We stumbled upon this gem yesterday in Asheville. We were visiting from charlotte and had just finished having dinner, all the other crystal stores were closed. This place rocks! Don't take them for granite. I came in here after doing a bit of a brewery crawl through Asheville. I saw shiny things in the window and had to stop in. I was delighted to see a bunch of museum quality items throughout the store. They have everything from huge crystals and mineral specimens that'd be great for a centerpiece of your room, to smaller things like small pebbles or crystals that you can put on jewelry. The items were visibly priced, so there was no guesswork with what things cost. The clerks were attentive, but let me browse around and check stuff out. They were there to answer any questions I had, and seemed to know what things were. They're minerals, not rocks. This is in a cool location, in sort of the basement of an art gallery upstairs, across the street from a brewery. Totally Asheville! read more

I have been to this store several times now and have made two purchases. I'm not a local in Asheville, but I always make a point to stop by this shop when I'm in town. The selection in here is quite big and most of the items are offered in various sizes. They also have quite a large selection of very big crystals and gems. I do feel like the prices are moderate to high for most of the items for sale. The staff does seem to be knowledgeable but not specifically over friendly. My last experience that I had was the best experience as the girl at the desk was very cheerful and friendly. A couple other times that I had went, I wasn't greeted but I had just come in to browse those day anyways. I do also enjoy how they have all of the items labeled with their names as well as a brief description of their attributes or how they can help us. Overall, I would recommend this shop to a friend and I do plan to continue to shop here myself! :) read more

Every time we go to Asheville we always stop here. The store has a great selection of gems and minerals. I feel his prices are a little too high for the quality that is offered. But he does have a great selection and we usually buy stuff when we go here. The prices are probably driven because he is in downtown Asheville. This store is my new favorite place! If you like "oddities," actual fossils, gorgeous (affordable!) rocks/minerals, amazing jewelry, etc., then you will love this store. I haven't even mentioned how amazing the staff is - they deserve their own 5 star review! They are very patient, knowledgeable, and just plain fun. Loved this place! Amazing customer service, the staff is super knowledgable and happy to share their passion. They have little cards that give you the 101 on the stones you buy, which is always a nice touch. Best of all, bracelets made of small, tumbled minerals. Don't buy jewelry here! Everything here is beautiful however, they have no way of fixing anything if you lose a stone or whatever. You will spend ridiculous money on something you may not be able to wear in 6months or so. And I have lost more stones than I wish to say and have stopped buying jewelry here. Very impressed by their customer service. I placed a phone order for a little item for my wife for Valentine's Day, and the lady who helped me was very helpful. They shipped the item promptly, but the postal service messed things up and incorrectly marked it undeliverable. By the time they got it back, it was only a couple days until Valentine's Day and I was afraid it wouldn't get to me in time. However, they shipped it again, Priority, and it arrived just in time. The mess-up by the post office was very frustrating, but the Cornerstone staff was super helpful and nice. Much appreciated! read more

This store sold my boyfriend a ring for our aniversary claiming it was sterling silver along with earrings. now that i have brought it to there attention they say they will fix it but "the boss it out of town" or "she hasnt came into the office yet" i have waited a little over a week for just a phone call.
