i've tried calling this studio everyday this week to speak with someone about class options. The call gets routed to a centralized call center. No one picks up the phone or returns calls or emails. I also tried to set up an account online and the website does not work. I would encourage the owner to have a direct phone line so your customers can communicate directly with you. Expecting folks to pay $165 a month with this customer service is unacceptable. read more

Free week for people that want to trial it! I just tried this place for the first time. They give you a free mat and towel the first day to borrow. And if you spend around $40 on merch you get second week free. And if you're a member and you recommend someone you can get five dollars taken off your account. The place is super clean and relaxing. The staff are very friendly. I love how it's open late so if you work you can go at night. I tried candle light yoga. It was relaxing but definitely a work out. The instructor helped you get into the poses if needed. I wished he presented them so you didn't have to copy others around you since it is a beginner class, but it's easy to catch on. The hours and session types are flexible. You get a mini back massage and scented wet towel on your head at the end of class which is nice. Definitely a place I would recommend trying! read more

Vibes: friendly, positive, relaxing Set up: -2 studios, pretty clean and smell of herbal essences, tend to be on the warmer side either due to heated yoga or the number of people in the class -no online reservations (except for Ryder), just check-in at the front desk -mats and towels available for rental -well-equipped, bright locker room (need to bring your own lock) and bathroom Class thoughts: -Yoga Sculpt 75 min: vinyasa yoga sequences at a faster pace for cardio, with light weights added for upper body strengthening; ends with a cool down that ends in savasana and a cool cloth soaked in lavender placed on your forehead by the instructor; this class was particularly popular when I took it so there were about fifty people squished into the studio and the instructor did not really have a spot to demonstrate moves -Yoga Sculpt Bootcamp: a tabata workout that was very leg-heavy with jumps, squats, and lunges -CorePower Restore: more about meditation and promoting focus and relieving stiffness through four-minute or so holds (lots of hip openers) with soft jazz playing in the background; instructor comes around to do hands-on assists (a light massage), suggests use of blocks as necessary for pose modification, and reads inspirational messages in a slow, gentle tone -C2: heated yoga flow with gentle piano in the background; instructor gives verbal cues and provides modification suggestions with blocks read more

5 well-deserved stars for this exceptional yoga studio! It costs considerably more per month than my other health club membership, but in this case you get what you pay for. The teachers are great. They're genuinely nice and extremely knowledgeable about the practice of yoga. I really like how interactive the classes can be, without being a distraction. I also really appreciate how all the teachers are anxious to answer questions after class. Other places I've practiced I've noticed a certain cliquishness about teachers in that they only want to chat with their "friends" after class, questions be damned. Not here, these teachers love their jobs and love sharing their knowledge. The facility is wonderful. There are 3 studios total. The downstairs studio is the largest. Upstairs is the heated studio and the Ryder room. They actually have spin bikes that you can steer to really work your core. It's a great idea and a really nice addition to the regular yoga practice. As a triathlete I really appreciate the option, and my core appreciates the extra workout, too. Another nice thing about this facility- no shoes are allowed in the studios, and they request silence in the studio. I love having quiet to meditate before my classes, it really gets my mind/body connection firing, leading to a great practice. They also have nice locker rooms with showers, perfect for those of us that like to get in a workout at lunch. The locker rooms are small but clean and stocked with everything you need. If I have one complaint about this place, it's that towels are $1 to rent for a class. Yeah, it's only a buck, but for the cost of membership they should include them. One other thing is that they sell bottled water, and from what I see they sell a lot of it. This is a pet peeve of mine. I'd rather them have a tap and sell reusable bottles. Overall pretty minor stuff to complain about :) Great place to practice yoga. If you've done yoga you'll see the difference between this and other studios. If you've never done yoga before, do yourself a favor and try out this place. You will become hooked! read more

It was my very first time doing a full hot yoga class because I always was so nervous I wouldn't be able to breathe in there! The most ironic part I quickly learned is that the entire class focused on your b r e a t h. I grabbed a dear friend of mine to join me because it's amazing the deeper connection you can make when you practice together :) We attended the Hot Power Fusion: candlelight class with Kathy. We walked in to what you'd imagine with the title, just candle light and the heat of a large sauna. Throughout the entire class, I never felt behind. Some classes are a faster pace and I'm not familiar with all the poses so I tend to feel lost. This one was different. Every pose was your choice and you were able to modify if you didn't feel comfortable. The class felt like one smooth movement, slowly moving into another, sweating away all your worries, and breathing in all positive breaths. I felt like I could have worn a swimsuit in there I sweat so much but it felt AMAZING. Don't be afraid to try this one out yogis! read more

