When the lender assigned this appraisal company and I read the reviews, I told my self "OMG this is a deal killer". But to be honest we had a different experience than others. The appraiser came on time as scheduled and was very professional. She was very experienced and knowledgeable about her job. After 1 business day our report was ready and the appraised value was fair enough. read more

They are the 3rd party flood certification company on our appraisal. Didn't visit the property, look at elevation lines or do an elevation survey. Seemingly they just looked at high-level FEMA map and made a decision. Sent documentation from a local county flood administrator who visited the property stating flood insurance isn't necessary, but they held firm in their decision. Makes me question what actual research they do when "certifying" for flood insurance. Wouldn't recommend using a bank that uses Corelogic services. read more

Corelogic has no logic in its Evaluations, they don't even use right properties as comparatives. Work for the lender and to suit their needs and opinions. Not an ethical company at all....Just trying to cover themselves from liability. They should not even be in business....Ridiculous how such companies thrive in this world. read more

I'm not the type of person who ever writes bad reviews, but I had to for this company as a warning. This company sent me a letter in the mail saying my apartment building did not approve my lease 3 weeks before I was moving across the country. I was absolutely panicked. I called their customer support line, which although nice, was not helpful at all. They said they were not responsible for any reasoning for why my application got denied and said it had nothing to do with them. I called my apartment building the next day to clear it up, and they said I was approved and couldn't think of a reason why this company sent me the letter - it made no sense to them. I thought something was wrong with my specific application until I found this article: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/corelogic-saferent.html So if you receive one of these letters, be skeptical until you contact your apartment company - it might not be relevant or accurate. read more

Appraiser came out for about 20 min. Submitted his appraisal within 4 days or so. He missed the fact I had central air in the house! How does that happen? He also used a comp over a year old! With this crazy market, that can't happen. My underwriters kicked it back to redo. And guess what, after the corrections, value of home app stayed the same?!? What a crock. read more

Our MLS switchEd from Flex to CoreLogic and it has been a terrible company to assist us with the transition.

It is a dirty shame, I am still waiting for an appraisal for over a month! The first person never showed up and when I called him back it took a days for him to get back to me to tell me he didn't want to do the work? Then a Linda come out about three weeks ago promising it would be done about two weeks ago and still no appraisal? It looks like my lock in rate may be going south. You would be wasting your time trying to talk with anyone from CL, just to try and find out a time frame. When they read this and if I ever get an appraisal, they'll probable drop off 20% of my beach property value! I should have looked at their reviews, lots of one stars! iT WAS SAD TO HEAR ABOUT THE CEO WHO CROSSED OVER EARLY LAST YEAR, HOWEVER, THEY SHOULD FIRE THIS NEW CEO PERSON!! only 46% for his or her employee survey? read more

Fell out of escrow today. Appraisal came $34k under asking and left me with no negotiating power. The appraisal was so far below market value I was at a complete loss and felt helpless. Submitted an appeal for a reconsideration just for them to come back with the same number. The sellers backed out and relisted. I did so much work and it came down to this moment. They had 31 offers on this home. read more

Customer service and lack of care was absolutely awful during our home buying experience. On the day of closing we needed their team to review our NFIP and they said that someone MIGHT get back to us in four hours, four hours to review? We are refinancing. Corelogic sent a guy for the appraisal. We haven't heard from him in about 3 weeks, after he went to the property. Turns out he tried to reach me, but could not. I did not get any voicemail, or emial, or anything. The appraiser said he cancelled it because the time expired, but they collected $1125 for that. Then, after we found the appraiser and he finished the report (which I have not received yet! already a month). The lender tells me that Corelogic are charging me $300 more for the second ?! appraisal. The appraiser did not go a second time. He just asked a few questions for about 5 minutes! The lender said he cannot do anything about it. I called Corelogic, useless customer service. After the fourth call a representative told me that they cannot discuss with me the file, only with the lender. I told her - I am paying $1500 for this appraisal and you cannot discuss it with me?! Super disturbing! Like other people wrote, I wonder how come banks are using this unprofessional, impolite, ignorant company to do appraisals for them. read more

