place can get. I see that Yelp lists them as open until 10:30 pm which is at least an hour later than anywhere else, although I didn't confirm the hours during my visit. Overall a great experience and I will consider them in my top tier.
