We have gone to the Corner Bagel for years and loved it. However, for the past year it has steadily gone downhill. On our last visit both of our orders came to the table wrong. I went to the drink bar for a piece of lemon and the container was empty. I asked the girl at the counter for a lemon and she said, "we're working on it!" She finally brought the container back to the bar and returned to the counter without a word (passive aggressive). Also, there was a workman with saw, hammer and staple gun working on the trash cabinet. Besides the help being snippy, the service being less than, they are usually out of several kinds of bagels. So sad to say goodbye to what used to be a favorite. read more

If you come from the South. You probably think they serve bagel's. If you haven't traveled to New York. You have no idea what they should taste like. Bagels are a 'Jewish' thing. (I'm not a Jew) However If you have some 'good ole boy' from the South trying to pass off what they sell as a bagel. It would be similar to going to Olive Garden and thinking that's Italian food. Can't help it. I'm an 83 year old Italian Yankee! Who lived in NY 50 years. With an exceptional palate. And have eaten in exceptional restaurants. In this world No qualms with Corner Bagels. Just feel they have the wrong name. I think it should be called 'Southern Bagelmuffins' read more

Found this place on Yelp during a visit to Anderson. While not quite comparable to a true New York Bagel, it's pretty darn close. Good assortment of flavors and schmears as well. Loved the Salt, sundried tomato and everything bagels. Service was prompt. Big place. Used to be an Italian restaurant so very spaciest. read more

They changed the website a few months ago for online ordering and it no longer works to be able to make bulk bagel orders. I advised them of the issue shortly after the change but it remains unresolved more than three months later. It would not be so bad if they would answer the phone to take an order. I was a longtime patron and am now going elsewhere for my bagels. It is just not worth the hassle anymore to try to work these folks who could care less about customers and repeat business. read more

Corner bagel is the best breakfast spot in Anderson, SC. They have great bagels and unique cream cheese flavors. I always get the honey walnut and it's delicious! Service is fast and they have very fair prices. They recently moved to a new location and their new building is such an upgrade. - One thing to note though is you need to arrive early to get the full selection of bagels because they run out fast. read more

Corner Bagel Bakery and Deli in Anderson, SC is a solid Bagel Bakery and Deli. It is well worth the stop if you are looking for breakfast or lunch. We stopped in for lunch. Cool stop with plenty of tables inside and the staff are on point and quick. Seems like they serve lots of people on the weekend. The sandwiches here are awesome with homemade loaf bread. I had the Spicy Rascal and my buddy got the Dipper both were amazing!! Corner Bagel definitely deserves 5 Stars !! read more

The staff is friendly, and helpful. Best orange cranberry muffin in town. Yesterday I got the Wild Roast beef sandwich, and salad. The sandwich was delicious with just the right heat for the horseradish. I was not a fan of the balsamic vinaigrette dressing, but the salad was good otherwise. read more

Wish we could have gone every day! The bagels are phenomenal and the Vietnamese coffee is so great!

Great bagels... great coffee. I've had their egg bagels and they are great. The bagels are all freshly made and far better than you get most places. The cream cheese bagel must have a quarter of a pound of cream cheese in it. I've met people here for breakfast prior to Covid. It's a classic place. If you like bagels, try it. read more

Corner Bagel is a staple in the Anderson community-- great food & great people. I got the dirty eggs which were delightful. The homemade bagels are indubitably delicious but they are kind of small. They also have grilled muffins which are a must try!! Reasonably priced but strange hours. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend! read more

Ate at Corner Bagel for breakfast. I was HIGHLY disappointed with my bagel chips. I got broken up pieces and crumbs everywhere & they told me my second order of bagel chips would be refunded to my card because what they gave me were the last ones. And last time I went they were completely out of bagel chips. I'm sick of it. And the refund hasn't even went back in the bank yet. read more

What's sadly amazing is they use the word 'Bagel' in their name. It should be called Corner 'Buffon' Bakery This is truly more a 'Muffin' with a hole in the middle, trying to pass as a bagel. But if you have no idea what a bagel is supposed to taste like, I guess it passes. it appears so, because they are always busy with the same people I think who believe 'skins' is a Frankfurter, Hot Dog or Weiner. What ever you call it. (at least you can put chili on it so theirs some meat content) You want a Bagel, take a ride to Greenvile and visit Greenfield Bagels, you want a frankfurter go to Public's and pick up Hebrew National or Sabrett. Or just go to Costco and try theirs. BEAM ME UP SCOTTY!!!! I guess it all comes down to what you 'gross' up with, hey they eat live bats in China and love them. Want to hear what I think about Little Piggies, or Mama Pens So to end this nicely, and show you can eat well in Anderson Bleakly Inn 151 ***** Earl Street ***** Summer Joe's **** Sweetery ***** Smokin Pig **** Public's Deli *****. (Best sandwich in town) ( only Boar's Head ) Could mention 10 more. However enough for tonight. I'm in rare form Don't mean to offend, Just have to say it like it is. read more

I am so disappointed in the new Corner Bagel. I've been coming to this establishment since it first opened and since they moved locations, the restaurant has gone downhill. Within my hour of being here, I had to wait for my bagel and saw bugs flying around. I guess the new standard is bare minimum... read more

The staff were friendly and the shop was cute but where I come from we put cream cheese on both halves of a bagel. I just felt a little ripped off. 2013 #166 / 365 read more

