We always take notice of really nice dishes that restaurants use (so we can look up/order for personal use) and notice that many Asheville restaurants use East Fork. Even better that we researched and the company was actually there, downtown. The variety and colors of their products are right up our alley. Pricey, and service could be better, but worth a stop in to browse and pick up some pieces or a set. read more

This is the most cute store in all of Asheville. I take all of my out of town guests here and we collectively drool over all the pretty items. This store is so chic. And has amazing light and has an epic location right in the middle of Lexington. The staff is always glowing and super helpful. I also love when they have events and come out with new colors every once in a while. I'm a huge fan of how they create table top settings so you can see how the colors go with each other. If you haven't been here yet and you need some new kitchenware. This is your place. read more

I have had a very sub par experience with east fork asheville customer service on a special order that i placed with them. they must not be staffed appropriately for the volume of orders they receive. i paid for and placed an order in their asheville store and was told that i would get a call from them when the order was ready so that we could arrange the delivery date. they said the order would be ready within 8-10 weeks. at the end of the 10th week i checked in to get an update on the status. no one replied, but 24 hours later i got an email saying the items had shipped and there was a link to track the shipment. the tracking link took me to a google news page! the email didn't say the name of the shipper or timetable for delivery. I live in Asheville but was going out of town so would need to get someone to check on the delivery and get the boxes inside for me. I replied to the email to say i wasn't able to track the package because of the faulty link and i thought they were going to call me first before they shipped so we could confirm delivery details and be sure I'd be there to receive it. didn't hear back for 24-48 hours, left messages, sent another email, spoke with the very nice staff at the store who said they'd try to get the link for me or have customer service give me a call. nothing, crickets..... still don't have my order or know if/when it is actually on its way. bummer. great product + poor customer service = i'm not doing business with them again. read more

Customer service review... I had been looking for the set of rainbow dishes to give to my daughter for Christmas, and was excited to find them at the Atlanta store. Because I live in Asheville, I called the Georgia store, and purchased them over the phone. I told the sales associate I had a relative in the Atlanta area who could pick them up, and bring them to Asheville. The sales associate was very kind and let me know the following Wednesday there would be a courier between the Asheville store and the Atlanta store, and they would be happy to send them up to the Asheville store the Wednesday before Christmas, at no charge. I accepted the offer. The set never made it to the Asheville store. I began calling late Wednesday (after the courier had arrived in Asheville), to track the whereabouts of the dishes. Every time I reached someone on the phone, I was told they would call me back after they looked into the order. Between Wednesday and Friday, I spoke with four different associates, at three different locations, just trying to locate my order. I spoke with associates in the Asheville store, the Atlanta location, and apparently the downtown production warehouse. Because no one was actually calling me back (despite their pledge to do just that), I finally emailed the Atlanta store and received a quick message stating my package had never left the Atlanta store. Subsequent to that email, I received a phone call from an associate by the name of Sarah. She was very kind, and said that she would "expedite" the package by dropping it off with UPS that day. I was hopeful that "expedite" meant overnight shipping with UPS to my home. I asked her to please email me the tracking number that Friday as it was now the 23rd of December, and this was a Christmas gift. I did not receive an email with the tracking number until the following week. The package was not expedited with UPS. In fact, the package shipping label was not created until the 27th of December, and the package was not taken to a UPS facility for shipping until the 28th of December, according to the UPS records. The package I was told would be "expedited" was shipped five days after the date I was given for shipment, and was sent using UPS ground. The gift arrived nearly a week after I was told it had been shipped from the Atlanta location. But it gets better... Tonight, the intended recipient happened to be at the Asheville East Fork store, making a purchase downtown. When she gave her name at the register, she was asked excitedly "oh, did you receive your set of rainbow bowls from Atlanta?" When my daughter said that, yes, they had arrived that very day, the sales associate said to her... "Yeah, it's really hard to get people their items when they wait until the last minute before Christmas to purchase them." My daughter informed her that the dishes had been purchased with plenty of time to be gifted at Christmas... It was East Fork, who had dropped the ball in getting them where they needed to be. Days after the shipment finally arrived, I received an email from East Fork, asking me to fill out a customer service survey, asking if I was happy with the service received. I wrote out exactly what had happened, and emailed East fork back, since I was not at all happy with the customer service I had received. The response that I got was a backhanded note about how busy things are at Christmas time. Nothing more. For a company that prides themselves on being a high end purveyor of pottery, they have much to live up to in the customer service department. I have been, quite frankly, shocked by the customer service and follow-up exhibited by the East Fork Pottery team this holiday season. read more

