Our instructor, Julien, was fantastic -- super welcoming, patient, and helpful throughout the whole class. She made it easy to follow along, even as first-timers, and her guidance really helped us feel comfortable and confident. The space was clean and calming, and the vibe of the class was just the right mix of challenging and supportive. I'm definitely planning to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone curious about trying Pilates! 10/10 would recommend!!

I've been taking classes at Boston Body Pilates in the Waterfront for about six weeks now, and my…read moreexperience has been overwhelmingly positive--especially thanks to Valencia, one of their instructors. She's a Black woman, and having that representation in a Pilates space genuinely matters to me. Starting where I started and seeing how far I've already come with her support has meant a lot. She remembers my name, makes me feel included rather than out of place, and gives hands-on guidance that actually helps me understand and correct my technique. It's the kind of attention that makes you want to keep showing up. From my very first day, I've also felt welcomed by Courtney, who greeted me when I walked in, and by Mallory, who's been responsive and kind over email. There's a sense of attentiveness throughout the studio that I really appreciate--especially with all the current conversations happening around inclusivity in Pilates spaces. Now, for the real talk: Communication They do say on their website that email is the best way to reach them, and they mean it. Calling is... hit or miss. I've called before and gotten no answer, and I've talked to other people who've had the same experience. So if you're looking for a quick phone response, good luck--you're better off emailing. Schedule & Space They offer classes seven days a week, with options in the morning, afternoon, and evening, which makes it easy to fit into any schedule. I'm also looking forward to exploring more of the studio, because they have different rooms with different machines and setups. Parking It's the Northend--so yes, parking is rough. You're likely paying $28+ unless you luck out with street parking. Keep that in mind when planning your trip. Location They're a bit tucked away. If you're taking a Lyft or driving, note that you can't just pull up right in front. They're located on the other side of Joe's (the restaurant). Once you figure it out, it's easy, but the first time can feel like a scavenger hunt. Other Note From time to time there's a dog in the studio, but I've never had it roaming around during class. Just something to know if you're allergic or prefer pet-free spaces. Overall, I've felt supported, included, and challenged in all the right ways. If you're considering trying Pilates--especially if you value representation, community, and instructors who actually pay attention--Boston Body Pilates Waterfront is worth checking out.

I will say the studio itself is in kinda weird location and it wasn't the most pleasant walk, but that's where my complaints end. Lydia was so nice and was a great instructor. Her choice of music was bomb and she did an excellent job with hands on corrections for newer students. She made sure that everyone had the correct form as opposed to just calling out instructions. The studio itself is gorgeous - personally I prefer the ones that have two rows of megaformers which this one does. The machines were in great condition (granted this is a newer studio). I woke up the next morning so sore, which is a good indicator to me of a challenging class. Obviously not local to the Boston area but if I were I'd be happy with this as my home studio.

Really disappointing experience here. Instructors are sub par, though Sunday restore class was ok…read more Front desk staff could not be any less interested in you - as a new student no tour, no friendly hellos, no instructions. Here is why I won't be going back to the studio - it was raining when I walked in, put my umbrella in the yoga mat bag, then shoes in shoe cubby then coat in top. Told front desk lady (who again could not be any less interested). Walked out of the class and some member moved everything to the other cubby zone - THIS UNACCEPTABLE! No one told me, no one stopped her. Why is someone touching my stuff and making a decision on where to move thing, when I specifically told front desk lady (who said nothing) that's that's where my stuff will be as otherwise I will likely forget the umbrella (that's why I put it in the yoga mat bag). No one asked for permission this other lady attending the class just made a decision to move without asking without announcing. I was asking where my stuff is when I walked out of the class, front desk lady had no idea. Again completely unacceptable - no one touches someone else's stuff without announcement or permission to do so! Especially post covid!