Took my husband for the first time today and the experience was awful. From start to finish. They were better in the smaller location. Food was not great, all the bagel chips burnt and took forever to get our food. Places was absolutely dirty. We were there for an hour not the first person cleaned a table. Don't waste your money nor your time. Go elsewhere. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE this place! But can someone PLEASE tell me why it's SO difficult to get an order right?! The last FOUR times I've come here, the absolutely cannot get my order right! It's literally an egg and cheese on a 8 grain bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. NOT DIFFICULT! Do better, Corner Bagel!!!! read more

Been coming in for YEARS. Of late it's the Anderson "University" social hub and de facto prayer meeting enclave. Bagels still great-bread...not so great. My criticism is bussing tables. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes and not ONE table has been cleaned. read more

This is the kind of restaurant that makes me proud of myself for bypassing the commonplace fast food chains! Delicious fresh bagels, coffee and many sandwich options for both breakfast and lunch served at this tiny establishment tucked away in a corner of a unassuming strip mall near Anderson University. The friendly staff are helpful with their suggestions and the food was packed with amazing flavors. My sandwich, the Tasty Rascal was crazy good and I truly appreciated the nudge to get it from the gal that took my order. It came served with thinly sliced bagel chips. It was very filling and the prices were reasonable. Check it out. read more

A co-worker was in Anderson and offered to pick me up a turkey & cheddar bagel sandwich. What I received was definitely not considered a sandwich. It could only be considered a bagel with a minor hint of turkey and an even minor hint of cheddar. What a huge misrepresentation of a sandwich. Next time just charge me for a bagel because it definitely was NOT a sandwich read more

Corner Bagel Bakery & Deli - Sad sad sad - Bagels Near Me - Anderson, South Carolina

I used to come here all the time. Working at the hospital and EMS I loved this place a year ago. The last 3 times I've been here they have waited until after I paid to let me know that they have no bagel chips, when that is literally the reason I go there. I would have left both times had they told me the truth when we were on the phone. I'm not sure how a bagel shop with plenty of bagels has no bagel chips..... The customer service has went downhill sufficiently and they never have muffins when I go in either. Sad to say but I will not be back if something doesn't get better here. read more

Corner Bagel is a cute, homey little shop located in a small strip of stores. The parking lot looks really cramped and tight, but there's actually a larger lot behind. You can only come in through the main road I believe, so don't go turning into a side road thinking there's a different entrance. You can also walk in from the back parking lot, it's just a labyrinth of hallways and storage rooms. You even pass through the kitchen and might catch a glimpse of some homemade bagel action going on. The menu is located in a board above the "kitchen" in the front. There's also menus located on the counter strewn about. It's a relatively large menu, enough to satisfy your sandwich or your bagel cravings. All the sandwiches come with their signature bagel chips. They are simply thinly cut bagels that are baked? or fried? and they taste pretty good. They almost remind me of the Stacy's pita chips, but bagel shaped of course. There's fresh bread loaves for sale in the front of the store and fresh muffins behind the counter. I got the lox bagel. A classic staple of any bagel shop: bagel, cream cheese, cured salmon, capers, and thinly sliced onions. I got the garlic bagel since it seemed the everything was out. While the sandwich was good, it wasn't one of my favorite nova lox bagels I've had. The bagels were a little chewier than I'd like. There were too many capers and large blobs of cream cheese that overwhelmed everything and I ended up having to scrape stuff out. My boyfriend's sandwich looked good, and the portions of bagel chips were good. He got the spicy rascal, I think. He said it was actually pretty spicy, though they ran out of the bread that it usually came with. They substituted it with a sourdough bread instead. Last time I came, the chips were extremely hard, but this time around they were crispy and not hard on your teeth. The tables are dirty more often than not, but it's not really their job to service the table besides bringing the food over. Overall, it's a good place for lunch or breakfast, it's not super special and innovative. It's a simple bagel shop that is there to fulfill the bagel shaped hole in your stomach. read more

A friend of mine recommended that we go here for lunch and I really enjoyed the food, the bagel chips are an acquired taste. The only warning I would give is that they don't tell you can get something besides the bagel chips. It's in very small print on the menu that pasta salad is also an option. read more

Great place. Bagels are good as are the sandwiches! Employees are extremely friendly. Also don't forget about their in-house baked breads!

I really loved this place. Unfortunately, while eating a bagel there this morning, I found a "long, human hair" in my cream cheese. Without making a scene, I pointed the hair to a young lady behind the counter. She asked, "Do you want another bagel?". I declined because finding a hair in my food kills my appetite. That was it. There was no offer to refund me. I simply threw the bagel away and left. Hygiene and sanitation should be first and foremost when handling food and loose hair has no place in a clean kitchen. I will never return to this business. My advice, "Wear Hairnets!" Disappointed in Anderson read more

MY FAVORITE PLACE IN ANDERSON!!! When I was first told to try Corner Bagel, I was not excited. Bagels? Bleh. Boring. I walked in the back door, through a strange storage situation, by the kitchen, and finally into the main restaurant...The trek did nothing to improve my pre-meal expectations. I was a card-carrying Debbie Downer by the time I reached the counter. But, then.... Y'all, the Corner Bagel is SOOOOOO much more than bagels. Their sandwiches are utterly life changing. From the first bite, I no longer cared one iota what the restaurant was called nor what it looked like! The Mardena (with honey mustard subbed for regular mustard) and the homemade bagel chips (with an extra side of honey mustard for dippage) is my all-time favorite lunch choice. Of any restaurant. Anywhere. Ever. Give Corner Bagel a try. It's delicious. It's affordable. It's efficient. Did I mention it's delicious? You will NOT be disappointed! read more
