They then used screws to put the broken piece back on and used pieces of bark from the tree and shoved it in the cracks to try to hide the mistake. I reached out several times to Roberto, the owner, only to have him hang up on me several times and after several messages and texts and messengers in attempt to get some reassurance, he was unwilling to return my calls and address the issue. I had to call another arborist to come out and address his mistakes. Praying he hasn't killed my beautiful tree. It's truly devastating and heartbreaking when you pay in full only to be ignored and scared that your beautiful tree you trusted an "experienced" company to trim was so terribly hacked and just pray it won't die. They won't step up and at the very least allow me to understand what happened. Zero communication from this company. Horrible experience. Highly recommend not using this company. I would leave zero stars if I could.

Review # 509 First…read moreTo Review...First To Tip + I Added This Business On Yelp ! :-) January 31, 2025 Well I had to find a new firewood company after the last two from 3-4 years ago went out of business or has lack of firewood inventory. I was Happy to search and find The Firewood Guy on Google and Facebook with 5 Star Reviews. I gave the owner Todd a call and he was nice enough to accommodate My request for a face cord of firewood for a total of $185.00. He also text Me when he was in route to deliver Saturday morning on 1/25/2025. This new business on Yelp is located in Chesterfield and accepts credit card payment or C.O.D. as I did. Hours are already posted when I added the business plus First To Tip. Phone: (586) 799-2562 or text him a message anytime and he will promptly return it. He delivers and stacks all year round. Firewood is Seasoned and choices are: Ash Bundles, Face Cord and supplies campfires or firepits bundles upon request. They will never just dump firewood in your driveway. It is a neat, organized, and quick efficient delivery of wood in a enclosed trailer, then unloaded and stacked where needed. I have already burned a couple of Hot fires in my family room since Todd delivered last weekend. I'm now pleased to be a new customer with The Firewood Guy! Awesome service and I recommend this business to other Yelpers looking for a new firewood company year round! Sincerely, Karen N. SpecialK :-)

The whole process could not have not been any easier! Gary quoted the job while I was at work so…read morehe came by the next day for us to sign the contract. We just bought the house in the late winter and he walked around the property with us and told us what kind of trees we had (to me, a tree is a tree). He explained what was going to bloom and when. We learned so much about our landscaping from him! The project involved cutting down a spruce tree that was touching a chimney (fire hazard, says homeowners insurance) and trimming a locust tree that was touching the garage roof. Thankfully he prepared me that locust tree had not been trimmed in very long time and had a lot of dead branches in it so they would wind up cutting it back by about a third. We still had not moved in yet and the crew was well into the job when I arrived the day they started the work -- and I'm so glad Gary mentioned that they would be cutting it back the locust tree so much. In hindsight, it really needed it! I saw the limbs and branches that were on the ground and they were in bad shape. The crew manager explained that the guy removed the dead stuff and cut it back off the roof and was in the process of shaping the tree so it was aesthetically pleasing. It wound up looking very good and I'm excited to see how it looks once it has leaves (should be soon as we're mid-April). The crew was in and our fairly quickly. The cleanup was amazing! You'd never know that they cut down a tree and did substantial trimming on another tree as every single twig was removed! I would definitely contact Gary again for any tree service! Thanks Gary!
