    Pepperoni Pizza Meatball sub (large)

Tonight was a return the one of the best sandwich shop chains in Ventura County. I've visited multiple Firehouse Sub locations and all have similar experiences with quality and quantity of food. This location in TO is a little small, but it does offer indoor and outdoor seating. The service is standard and they try hard to keep their restaurant clean. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty and having the hot sauce bar is a treat! Tip: Get the sweet tea and chili. Both are very good and complement each other well.

That's the paper that was in the sandwich

I tried this store for the first time last week. Ordered the Club sandwich. Not bad but it helps to remove the paper that separates the cheese slices. Didn't appreciate that. I reached out to the store but no answer. Last time I go there.

It's rare to get a DoorDash order as good as this. We ordered two subs and they were both absolutely delicious. I spoke with the team at the restaurant, and they made sure my order was accurate. Came out perfect. Thank you! It was absolutely delicious.

    The Italian

First time trying out Firehouse Subs. We're long time Jersey Mike's fans. Got the Italian and was wowed! Love that the bread is toasted and they don't stinge on the fillings either. Ordered ahead for pickup via Ubereats (they had a BOGO deal) but server didn't seem to know about my order when I arrived which was odd because the place was empty at that time. They found it eventually. Small store with a few tables inside and some seating outside. In the same strip mall, you can go get some dessert after at Yogurtland or Lt Calf!

After a long day at the office I decided not to cook dinner. Since Sweetgreen, is on my way home and I've been wanting to give them a try so I thought I'd give it a try. What a great decision! I ordered their Harvest Salad (lots of healthy and organic greens and various other veggies, the diced chicken was so "Lip Smacking Good"! Dressing was flavored just right. I love the fact that my server asked how I liked my dressing mixed in the salad (light, slightly heavy or heavy). I went with lightly heavy, it was perfect!). For my drink I ordered their home made, Green Apple and Ginger. Very good as well. Serving size wise, there is enough for two days worth of a meal or for two people to share. Everything feels clean, modern, and welcoming, the kind of spot where you could eat, relax, and maybe even rethink your life goals because the food is that good. Their salads? A celebration. Every bite is crunchy, colorful, and bold, like they convinced a farmers market to jump into a bowl. The sandwiches are stacked with flavor--thoughtful, hearty, and the kind you remember long after the crumbs disappear. It wasn't to my liking and was very hard for me to finish it. It had a large scoop of mustard pickle slaw that made the whole salad soggy. It also has vinaigrette and pickled red onions that made it a bit too sour for my tastes. The bbq dressing tried to cut through the sourness, but didn't do too much. I liked the Mendo crispies which gave it a nice crunch. I guess the dressing and slaw is what killed this salad for me. My wife ordered the Baja Green goddess which was delicious! Overall, wasn't a good experience for me because I didn't enjoy what I ordered. Maybe next time.

I was hit with valet parking ($7 charge) as soon as I arrived so I was a little worried it might be a little snooty but the vibe was super casual once we were inside. After parking we made our way into the ordering area which has both a food ordering section and bar section. The menu is fairly basic but there are options for just about everyone from salads and paninis to pizzas. I got a pepperoni pizza and a red sangria while my husband got a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was pretty typical, nothing standout about it. But the pizza was actually pretty good. It has a very thin, cracker-like crust and decent flavors. After ordering at the counter, you take the buzzer and go grab a table in one of their many seating areas. I first stopped by the bar area to grab my sangria though. Even for a busy Easter Sunday, there was more than enough seating for all the people there. Take my advice and do a lap so you know where to sit before committing to a spot. We sat right up front where everyone else was. But after eating , I took my sangria and went on a stroll through the little vineyard and other seating areas there. You truly feel like you stepped into Disneyland or Italy when you are there. It's this beautiful little working vineyard in the middle of Westlake Village. Prices were a little steep for the food quality but the ambiance was totally worth it. They even had a live jazz trio playing which added to the vibe. There were tons of families having lunch there and I think that on a normal weekend this place is probably a great spot to come with a group of friends for a little day drinking and wine tasting.

Their delivery system has always been kinda low-rent for such a lovely location, and kinda expensive, but still ok. Two orders of ham crepes tasted fine but were literally cold. One order of Bagel and lox was served with what tasted like a store bought bagel and almost-old salmon, but still tasted ok. Teaspoon of cream cheese included. Other order was a blueberry muffin which had no distinguishing characteristics. So... plenty of lovely and beautiful people there, and the restaurant was as-always ok, but honestly, after being in business maybe 15 years, it was just barely ok.