CorePower Yoga - Hinsdale - Far photo but you can see the room just lit in candlelight! - Yoga Near Me - Hinsdale, Illinois

This is a great studio in a wonderful location. The studio is clean, smells great and the instructors really care about helping you improve your practice. Also, after a 60-min, sweat inducing class, you're rewarded with a cold towel infused with a lavendar essence. It's a refreshing and rewarding way to end a class that is actually more difficult than it appears. What's great about CPY is that they have a convenient app that shows you lcoations and schedules around you as well as syncing to your calendar so you never have to forget about a class. They also offer classes for beginners to advanced, with a nice amount of varitions such as yoga with weights, hot yoga, and a Ryder class that resembles spin. The varities offered keep things fresh and interesting so you never get bored. This is probably the best CPY studio I have visited and why I opt to practice here, though I live in the city. read more

I'm still loving CorePower so much! Only now I visit the LaGrange location, which just opened September 21st! I've been praciticing yoga for almost a year and I love the experience and strength and challenge it offers you. You guys have been doing a fabulous job! Don't stop being awesome! read more

I went there today and enjoyed the community class with Janet. She has a welcoming personality and I really enjoyed talking with her and taking her class. Her voice is beautiful, calming, and I loved the message in class today!! I will most definitely be back! read more

They are still charging my charge card months after membership was cancelled. They don't answer the phone.

Highly recommend yoga to improve flexibility. My body has changed a lot in 6 months! I work ten minutes away, so this studio is super convenient to visit on my way home. I alternate between this studio and Glen Ellyn though, depending on the class. Glen Ellyn is the nicer and newer of the two, although they are both very clean. The schedule stays pretty consistent, and there are a variety of classes to choose from (based on difficulty). I stick to level 1 and hot power fusion classes for the most part. read more

So far I have tried this studio, Elmhurst, and Glen Ellyn they are all wonderful within this company. Nosa just lead the best level one class that I have ever taken at any studio anywhere it was basic and dynamic! You have to try any of his classes. He is an exceptional teacher that has a talent for timing his sequences perfectly. Well done- Namaste read more

I despise bad reviews for yoga, unless its Bikram. This studio is not what I think yoga should be geared towards, but it's in Hinsdale. The girls are very upbeat and sweet, but not very "om". Seems like theyre always trying to upsell, which irks me. And the basement studio sucked the life out of me. To each their own, this is not my cup of read, but it may be fantastic for someone else. Please try for yourself, there's nothing at all "bad" about it. read more

I just moved to Chicagoland from California, and was happy that there are so many corepower studios here. I loved the one in Berkeley, and was nervous I wouldn't find the same caliber here. I first went to the Oak Park/River Forest studio because I thought that was closest to me, but to be honest I didn't love it, primarily because it only had one studio so offered a limited number of classes. I also didn't love its atmosphere. Luckily, I found out a brand new studio opened in Hinsdale, which is much closer to me [in Oakbrook Terrace]. Things I like about this location: 1) It has three studios, so offers more classes, including Ryde; 2) Once you walk in, you can't really see anything outside, it feels more like an escape and helps me forget about everything else; 3) So far I've had good instructors, plus I love this lavender washcloth they put on your forehead at the end of class - they don't do that in California! Things I don't like: they are a little too anal about time: twice I have gotten there just when class was starting and wasn't allowed in. Overall, quality studio with nice amenities and unlimited free parking - definitely worth checking out if you live in the area. read more

I really like this studio. I'm new to this, I've done 3 classes there & liked all 3 instructors. Even tho the outside of the building is not new, the inside is totally new & very clean. The locker rooms are great. And I'm enjoying learning hot yoga - so far I really recommend it! read more

I have been going to CorePower for 2.5 years. I recently moved to Oak Brook Area and started going to Hinsdale location, compared to 3 other locations I have been to, I think this one has the best schedule as far as classes. ALL teachers are awesome especially Nicole (awesome in every class) love Gina for sculpt very organized, Nina is crazy good in Ryder. Anyways everyone is awesome. I love this place... LOVE IT! CANT LIVE WITHOUT THIS PLACE (says a girl that tried multiple studios) and recommend to everyone! GO AND TRY!!!! read more

