I cannot speak highly enough of this fabulous little secret in downtown LaGrange. They are nestled…read morein above the Hallmark store, super convenient to the train station. The vibe: The moment you step through the door you immediately feel welcome and at home. Everyone from the front desk staff to the instructors are always willing to stop and answer questions, show you around and help you get set up. The classes: There are many different styles of yoga from Vinyasa to Restorative, some offering sound baths, some offering Reiki. All of these are centered around the student, allowing each one to connect to what their body is calling for in that moment. The instructors: Oh my gosh! Every one of them exudes such amazing energy, but my advice is to try as many as you can to find the ones you vibe with. (They have a super first month deal that let's you do that without disturbing your wallet's energy!) Advice: Downtown LaGrange is a bustling 'burb and sometimes, especially early or later in the day, parking can require some patience. There are spaces on Burlington as well as a free lot just west of the studio. I'd recommend arriving about 20 minutes early just to make sure the parking karma is with you. If it's your first time to the studio, you'll want to allow ample time to park and get up to the space before class starts. The entrance is an indoor stairway just a door west of the Hallmark store. (There's a big sign on the sidewalk at the door). Take the stairs, and turn immediately to your left and you've found it. The door may be locked if the previous class is still in session or after about 10 minutes into the next one so students can remain focused. They do have mat rental for $2 if you don't have yours handy (such a sweet deal). Absolutely go check them out!

Went to as many classes and switched class types. I was hooked right away and knew the Berwyn location was my new yoga studio. I became a monthly member. I appreciate the in-person and Zoom options to meet my schedule. And the best part, truly, is the special touch of hot packets (optional) placed on the eyes at the start of Shavasana each class. Calms the mind, body, and soul!

I personally loved coming to yoga, enjoyed every class and interaction I've had. The reason for the…read more1 star review is due to their policy which I suggest the company rethink. I just found out 2 weeks ago I am pregnant, I am physically ill when I tried doing classes and decided it would be best to cancel my membership, I spoke to customer support which told me due to their policy I would still be charged for the next month since I did not cancel on time. I am physically not able to power through a class and was not offered a resolution, account credit does not work since I won't be able to come in any time soon and who knows after pregnancy if I will have time the first year. No compassion for human life. I'll make sure to highly discourage friends and family to obtain a membership at a place that will not care for their students, and look elsewhere for a yoga membership. This interaction felt like a total scam and at this point I am coming to terms that I just gave Core power 150 dollars just for the fun of it since I am not able to come in for the classes any more.

Now imagine practicing yoga in a place that has a city feel in the middle of the suburbs. That's Core Power LaGrange in a nutshell. No drugs, dirt, or stank :) This is such a cool studio. Its located on the 2nd floor of the building at the corner of Lagrange Rd and Burlington Ave, right next to the Metra. Parking is available for students only behind the building off Burlington. There are two rooms- one for really hot stuff, and the other for warm yoga. Each room has a cool view out onto downtown LaGrange. The rooms are really large and never feel crowded. Teachers are the same as all other locations, so the yoga itself is always uniform (and fun). The guys locker room is good sized- at least I never feel like I'm tripping over people, and they are nicely stocked with grooming stuff. Overall another awesome CorePower location. Definitely one of the more unique ones, and the location is perfect.
