I'd been waiting oh so patiently for Glazed Bakery to open. When we saw the "coming soon" signage I was so excited, driving by regularly in anticipation and the wait was absolutely worth it!! The owners are lovely and you can tell their passion for the bakery by how excited they are to discuss what options they have available. We tried a couple of items from sweet to savory and everything was so delicious! The bakery inside and out setup is adorable! The exposed kitchens offer a bit of intrigue and I just wanna get back in there and learn about the basics of baking, something I enjoy but I'm not very good at myself lol. Maybe they will consider offering little workshops I love that they have separate kitchens dedicated to gluten free and non-gluten free to prevent cross contamination. They even offer doggie treats! Glazed Bakery is such a welcome addition to Anderson and will for sure be a regular!

I loved going to the local ice cream or frozen custard stand with my family when I was a kid... and…read moreVampire Penguin is a reminder of it. There's outdoor seating (umbrella tables) and indoor as well. A very small strip mall near Lowe's and Target. Staff is friendly and helpful-- though not chatty. VP caters to families, even though the prices are a bit higher than at a crushed ice stand. (Huge difference is that this is shaved SNOW-- and it is way better tasting than the crushed ice). These are more like a gourmet dessert that have "eye appeal" and taste great. (Get small size for your kids they are pretty filling). So to summarize, it's fun because it's not ordinary and the staff takes pride in their creations. Make your own if you're adventurous, which I plan to do next time. Been three times now. I like it a great deal and don't feel weighed down after eating it. Also Fuji is walking distance, if you want to make an evening of it with dinner/dessert. (Oh... don't forget to use the tip jar for the staff)

They freeze the flavor into he ice block and then shave it to the finest powder it rivals a fresh snow fall!! I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch because they were out of the cinnamon roll. They put all the cinnamon roll toppings in it to make up for it though!! The texture is so unique and the topping were great. My husband got the Reece's with peanut butter "snow". It was also amazing. If you're looking for something to feed your sweet tooth come here for sure.

I've already stopped by here a couple times, so I think it's about time for a review…read more Most of the process is done without any human interaction, unless you get the rare occasion that somebody is available, you're going to be putting your order into a tablet. Everything is super clean and almost empty up front. But the colors are really nice and the process is pretty simple. They have about six available flavors any given day, and they frequently rotate. Just recently they started the mini cookies, which is great because I buy these for my staff and sometimes they don't want a giant cookie. So having a mini cookie gives them the option of having a taste of something without having to commit to the whole thing. Usually delicious, these cookies make an impression and are even great for gifts. Gifts. They have gift wrapping available as well. I rated four stars due to the lack of interaction with the staff, and sometimes if you get them on a bad day they're kind of standoffish. But thankfully, most of your interaction is digital and they just hand you your order. Usually they'll give you a smile. I would definitely recommend just ordering ahead and picking up so you can enjoy these cookies!
