So I alerted the Tucson store and they made feel like they were doing me a favor to extend my lessons beyond 6 months , even though I already paid for the lessons.

The shipping carton had never even been opened. It was still taped shut exactly as it had arrived, with the paperwork still attached to the outside. At the store, the employee personally removed the original tape, opened the box, removed all the cardboard packing materials, and then took the golf bag out of the box and then the sealed clear plastic bag. It was obviously brand new and had never been used. What happened next was baffling. She proceeded to unzip pocket after pocket, reaching her hand inside and feeling around every compartment. I stood there through an exhaustive inspection of a golf bag that she had literally just removed herself from its original unopened packaging. The entire return took roughly 20 minutes. Then I discovered I was also not being refunded the $10.99 shipping charge. I questioned that because PGA TOUR Superstore advertises free standard shipping on qualifying orders over $99, and this was a nearly $300 purchase. The order shows that it was sent by "Guaranteed Ground," which is their 2-3 business-day service. I do not recall selecting or intentionally paying for expedited shipping. In fact, I ordered the bag on September 3 for a September 13 birthday, so I had ten days and would have had no reason to pay extra to receive it in two or three business days. I even pulled up my original order information at the store, but the $10.99 was still not refunded. I completely understand inspecting merchandise that has been opened or used. I also understand that upgraded shipping charges may be nonrefundable. But between the excessive inspection of a factory-sealed return and the unexpected shipping charge, the entire experience felt unnecessarily difficult and unfriendly. When I told my husband about it afterward, his response was, "Now you know why I don't shop there anymore." Unfortunately, after this experience, I understand exactly what he meant.

Here's the weird thing: I pull into the parking lot at 0700 and I'm getting passed in the lot by grandpa's in their Lincoln town cars and Camrys. They're doing 50 mph in the big parking lot racing for spaces. These old guys jump out of their vehicles before their car comes to a complete stop, they hop out, and in one fluid motion they lace up their sketcher extra wide spikeless, open their clic gear, toss their ping cart bag full of metal woods and wedges with iron covers on the cart and grimly hobble as fast as their reconstructed knees will take them into the proshop to be first off the tee box. It was the angstyest golf scene I've ever seen. But here's the thing. It's well run, the pro shop flows people thru, the starter pairs them up quick and the pace of play on a Friday morning at this high round count track was okay. 18 holes in 4hrs...not bad. Greens rolled true but look like they're recovering. Fairways okay, bunkers for sure need more sand and less clay but hey, it ain't Augusta. For sure worth a round but I might have caught it on a good day as it has the high potential to be a 6 hr round and if the staff changes I can see how you can hate the place...so go soon before anything changes!

All staffs here (pro shop, starters , OSP) are all very friendly and professional. Each cart comes with two bottles of water. There are 3 nine holes; Palmer, Gambler and Pioneer. Our group's favorite courses are Palmer and Gambler. Palmer: this is not the typical easy pleasy resort course. It is super challenging / tough, a very target golf. Definitely not for beginners, but extremely satisfy after the round. Bathroom (Palmer): clean because it is literally a JW facility. But it requires a little walk through the pool area. Gambler: not as tough as Palmer but still quite challenging and fun. Bathroom (Gambler): I think it was portable. Sad since it is such a fancy facility. Pioneer: this is the friendliest 9 out of the three courses and appears to be the busiest too. Bathroom (Pioneer): don't remember. At our age we are looking to enjoy golf not to competitively score our lowest scoring round. Many of the par 4's can be reached in regulation. We had a nice experience and that is why we are returning. The golf pass reduces the cost from $70+ to $55. That is a good savings. Plenty of parking. Nice inside restaurant to get a bite to eat or a drink. Water throughout the course. It is hot now in the afternoons in Tucson. Suggest a morning tee time. Enjoy your round.
