In the 90's it was located in a small shopping center near Lynnhaven Mall. Since my business had been located very close, I decided to give them a try with some of my precious memories. Year after year I returned numerous times to have the business beautifully frame & mat precious photos & playbills from my son's acting career. My Music Room walls are filled with them. They made old family pictures into beautiful works of art. The store was filled with frame choices. Knowledgeable employees would work with you on the best choices for frames & mats. The finished products were always gorgeous. It was sad when they disappeared from the Lynnhaven area location, I assumed the store had closed. So no framing for me has been done in the years since. Upon locating the store in Lynnhaven Convenience Center, I was anxious to see if the framing stock would be as extensive. It turned out to be more so. And there was a larger supply of other decorative accents & framed prints available for purchase. One of my theater memories that they had framed decades ago had been knocked off the wall & the glass had been broken. It was from a production my son had been featured in with Virginia Stage Company about 30 years ago. I had continued to postpone getting the glass replaced since I had not developed trust in another store. How excited I was to take it into Frame 'N' Art for repair. I had hoped to pick it up today but learned upon arrival that they close on Monday. The location of the shopping center is the north side of Virginia Beach Boulevard just west of its intersection with Lynnhaven Parkway. If coming from the east turn into the first, rather than the main entrance. There is plenty of parking. This store gets my highest recommendation. They do beautiful work.

She helped me pick the best frame colors for each photo we had. They were having a mega framing sale, so I jumped on it! The project took 2-weeks to complete and when I got the pieces back, I was beyond thrilled! This store is always so helpful and organized. It's the closest thing to a party store in town also. I love when they have sales on their seasonal items.

This is the (current) manager. This is the product I was in search of (snow-tex). When asked…read morewhere it was (because it wasn't in aisle 81 as the website states), he decided to be confrontational with a *very* snarky "sir, I'm trying to help you", **AFTER** he stated they didn't have any if it wasn't in that aisle. The website shows 15 in stock. That aisle has been partitioned for Christmas ware so it was moved to make room for seasonal items. It was indeed moved. I found the item, all 15 of them, doing his job for him. 1). Do not become confrontational with a customer. 2). Let a customer finish speaking. 3). Don't be snarky with a customer. 4). Do your j-o-b. It's simple, especially when there less people in your store than bottles of snow-Tex on a shelf IN AISLE FIFTY SEVEN. Maybe he'll know where when if he bothers to read Yelp reviews about his own store to help improve customer service. Not my job to tell him. And 5). ? Some advice: You're there to help the customer. We make YOUR job happen. Retail isn't for everyone, but there are jobs where you can be far in the back of a warehouse and don't have to deal with the public. Just a thought.

SHOPPING EXTAVAGANZA! Wowwwwww Weeeee…read more..... Was in Chris Brown's childhood hometown, Tappahanock, Va. and ran across this sensational shop. Tappahanock although a small town near the bay noticeably has charm and a smig of culture. As I was driving on Route 17, I noticed the bright colored flags flying in the wind outside this store. I actually drove by but the items on the front porch and colorful flags caught my attention & made me turn around. YIPPEE, glad I did. Oh where, oh where do I start?!? Jewelry by Waxing Poetic, calendars, appointment books, bottle holders key rings, etc. by Lilly Pulitzer, Lafco candles, serving-ware, napkins, house flags, sleep wear, make up bags, travel case, greeting cards and much more. I shopped for over an hour as there were upstairs, downstairs rooms and the front porch area that displayed a multitude of things to browse through. All the items on the front porch area were 50% off. Can you say BARGAIN!!!! Once I finally finished shopping, I could not believe the price I paid. I thought they had not charged me for all the items I selected and was a Happy Camper once the sales associate reported she had charged me for all items. She even jokingly said she would charge me more if I wanted. In the words of the infamous Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time for that". I am so elated about my LP appointment book, LP gifts for friends, several sleep wear tops, travel shoe shine kit, and ornate book markers. Customer Service is excellent. The sales associates/owner(s) are courteous and are not hovering over you as you shop. Can't wait until next month when I'm headed back down that way. You best believe I will be stopping here to shop. If you are ever near this place, you must stop in buy gifts for others or yourself. Happy Shopping!!!

In mid-May, I brought several awards to this frame shop to be professionally framed. This is not my…read morefirst time using this business. I have trusted them with framing projects in the past and have always been satisfied, which makes this experience even more disappointing because the level of service appears to have declined significantly. At the time I dropped off my awards, I was told they were a little backed up and that the work would take approximately three weeks to complete. I also paid a $180 deposit to begin the work. After about a month without any communication, I went to the shop to check on the status of my order. I was told that they had received emergency or rush orders that took priority over mine. That explanation was frustrating because I had already paid a substantial deposit and expected my order to be completed in the timeframe I was given. By mid-June, I returned to check on my order again, and it was still not finished. During my next visit in the first week of July, I was given a different explanation. I was told that the frames had been on backorder, that they had recently arrived, and that my order would be completed by the end of the following week. After waiting nearly three more weeks, I returned to the shop today, only to be told that my frames were still not ready. It has now been almost three months since I entrusted this business with my awards, despite originally being quoted a three-week turnaround. What is most disappointing is not simply the delay, but the repeated changes in the explanation and the lack of proactive communication. Throughout this process, I have had to repeatedly visit the shop just to get updates. Being told that "it's just me behind the counter taking orders" does not justify a delay of nearly three months or excuse the failure to keep customers informed. If the original estimate was unrealistic, I should have been given an honest timeframe from the beginning. If unexpected issues arose, a simple phone call or email would have gone a long way. Instead, I have received multiple explanations, repeated promises that the work would be completed "next week," and still have not received the finished product. As a returning customer, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I chose this frame shop because of the quality of service I received in the past, but it seems that things have gone downhill. At this point, I expect a clear completion date and for the business to honor the commitment it made when it accepted my order and my deposit.
