Dr. George Shapiro is the friendliest, most energetic, caring doctor you'll come across. I was referred to him by my OBGYN and come 2-3 times a week! His staff is friendly and his schedule is always flexible, love how I can come in as a walk in while I'm suffering pregnancy aches and pains. They have unlimited maternity packages (I chose the 6 mo package) and I'll be here during postpartum as well. I love Chiropractors. I've been going to them since I was a kid thanks to my mom's great wisdom. I started going to Dr. Shapiro 7-8 months into my pregnancy after my Midwife (Naomi Drucker) urged me to (I put it off because work was full on and I couldn't find one close enough to me, but once COVID hit... I had a lot more time on my hands... enter Dr. Shapiro). He LOVES what he does, specifically pre-natal care. He is more passionate about pregnancy than you probably are. Towards the end of my pregnancy, carrying around 20-25lbs extra weight everyday really started to take a toll on me. Now, I'm 4 weeks postpartum and he's helping get everything back into place and I'm feeling more and more like myself. So great to have someone that can treat you before, during, and after pregnancy. He's also been caring for my son. Coming out that birth canal is no joke and these little bubs go through a lot to enter the world. My son specifically had some serious tightness on his left side, making it hard to breastfeed him on one side. A few visits to Dr. S and I'm already seeing improvement! (This is also in tandem with a lactation consultant). What a relief! Dr. S has a great zeal for life too, which makes every visit with him pleasant. And Daisy, at the front desk, is a gem. In the past I have very bad experiences with a chiropractor, Dr Shapiro is always professional and I never leave there in pain like my old chiropractor would leave me. Dr. Shapiro is the best chiropractor that I've ever been to, and I've had chiropractic care for sports injuries since I was a kid. I came to him for pre-natal care after hearing my baby was breach. She turned within two visits. He's magical and is extremely knowledgeable with a real passion for adjusting and helping people achieve better health. He also adjusts my neck perfectly so that I don't feel it at all, although it cracks tremendously. My migraines are now completely gone. His office is open and bright with classical music playing, and it's decorated with surfboards and antique furniture. Our doula recommended this place to me while I was pregnant, but I never made it. But once my daughter was born and we found out she preferred to nurse on only one side due to birth trauma, we took her here and she was good as new! She loved the adjustments Dr. Anthony would do and start laughing when she knew they were coming. He is very gentle and great with babies! Dr.Shapiro is Godsend! When my lousy midwife kept telling me at 33 weeks I would need a cesarean due to my baby being transverse, I started seeing Dr. Shapiro 3 times a week. The midwife fear mongered me so much so that when I showed up to his office for my first visit (after my midwife appointment) I couldn't hold back the tears. He was so empathic and put my mind at ease. He told me the baby may not be ready and he would try his best to get him in position. He also recommended some walking techniques to help. He was right! The baby just wasn't ready and he helped open up my pelvis. My baby was in perfect position. I truly believe his adjustments helped me have the quickest and easiest birth ever! I highly recommend him. He is also very affordable! Doesn't take insurance, but the prices are reasonable. A plus is seeing his car collection! Oh...They also offer massages! So relaxing! If you are pregnant or post pregnancy THIS IS THE PLACE FOR BODY MAINTENANCE. I saw Dr. Shapiro while I was pregnant because I was suffering from pain all over my body. After seeing him a few times, I could sleep soundly and I no longer felt discomfort. He is so so knowledgeable about an expecting mother's bone structure. He even guessed my DUE DATE TO THE EXACT DATE a few weeks ahead based on how my pelvic bones were positioned. My OBGYN was so impressed he asked for Dr. Shapiro's business card. Now that I'm in my postnatal body, I had even more sever back pain due to the fact that I cosleep and nurse my 10 month old every 2 hours around the clock. I even got "Mother's wrists" which felt excruciating and more so like carpel tunnel. Again after resuming my sessions with him, all was back to normal after just one visit.