CoreLogic is ILLogic. Total Joke of an Appraisal company. This company was hired by my bank to perform a desktop appraisal. They sent someone to take pictures from the street. The resolution of the images was terrible. The person taking the pictures marked that the house was average with no signs of upgrades (that is the siding, roof, and windows). All three of these are all brand new. $40,000 in hurricane windows, new $50,000 metal roof, new front door, new breezeway block, new landscaping. Our house looks brand new, but the inspector showed average on the report. Then the appraisal seems to arbitrarily pick two numbers a high and a low, with comparables from the area. Three of the five comparables are greater than six months ago. The assessor merely took a high and low value, neither of which reflect the comparables shown in the report, and divided by two, causing my value to be off by some $100K or more. If all five comps were used in the calculation, the value would have been much closer to reality, at least getting me above the LTV value. As a result of this low appraisal, the bank is justifying charging me 3/4% more since the LTV went to 75%. Is this a convenient scam? Something is fishy. Look at their reviews. Why would any bank or organization use them? Totally reeks of Illogic and Companies like this should not be allowed to operate. read more

worst customer service ever!!! They are pretty much running a scam. the company won't tell you any information on how they do the appraisal or what base they go off of to determine the value of the property. If you try to call to ask them any questions the one guy who answers the phone is super vague and literally will not answer your questions. I don't recommend them and they should be reported to the better business bureau and put out of business. read more

I would give this negative stars if it was possible but its not. They do not provide a thorough background check and they do not have any system in place to retain their customers. I rent a property and I ran a background check through CoreLogic their check came back "perfect" for the perspective tenant. It has been several months when we had cops knocking at our door looking for our tenant. Come to find out he had several arrests and convictions as I started googling information and was able to find this information all on my own. I was told "we only go by what the courts give us; the records may be suppressed" but how did I find these records by googling if they were suppressed. I thought it was such a SCAM!!! I am not sure why lenders, financial institutions work with this company! You call them and no one answers the phone, however an e-mail to them generates a flippant reply. DO NOT USE THEM FOR PROPERTY VALUATIONS. The automated valuation models this company uses in their property valuation reports is wrong. I received a valuation from them for a 4 bedroom/ 2 bath house in San Diego, CA that came in at $173,000 even though my walk through appraisal (with a different company) done a few months ago valued my home at $660,000, not to mention the comps are all in the $700,000 range. Absolutely horrible experience with this company. I asked for a trial or some type of demo to even figure out if it was something that would suit my needs for my company or if I should simply go with there competitor Propstream, the sales-representative that was eager for the sale said that they do not offer any trials or demos until a written commitment is made. I decided to try the services out and figured if it didn't suit my needs what's the worst that can happen, I can just cancel in 2 days instead of wasting my time and their time and I did exactly that. 2 Months later I am informed that my cancellation request was denied by the sales rep. and I have an invoice for $400 and some change and I have no option but to pay for something I've only logged into 3 times within the first 3 days of service and I have to keep the service for 10 more months. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE CoreLogic For ANYTHING. Propstream offers a free trial for 7 days and does not charge a penny or lock you into ANYTHING for those 7 days. Don't make the mistake, this company is hungry to screw people over who have no use for their services. read more

