Let me start off by saying I typically visit Roche Brothers for items I cannot get at Whole Foods…read moreor Trader Joe's - so mostly for snacks or specialty items like a Duncan Hines boxed cake - strawberry is my fave! Been coming here for years, as everyone else has pointed out, it's conveniently located in DTX. When you walk in, you can buy prepared foods and sit down in a cafe, the main grocery store is in the basement. They have an excellent cheese section, snack section - so many different chips and crackers to choose from, and a fairly decent boxed cake section. They also have a lot of frozen items and other dairy products. I have purchased produce here but not very often. It wouldn't be my first choice - they don't have too great of a selection and it seems more expensive than WFs. They have a decent sized alcohol section but it's blocked off and you have to purchase alcohol in that section - no biggie tho. They have a variety of local beer and cider, which is nice. Near the checkout, they have the prepared foods, bakery, and meat counters. The items from the bakery case look decent but I have not tried them. The checkout line can be long sometimes but usually goes pretty fast. All in all, this a convenient location with lots of items to choose from. I'll def be back!

Walking in this place, that's definitely had the Italian vibe from the homemade food they had from the pasta salads to their lasagna and meatballs, and etc., along with their Italian cheeses on the far side of the store along with the Italian cakes. The staff was polite and very helpful. My main focus is trying out there Italian sub. I gotta say it was absolutely the best in the bread they use was really soft and delicious and different than the other breads that I've had out of the north end on an Italian sub. I'll definitely be back there to grab some more homemade food there. I have prepared in their glass coolers along with their cheese, but if you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out this place and grabbing yourself one of their sandwiches as they had a lot to pick from.

When I bit into the sub, the dried, rubber strips turned into tiny dry blocks of rubbery chicken. Terrible. The worst chicken parm I have ever purchased, and it wasn't cheap
