Pesto cavatappi
Jusuan L.

Good food, good portions, friendly staff, good location off the freeway, nicely cooled by a strong AC on a hot day. We stopped by this place passing through. It was as good as the other locations I've been too. We had the choose two combos for pesto cavatappi with chopped salad and pasta carbonara with broccoli cheddar soup. They were tasty and portions are good.

Today i had a short stack of amazing pancakes it was warm i ordered on the phone the restaurant was nice and clean the cashier was friendly and helpful thank you for my delicious pancakes

Dragonfruit Arnold Palmer

This is somewhere you can expect good solid food. Ordered the Anaheim Panini without meat and the dragonfruit arnold palmer. I felt the panini was a little small, but it was delicious. The arnold palmer was pretty good, but tasted a little syrupy or artificial due to the dragonfruit. Overall though, for a normal comfort meal, you can't really go wrong with Corner Bakery.

Caesar salad, tomato bisque, and tuna sandwich 1/14/24

This Corner Bakery is a few minutes away from the 101 freeway. This was the midpoint from the road trip the hubby and I were on so we stopped here for lunch. We placed our order at the counter with the courteous cashier. We found a table to sit at on a busy Sunday afternoon. I usually get the "choose any two" items so this time was the half club panini and Caesar salad. For my side, I chose mac n cheese. Food is 3.5 stars. The mac n cheese is good but could always use more cheese. Hubby had a tomato mozzarella half sandwich w/Caesar salad and tomato bisque soup. Also about 3.5 stars. A super kind gentleman came by later to bus our plates. We'll give then 3.5 stars but, the yelp 3.0 average as of now is fair.

Hello management, Food at Corner Bakery is well prepared and delicious. My only issue: every time we order takeout for 5 to 6 people one item is missing from our order or the entire order is not placed at all. We only find out our orders have not been prepared upon arrival for pick up. I think this would be a good thing to fixed. I will be back again. Best wishes and bon appétit.

Nice place, but a limited set of menu choices. Fairly pricey for a breakfast sandwich with no sides. Paid almost $30 for 2 for breakfast.

5/5 -- Freshness, Flavor, & Feel-Good Vibes!…read more Mendocino Farms is my happy place in sandwich form. The moment you walk in, the ambience has this bright, breezy energy--like the whole shop is rooting for you to have a delicious day. Everything feels clean, modern, and welcoming, the kind of spot where you could eat, relax, and maybe even rethink your life goals because the food is that good. Their salads? A celebration. Every bite is crunchy, colorful, and bold, like they convinced a farmers market to jump into a bowl. The sandwiches are stacked with flavor--thoughtful, hearty, and the kind you remember long after the crumbs disappear. And the soups have that cozy "made with love" warmth that lands exactly where you need it. But wait... their drinks. Their soda fountain is a whole adventure--sparkly, fun, and full of unexpected little flavor treasures. And the lemonades? Out of this world. Like sunshine decided to become a beverage. Tart, sweet, bright, and instantly mood-lifting. If you want food that tastes fresh, feels good, and somehow turns lunch into a tiny celebration, Mendocino Farms is the spot. It's the kind of place that makes eating well feel joyful.

It wasn't to my liking and was very hard for me to finish it. It had a large scoop of mustard pickle slaw that made the whole salad soggy. It also has vinaigrette and pickled red onions that made it a bit too sour for my tastes. The bbq dressing tried to cut through the sourness, but didn't do too much. I liked the Mendo crispies which gave it a nice crunch. I guess the dressing and slaw is what killed this salad for me. My wife ordered the Baja Green goddess which was delicious! Overall, wasn't a good experience for me because I didn't enjoy what I ordered. Maybe next time.

I always get outstanding service at Brent's Deli Westlake Village…read more Generous portions, freshly sliced lemons in their iced tea and plenty of free parking. Served within 5 minutes. Their club sandwiches are awesome and all of the classics. I highly recommend Brent's Deli.

We have been going to Brent's for almost 35 years. It's always been pretty good and everyone…read moreenjoyed it. But it has progressively gotten worse and worse and way too expensive considering how "meh" it was. We called the night before to add one person to our table of seven. My husband corrected them twice on his name. When we showed up there the next day, they called my husband while we were there asking if we were showing up. Of course they called the wrong name! So we waited extra. When we finally ordered our food , it was not the Brent's we had come to expect. I ordered the grilled cheese I was craving for Mother's Day (it was excellent before) and it was smashed, cold and underwhelming. I didn't send it back, I should have but everyone looked extremely overwhelmed. We were also moved to accommodate a bigger party. We were not asked. We were told. That rubbed us all the wrong way. After this meal, my mother in law wanted challah, I felt like we were bothering them at the counter. The whole experience was disappointing and expensive and underwhelming. I don't think any of us will be going back any time soon.

Bottega Italian Deli - 03. Turkey & Fontina Sandwich add avocado

Bottega Italian Deli in Thousand Oaks is basically a sandwich dealership. You walk in "just to…read morelook" and leave emotionally attached to a hot Italian like it paid your rent. Food? Stupid good. Bread's legit, meat's piled up like they're trying to protect you from starvation trauma, and everything tastes fresh like somebody's nonna is in the back judging your life choices. One bite and you're like... yeah ok, I get why people act feral about this place. But the line? Chaos. Not "organized deli line," more like "everyone just kinda vibes near the counter and hopes they get noticed." You'll see one dude who's been standing there 8 minutes pretending he's fine but he's clearly spiraling. And there's always someone ordering like it's their last meal: "Can I do the #7 but no onions, extra peppers, sauce on the side, cut it like triangles, and tell it I'm proud of it?" Relax, it's a sandwich, not a therapy session. Prices aren't cheap, but neither is happiness, so whatever. Overall: 4.5/5. If you want a real Italian deli sandwich that'll make Subway feel like a prank, go here. Just be ready to fight for your spot in the deli ecosystem.

The sandwich portions are hefty and they are well loaded. We felt like we got our money's worth in freshness and quantity. The veggie sandwich was a bit bland and needed a better balance of ingredients. But the chicken parmigiana sandwiches were packed with flavor, as was the Italian cold cut sandwich. My recommendation for this place would be to improve on the quality of the bread they use as it lacks flavor or richness. Put those ingredients on real sourdough bread or focaccia and it would be a very memorable sandwich. To the owner: we visited your lovely home town, as mentioned in your business profile, while we were in Rome a few years ago and had the most unforgettable pizzette rosse while there. Beautiful lake scenery and weather. Interesting coincidence : )