I did a free week and then I usually just come in every now and then for a class and everything is great- I love the teachers and classes (usually do core power 1) but sometimes they don't give me the student discount per class which I don't get and then sometimes I have gotten it...but I'm giving it 3 stars because the studio isn't clean in my opinion! I'm usually upstairs and it doesn't seem like they have ever cleaned the floor!! It's convenient for me to come and I enjoy the classes but I would come way more often or consistently if I felt like the studio was cleaner. read more

I came here when it first opened last summer. One class and I was hooked -- the music, the atmosphere, the gentle teaching... I spent many hours and dollars at this studio. If you're not a traditional yogi (I wasn't) then this place is perfect for you. Highly recommend the upbeat Ryder classes and intense sculpt classes! read more

Simply wonderful. Enjoyed every bit of Yoga Sculpt with the great instructors at the Hinsdale CorePower Yoga. They are very motivational and extremely positive. I accomplished things I never thought were possible. Love, love, love. read more

I love corepower. Especially the Hinsdale location. When you walk in you feel as though you are at a spa. I go immediately to the locker room to put away my purse and shoes. There are hooks on the wooden cubbies so you can choose to bring a lock and lock up your things but no one ever does (I mean--it's Hinsdale). The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean and spa-like. The studio rooms are relaxing and peaceful and smell of lavender. All of the yogi instructors are awesome. The classes are an hour and at the end of the session the instructor places a cool leave for washcloth on your forehead. I always leave corepower with a clear mind and feeling detoxified. It's expensive to be a member but it's so worth it. Personally, I feel so much more productive on days that I get a corepower yoga session in. read more

I only attended one class but I will not be back. The instructor did not demonstrate any poses through the class and few times told us to continue doing the sequence on our own. I come to class to be instructed and taught and not left to do my own thing. I've been practicing yoga for a year at a different studio with skilled teachers so thist place felt little off to me. The studio for CP2 was small but not crowded and the locker room looked clean. read more

Love the studio, LOVE LOVE LOVE the teachers, but the fellow students are less than desired. They disrespect the yogis who use this time to relax and be in peace by chatting in the studio before, during and after class & someone is always bringing in their cell phone. Clearly they are unable to read the signs all over the building requesting otherwise. I have not seen this occur, to this extent, at any of the other CorePower studios. So if you want to gossip stay in the lobby until class begins. read more

I have been going to CorePower Hinsdale for about 2 months. I really like the classes, facility, and instructors. It was a no brainer for me when deciding whether to join after a free week. They had me at Nicole and lemon-lavender cloth. If you want to know what I mean, you'll have to find out for yourself! read more

Great teachers and positive environment. However, bring a lock! Someone took my jacket out of my locker and the jacket wasn't returned. I was in town for work, so I ended up not having a jacket the rest of my trip and wished I had used a lock! I'll never visit again without a lock. read more

I used to be a CorePower member (lasted for 4 yrs and a long time by any standard) but noticed their monthly dues seem to skyrocket every year. I understand yoga isn't cheap but in today's economy one has to be reasonable of how much to shell out for yoga. I visited Yoga By Degrees in Western Springs and can't help but draw a lot of parallelisms between the two studios. Turns out almost half the teachers that teach @ Yoga By Degrees came from a CorePower teacher training. Yoga By Degrees takes customer service to a whole new level not even close to what CorePower offers. I referred quite a number of people @ CorePower in the past and 7 out of 10 all agreed it felt corporate, stuffy, standoffish, and treated like a "number" off of a moving belt. Yoga By Degrees is distinct in a way that the connection, human element is there. Big smiles, they know your name, and walks/shows you through the facility. Classes are all heated vinyasa baptiste-based, they have power sculpt, they have yin yoga, they have 1-wk unlimited free, they cool, relaxing face towels--- and the best part??? WAAYYY AFFORDABLE, FRIENDLIER (Yes, the human element is there!) than CorePower!! Can anyone say WATCH OUT??? SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR a HEATED VINYASA practice-- Yoga By Degrees is the place to BE! and be BEAT!! read more

Mostly good teachers, nice studio (sometimes the locker room is clean--sometimes not clean), rigid schedule is my complaint. Time to mix up the schedule and the teachers--especially Sat. morning. I attended for 3 months--same schedule for 3 months. read more