Only annoyance is the bathroom is down a hallway around the back of the studio, it's a bit weird. Hand sanitizer pumps in the studio would be helpful. They make you take shoes off in the foyer, which is a tad annoying but does keep the place nice and clean. Water cooler to fill bottles. Staff is really sweet. The mom and baby classes are excellent - there's yoga on Tuesdays and barre on Thursdays and the instructors are terrific. Very relaxed classes, no big deal if baby cries or you need to nurse, etc. They also have special classes and series regularly, which is nice. Very accessible on the 92 or 93 bus line (runs downtown - Haymarket to financial district - to/from Charlestown). Not the cheapest - $20 for a drop-in. But I think it's worth it.

I left with plenty of time found parking walked into the building And arrived at the door at roughly 11:29. The door was shut and locked but I heard multiple voices so I knocked for no reply. So I knocked again louder still nothing. Then at 11:33 I called the phone number on their site and could hear the phone ringing very loudly and no one picked it up. On their site it says explicitly if you arrive 5 or more minutes late you will not be allowed entry, however I was right on time!!! This was so disappointing and blatantly rude. I tried to support a small business but they seem to be unreliable and quite disrespectful if you ask me. I do not suggest going there due to their complicated "rules" that they don't even abide by as well as their utter ignorance and disregard for new customers.

Laura was my teacher and while most people would loathe teaching just 1 person, she eagerly and happily said it was fine to teach me even though no on else showed up. She taught a great heated Vinyasa Flow Class to some great music, and even half way through she stopped to focus on crow & also to ask me what my favorite things to do were and together we did frog & also fish pose together. Laura was so great; really warm and friendly and clearly knows her shit for teaching. I would for sure come back just for her class. The heat was perfect + I really appreciated how she took the class with ME instead of just staring at me awkwardly while I took the class Limited schedule currently but they have 1 morning and 1 night class each day.

Her style is to challenge you through out the class and yet give modification options along the way. She also has such a great energy that makes her classes much more enjoyable. I wish she was teaching more classes! Kat is another of my favorite. The studio is spacious, open and simple. The heat is not overwhelming, in fact it doesn't really get that hot which I don't mind it. The only reason I gave the place a 4 (instead of 5), it gets little too crowded.

I arrived a little late ( my fault) so I drove around for quite a while to find a spot. The entrance is a bit hidden too. It's not on the Main Street. It's on the side street toward the back of the building and when you enter there are some stairs that lead you up to the studio. They were warm and welcoming when I came in and I found my friends already laid out on their mats. Room was warm. Most classes are heated. My first heated yoga class. I enjoyed it but maybe found it a bit drying especially during wintertime. Definitely bring some water. Room was peacefully lit with candle everywhere. I felt a sense of peace as soon as I walked in. Nicole and Georgia ran the event. They were both sweet and kind and had such soothing voices as they led us through the class. Also very helpful to come around and help you out with any moves you may have trouble with. Hannah and Heather were lightly singing and playing musical instruments in the background. Beautiful voices! Classes typically run for an hour and 15 minutes and it's 15 bucks. You can also get class packs in tens, twenty, etc that lower the price for each class. Events like the one I went to are a bit more. I really enjoyed this event and will definitely come back to enjoy some regular yoga classes. Was so relaxed. Went home and slept like a baby!!

The owner Nichol is specially a lovely, kind and helpful lady. I had a couple of classes left from last 2 years from my last purchase from 2019 which I couldn't use due to covid and even when the restrictions were up , I wasn't too comfortable take physical yoga classes until recently only to realize the validity of my purchase had expired but I just made a call and Nichol reactivated the left out classes without asking a single question. I go to another yoga studio and in most studios they might do that but we also have to remember like any other service industry, the yoga business was hard hit during Covid so I wouldn't have requested to extend the validity if I would have a single sign of hesitation but Nichol couldn't be more helpful. I would also like to highly recommend the warm flow yoga classes with Nikki. I find her easier to follow specially when she introduces a new pose, she goes step by step and takes to another level and she has a reiki touch to the flow at the end of the practice which actually is very calming. However, all the trainers are very good. I have taken classes with some other trainers too and all of them are simply the master of their trades and equally good each one having an unique style. You should try them !