Lady showed up and did not take her shoes off or offer to put on booties. I offered shoe coverings and she said no she was fine. My property is only five years old and appraised at $350,000 less than a brand new house right down the street that has the same square footage and one less bedroom. All of CoreLogic's appraisals were older than six months old and when I questioned their appraisal and provided comps they shot done everything with very snarky answers. Here's the rub... CoreLogic owns MLS, Realist Tax Data service, Marshall and Swift Residential Cost Handbook, www.Floodcert.com, a Real Estate program to check appraisals and adjustments known as LSAM, and FNC Appraisal Port. As any anyone can see, CoreLogic has the market cornered and can do as they please. The lack of competition harms the consumer. Horrible appraisal service. Find another appraisal service. They work with Bank of America. My home was appraises in March of 2017 by Chase for "x" dollars. Market in our area has appreciated and we have done remodel yet Corelogic came in $40,000 under 2017 which is more than 5% below and I gave appraiser a comp sale of same model from a year ago which was higher than the 2017 appraisal. Beware of the Incompetence! We are selling our home. The buyer was working with a bank (unknown) who sent an appraiser from CoreLogic to look over our home. This first appraiser was very thorough, took a lot of time, asked questions that demonstrated good knowledge of construction techniques and material upgrades. Unfortunately, the buyer switched banks (to BoA), and they also selected CoreLogic but for some reason, they sent out another appraiser. She spent no more than 20 minutes onsite, spent 5 minutes or more of that time playing with our dog before starting her cursory inspection. No questions, didn't really want to see much, just a few quick pics on her phone and she was off. My wife had to practically twist her arm to look at some areas. Her lack of thoroughness was evident in her report, in which she incorrectly indicated there had been no updates in 15 years when in fact we have done numerous updates, most in the past 3-8 years, including completely updating the kitchen redoing the island, adding custom cabinets and quartz countertops, built a detached (matching) brick garage with a copper overhang to match the house, re-did all three full baths, added onto the house with a large matching brick office (adding significantly to the master closet in the process), as well as a larger than the norm screened in porch. She had square footage of the home incorrect, the finished percentage of the basement incorrect, and she indicated the neighborhood is between 25% and 75% built out (it is 100% built out and has been for many years). We think she was working with some old data from the previous listing that was put together 22 years ago when we bought the house and before we made our updates. If you read other Yelp reviews, there are some common themes as to their sloppy work. Further, reading CoreLogic employee reviews on other sites would suggest they don't pay well in terms of the base wage, with upside compensation tied to how many appraisals the employee completes - no wonder our second appraiser chose to do such a quick walkthru... read more

I feel that core logic is very negligent in how they do business. I feel I paid a fair price for my home appraisal but I feel they did a fast and inefficient job. They brought three comps In one of which was a house identical to mine but did not have solar extended patios front and rear and 500 square-foot of pavers. They listed it as the top house for 300,000. Then they comped two other homes in that were smaller then my house, my home is 1830 ft.² they Compton at 1700 to 1400 they both sold for less than 275 which comped my house at 265. That's where the negligence comes in they should have comped homes equal to my size and then they would've came up with a $300,000 appraisal. I believe they just did a fast insufficient job I would not recommend them to anybody. read more

I would give them less stars if I could. We are refinancing and the appraiser came to our house and took pictures of all 5 bedrooms 3.5 baths (all legal in our 5000+sf home) which he included in the report. He then listed us as a 4 BR 2.5 Bath house and compared it to other similar homes. He did not comp against ANY 5 BR homes. I live in Westchester County, NY where the market is booming because of everyone moving up from NYC during Covid. He priced the home at 65K LESS than we paid for it. Meanwhile, not one comparable home sold for that low on our street ever. Not sure how you make a mistake in counting to 5 (BR) when he took pics. Not only that but we had small propane tanks on the back deck next to our firepit so he must of thought that meant we had propane heat which he listed on the report. LOL. Who can heat a home with a 20Lb tank of propane? I tried to call the company and after one rep hags up on me, another supervisor says they don't have a customer service or complaints department. I would expect more for the price we paid. read more

Mark Tatreau with core logic was terrible. Came I to our home talked about how for sure our value of our home should be higher. Did not even Use homes not in our neighborhood. Missed writing half of our updates on our home on the report. read more

If I could give Corelogic negative one million stars, I would. This company has no standards for appraisals. I tried to buy a home and I used BOA as the lender. BOA used Corelogic and the appraiser came in way under the asking price. As the buyer, you would think this could be a good thing. Perhaps I could use the low appraisal to negotiate a lower price. Sounds good in theory. In reality, the appraisal was done in such a sloppy and lazy manner that it was totally inaccurate. I wouldn't insult the sellers intelligence with such garbage. Luckily, I got a new lender and a new appraisal and the second appraisal done only a few days later came in at asking price. BOA gave me a good deal but I can't use them thanks to Corelogic's near fraudulent appraisal. I researched both appraisal to compare how Corelogic could be so off. The Corelogic appraiser I had the misfortune of getting named Jesse used homes that sold 9 and 8 months ago instead of the many current comps within the last month he could have used. He compared homes that were basically never kept up "fixers" with homes that had a ton of upgrades. They are lazy and unethical. They follow no standards and no supervisor reviewed the crappy job by Jesse. Run if you get Corelogic. read more