I absolutely love East Fork blue ice cream bowls. I use them every day and the quality is outstanding. They are a beautiful shade of blue! Also the thick soft linen indigo kitchen towel is more than I ever dreamed of. Again, very high quality and color doesn't run in the wash. read more

We discovered East Fork pottery while having a wonderful dinner in Asheville one weekend visit. The server told us the beautiful plates they used were local and nearby, so the next morning we stopped by the East Fork shop. Inside the location is filled with their beautiful dinnerware. We arrived right after they opened and the store was already busy with customers. After a quick greet, one of the staff assisted us by showing the different color palates and the different dinnerware options. SOLD! We just loved their selection and bought a nice set of 4 for ourselves. East Fork's colors and designs were just what we had been seeking for some time, and we left very happy. We now realize we want to return on a future visit to Asheville and add to our selection. East Fork is unique and offers a beautiful assortment of dinnerware, which are handmade and worth the price. read more

A beautiful store, with amazing craftsmanship. We came in here looking for their signature mug on a trip to Asheville & were blown away by the beautiful pieces all over the store. It's a quiet oasis, with serving ware that is as beautiful as it is functional. Everyone and everything is locally sourced, but often sold out due to the high demand. It is worth the wait though! I seriously have an addiction to their pottery. Like we may be entering a recession and I'm still gonna buy it. New color? I need it. The store is so fun to check out. They have table settings in place to help you imagine up a perfect combo. The seconds are amazing and sometimes unrecognizably a second to the naked eye. Let's talk about quality. Their pottery is thick and durable and truly special for its simplicity. Every dish/snack/beverage you serve in a piece of their pottery will give you a boost of serotonin. My set became so many different colors very quickly and I didn't think they all went together. But it is so fun to mix and match different color pieces together and have options because a lot of them go beautifully together. Beautiful store. Amazing pottery. Fun little trinkets. I was in town with my husband, infant, and toddler. They had a little couch in the back, which my husband and toddler enjoyed while I shopped around. I'm a prop stylist, and own some East Fork already, so I didn't purchase any pottery while visiting. But I found some cool little japanese candles with paper wicks, that burn inward to keep their unique shape. The woman working was warm, and eager to help with anything we needed... she didn't seem to mind the kids which is always refreshing. Definitely visit this place. read more

what a beautiful Store , recently got added in the heart of downtown Asheville. I actually followed them on Instagram before i ever got to check it out , their site is very active and partly just hilarious. so yesterday we went and we were not disappointed. A pottery store in a bright , simple room with exposed brick. also the pottery is simple and just has amazing colors , i just love when artists know that their wares are so beautiful in Design that they don't add tons of kitschy stuff and buttons and glitter and weird colors. Mugs, Cups, Plates and Bowls in all shapes or sizes, Vases in big or small. Also a few things from other local Artists like dish Towels, Napkins... and unique cookware and knifes. some of the prices are quite high, especially if you want to go for a set but the quality looks so amazing and its just so beautiful that i rather pay a little more and know that i m going to like it for a really long time. the lady that worked there was very friendly and told us that their workshop is close to Marshall , thats just a little north, along the French Broad river, they have a wood fired Kiln and you can call them and arrange a Tour if you are interested. from now on this is my new go to store if i need gifts , small or big this have something for everybody that loves classical beautiful pottery. read more

It's a joy to walk into East Fork Pottery while you're exploring Asheville. The pottery is all beautiful and handmade. Whenever I don't know what to get someone I get them some pottery because everyone loves it and it matches so many styles. Drinking from my mug or using my incense burner makes me feel like I'm very chic and have my life together, even if I'm drinking crappy instant coffee in my messy room. They also pick gorgeous soaps, jewelry, and little gifts that they stock the store with. The owners also have the cutest family and are wonderful to interact with. Online ordering is also easy! Th quality and cleanliness of the pottery is beautiful. However I was disappointed in the store. I was hoping to see some of the grander, mare detailed and interesting pieces that East Fork has shown in the past.
