My family dentist retired after 35 years, and their office was sold to one of the chains you see popping up around town. I gave them a shot, but the dentist didn't introduce herself and just dove right into my oral cavity. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd like to at least know your name before you start poking around. It was an awkward and impersonal experience that was not what I had been accustomed to. This prompted me to search for a new dentist who took a more personal approach. I came across Dr. Dave at Cornerstone via a friend's recommendation and he has been amazing. I have only seen him twice, yet we speak like old buddies. He remembered my kids' names and what they've been up to. Lastly, I also want to give mad props to Dawn who did my cleaning. She is the same way as Dr. Dave, very pleasant and great to talk to as well. I couldn't be happier here. Recently, I had a failed bridge on my upper-right side arch and knew my options were few, dentures or implants. Also, aware that I have low sinuses, I didn't think I would be a candidate for implants. Not knowing anyone who does this kind of work and looking online for prosthodontics in my area did not result in many recommendations. My friend, Valerie Juzwiak, recommended Dr. Beckwith, as she had gone to school with him. I called Cornerstone and spoke with a knowledgeable, compassionate woman, Linda. I explained what was happening and how upset I was about the situation; she quickly arranged for a consult with Dr. Beckwith. After scans and xrays, it was worse than expected; both bridges had failed, left and right sides, and I had a sinus infection. Dr. Beckwith had more of an idea of what he was dealing with and developed an agreeable action plan. I spoke with Linda numerous times about my anxiety and hesitation about having such a procedure and how this was so life-changing. Linda was very understanding, empathic, and caring; she took me thru all the steps I should expect and things I didn't even think of and answered all my questions. Dentistry has changed, it's not what you might remember, and this office is state-of-the-art. On the day of surgery, Linda, Lisa, and Dr. Beckwith ensured that I was comfortable and not experiencing pain. The procedures took over seven hours; it was a lot of work. Overall, the whole experience was great, from the preparation to the procedures, and while the healing process continues, it's a lot better than I was expecting. read more

Good morning! I usually don't give recommendation, because it is a personal choice, what you may love , another will not . However I'm making an exception for this man !! If you are considering any kind of dental work, consider no more!! Go and do it , and do it with , CORNERSTONE DENTAL!! I had Implants and Crowns put in . My whole upper , and bottom was done !! A very big job by any means .. The Dr. sat with me , and told me straight up what he thought I needed to do , and then I told him what I was looking to do ! We agreed , the only thing I was afraid of was having a plate in my mouth that came in & out during the duration , which would be about a year . This great Dr. made me a plate for the upper teeth , that stayed in permanently until he took it out in the office . Not only did he take the fear away , he saved my dignity . He really did go out of his way to make sure I was happy every step of the way !! He is very professional , he talks to you with respect , and he LISTENED to what I wanted !! Not what he thought would look good ! I wanted Hollywood White ! Another dentist told me that wasn't natural looking!! I didn't want to look natural! This wonderful Dr. delivered exactly what I wanted !! As for his staff , you couldn't ask for better !! Every call is answered with a pleasant voice on the other end ,! The dental assistant are extremely kind and very knowledgeable. They know your nervous and they alway make you at ease .. I must shout out to Linda ! She is the women you will sit down with and talk about pricing . There was no hidden cost , no surprises at the end ! I paid as we went along , she never once asked me for a payment, ( like some places, want the money before you walk in ) As you may know , implants are a little costly , but worth every penny ! She is always smiling , answered all my questions , even when I called her personal phone by accident ! So my friends , you will not be disappointed , I was not even for a minute ! If you knew me , and the way I'm so critical of most professionals because they don't come up to all the hype! I honestly can say that if I could give more then five stars I would ! Updating to reply to the libelous comments. Your office manager refused to turn over my records upon request, a HIPAA violation. Refused for a week to send them to my new practice (ended up costing me out of pocket for a new set of FMX). Only after the insurance company paid were they released, which is the violation. An office must comply within 30 days, yes, but the blanket refusal is legally questionable. I came back to the office following the procedure, and it was open. Left after being refused records, then realized that I had not requested a bill be sent, since I had no further plans to ever use this office. Walked back up to the now locked door (literally 40-60 seconds had elapsed) and said through the glass that I just wanted a bill sent. Your office manager irrationally acted, called the police, and filed a false report. I LITERALLY stood at the door and simply asked for a bill to be sent. But since I saw her being a psychotic nut case, patiently waited for Hillsborough PD's time to be wasted and explained to the officers just how ludicrous she had acted. You're welcome to reach out to me to discuss this further. I doubt you will, however... but rather hide behind some backhanded apology to a customer who shed some light upon your troubled office manager. read more

Be prepared to wait and pay exorbitant fees way above reasonable and customary rates for most insurance companies. They will also hound you for cosmetic procedures with high costs and not necessary except to meet the practices fee quotas. Time to find another dentist who cares about patients and charging reasonable rates for standard services and not how he's going to pay for his fancy vehicle. read more

My daughter was in 18 months ago for work. Dr indicted several cavities and over 2,500 later we stopped seeing this Dr as costs became ridiculous. My SO and I have regular appointments here. He's had extensive cosmetic work done and I have gum disease so we are both there 4 times a year for cleanings. The hygienists are great. The oral surgeon, who's name escapes me, did my deep pocket surgeries and he is awesome too. I won't let another dentist touch my mouth. His staff is super friendly and you're not waiting for your appointment. If you are scheduled for 6:00, you're in your chair at 6:02. This doctors office is disgusting! All they are about is money. They charged my credit card for services I did not authorize. I wanted to speak to the doctor about it and they refused! I asked them to send me a statement and they refused! The office called me 3 times in one day to try and collect a balance from a visit I had two weeks prior. I had not received the Explanation of Benefits yet or even a statement from them. They were extremely rude and nasty. Please save yourself the trouble and aggravation and go to an office where they don't charge their patients for things they did not perform. read more
