Had such a great class! The instructor was knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back! the energy was so fun

I enjoy meeting here once a month for Yoga & Mimosas. The staff is very friendly. I participate in an hour long instructed yoga class and afterwards we drink Mimosas and chat. Feel free to check them out on the eventbrite page for upcoming events. Instead of doing the classes inside, they host the event in the parking deck on level one downstairs. (Under Crate & Barrel)

Proof I should have made it in time and that I made it before the grace period ended.

Honestly really debated writing this review but I think it's worth letting everyone know here. I used to be a regular at this studio, going every week but I will not be going back to this core power yoga studio (in Buckhead). A couple of months ago, I brought my baby sister in to try a yoga class with me. No where does it say a license is needed to take the class. She already signed up online and everything but didn't bring her license. If the instructor explained in a calm way, we would have been fine, but she looked at my sister like she was stupid for only bringing her gym essentials. She was so disrespectful to us that my sister (the nicest girl ever) refuses to come with me to that studio again. I decided to give the studio another try. I went yesterday to the 4:30pm yoga class. On a Saturday, so no traffic was expected. I left 30 minutes EARLY. When it only takes 12 minutes to get there. I'm the early type. Apparently, there was traffic around Lenox Mall bc there was a shooting. The roads around Lenox were gridlocked shut. In the photo you can see that I was 0.3 miles away (one to two min) at 4:19pm. Because of all the traffic, I made it to the studio by 4:32pm. I was told multiple times by the studio that there is a 5 min grace period (for things like this that happen). When we got there, I saw two other people standing outside the door. The instructor LOCKED the door, before the grace period ended. All in all, I'm not usually the type to be late to studios. I'm just appalled because instructors should be aware of things like shootings that happen right next door to your studio. You should be mindful of MULTIPLE people who are not in the class on time. Lastly, core power yoga NEEEDS A 24 hour customer service for things like this. They were open and I couldn't even call the studio. If I knew they wouldn't wait the grace period, I would've just started walking because a THATS HOW BAD TRAFFIC WAS. On top of that, bc I'm taking the class with ClassPass, I'm forced to pay the $20 no show fee even though I did show up before the grace period ended. BECAUSE I couldn't call customer service to explain the situation. It's a shame because I do like some of the instructors here, but I will definitely not be going back to THIS studio location because of the location at traffic time, the instructor who didnt wait (whom I can name but will be respectful enough not to) and the lack of customer service available. Just thought you should be aware that they WILL lock the door even BEFORE the grace period ends and that there is NO customer service line to call directly to that store.

Look forward to my next yoga session :)

After many months of taking up yoga at CorePower Yoga located at Shops around Lenox, I have to say I really enjoy going there for yoga sessions. I especially like the evening classes on Thursdays, though I prefer to attend classes on weekends. It can be quite a challenge for me to do anything (read: exercise) at the end of a weekday. However, some days I managed to convince myself and would be rather proud of myself after the lesson. Uttara is my favorite instructor and now she only teaches on Thursday evenings. I am so glad I am back in Atlanta and having my routine back. Today's intention for the class was positivity. I guess everyone of us can bring positivity and channeled it towards our daily lives, not just today but every day. We should always have positive thoughts towards ourselves and the people around us. Today's intention was perfect for me especially at the current moment. I would definitely want to continue to think positive in everything I did or do in the future. In recent times, there were a few people in my life who have not been too nice to me even though I have always treated them with kindness and understanding. The good thing about me is I chose love and compassion over anger towards those who were unkind, self-evolved and self serving. The bad thing about me is I get hurt, upset and disappointed even with undeserving people. Coming to CorePower helps me not just physically, but also to deal with my many situations in my life. It helps me feel focused, calm and anchored. So glad I have found this place in my life so I can grow in my yoga journey and also improve myself as a positive human being :)

You walk into a reception area lit brighter than a cafeteria. Nothing says relaxation like feeling like you're about to take an exam. For a $220 massage, your pre-service options are the hammam or sauna, which is very limited for the price. No steam room or jacuzzi. The robes are very comfortable, and the locker room is nice. Just be prepared to parade past a full gym in your robe on your way to unwind. I booked the Flow massage, which is supposed to be medium pressure. Instead, it felt like I was being buffed like a Camry rather than actually massaged. It came across more freestyle than intentional. I thought maybe it was just me, but both of my sisters had the exact same experience. Then comes the automatic gratuity, bringing the total to $260 for a massage that didn't deliver. If you're going to raise prices, the experience has to rise with it. This was a disappointment.

Active Sol Yoga is located in Buckhead on Bennett Street, which is right off Peachtree St. If you were familiar with Frank Ski's Restaurant & Lounge, then that's the street you turn in on to get there. Otherwise, you might easily pass the street since the street sign is a bit obscured. Once you turn onto Bennett, you drive almost all the way to the end of the street but take a left onto short street and the studio is located at the building at the top of the street. Hope that makes sense. I do like that it's away from the hustle & bustle of Peachtree Street. Upon arriving you'll see some benches on the right, a window (checking in) to the left and then an open area with cubbies to put your things in, apparel for sale and a clean restroom. They have too big, open studios with lots of natural light. Always a plus! Krishaunda lead our session. She started us with Vinyasa flow and ended our last 20 minutes with Restorative yoga. She was very nice. And I liked that she went around the class and helped to guide us into positions correctly. I was (& still am) pretty relaxed. Honestly could've stayed in shavasana pose for 15 more minutes. Or an hour or so. Lol.

The class was for beginners and was ran by our Yoga instructor Doug. Very knowledgeable guy who was great at helping both experienced and brand new (ahem, me) yoga enthusiasts get the best out of their experience. The room is upstairs, clean with wooden floors and although your own yoga mat and towels are recommended, they provide both to you for your first visit. Classes go for about 90 minutes, you'll sweat, and if there's a stretch you can't do, the instructor comes over to either fix you posture, or offer assistance in the form of extra blocks, etc. Located off of Waddell St, Yoga Samadhi has a private gravel lot that can get full, but we found parking. Getting in and out of this place was no problem, and being close to Atlanta, it's a must try if you have even the slightest interest in Yoga. The fact that your first class is free is just a cherry on top of the whole stretching and planking and namaste-ing experience. I've only been in the upstairs studio, which is clean, bright, and surprisingly cool given the hellish temperatures outside. They have plenty of blankets and bolsters to help you out if you need it, as well. My class was with Doug and he was great: didn't move too fast but wasn't painfully slow, always providing advice for how to make a move easier or more difficult. He was also always sure to give repeat instructions on when to inhale vs exhale: the thing I found most difficult.
