We recently visited with a party of 12 and had a deeply disappointing experience. Some of our group…read morearrived early to inform the staff of our party size and were told they could accommodate us--but once everyone arrived (just five minutes later), we were told otherwise. Instead of seating us as promised, they filled the tables they claimed were reserved for us, despite our clear communication. We were then split into three separate tables, which diminished the group experience we came for. To make matters worse, it took over 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink orders, while other guests who arrived after us were already being served. We got up and left. They will not have our business which would have been considerable. It's unfortunate when policies are inconsistently applied and communication falls short--especially when it's such an easy fix with a little planning, common sense and attentiveness. We took our business to Metro Diner down the road and had a completely different experience. Take your money there too.

Wow, where do I start? We stopped here for ONE thing on our way out of town for a wedding (with an…read moreopen bar, important as we needed a bunch of $1s for tipping) so I decided to get a chicken biscuit with egg at the Raise the Roost Chicken & Biscuits. I order and get the receipt and take it to the register to pay with a $20 bill and ask the clerk for all ones telling her we need tip money later on. The biscuit was $3.89. As the clerk is handing me the change, they guy that took my order and went to the back to make my biscuit walks back out front to the register and hands it to me asking if I'd like a bag, I tell him no thank you and we all exchange pleasantly as I walk out the door with the change in one hand and my biscuit in the other. Now we're heading down the interstate and I'm checking everything out, I should have gotten $16.11 change back but instead I got back $15.85. 26¢ not a huge deal, but what I can't understand is how someone even comes up with that when the register in front of them is telling them the answer to the simple math equation that I did in my head without even realizing it. But that's not even the "GOOD" part, I didn't even get a freaking chicken biscuit! I got a rubbery flat ass cold sausage biscuit, but hey, it had a dried out egg on it so he got part of it right. The one and only Raise the Roost employee working took my order after we discussed it as a special order and he rang it up, CORRECTLY (it's on the receipt), then he went and made it... WRONG!!! But we're miles down the road and I'm pissed. Should have checked, but I guess shame on me in having a little faith in people.

Mart, most every employee was friendly and tried to make it a point to speak or even help out the customer. Even with the "sub-par" service, this 7-11 has anything that anyone would need. All of their hot food items are wonderful and the fountain drink selection is fantastic. It also seems to have had the lowest gas prices in the area.
