Really shady and unprofessional business they are running. Zero communication to seller when buyer ended up not having any of the money to even purchase the home. They played games all the way up to the last 48 hours to close then canceled without cause. Let myself think everything was moving forward and I had to spend money on inspections and boxing up 30% of the house. President of this company was quick to respond when I emailed asking who do I report a complaint to but then never decides to answer back or give even a simple apology on how this deal was handled. When my wife and I decided to sell our property in Tustin Ranch. After several RE Agent interviews, we chose Andrei Martinez. He is young, eager and very intelligent. We were aggressive in the price we were asking because we felt our house and the neighborhood was perfect for a young family. Andrei never wavered when we told them what we wanted to ask... if fact, he was very excited. The other agents we interviewed just wanted to go with a lower price to sell quickly. We dismissed them after hearing their plans. We had some challenges with the buyer, they were first time buyers so they thought everything should be perfect, but our house is 20yrs old (even though we remodeled 2x), not everything was perfect. Andrei never flinched, and got "things done"! He was extremely hands on and involved with every step we needed to take. I am a tenant in one of their listings. Along with the lack of respect for my personal property and belongings within the interior of my home they also have damaged my plants in front to display the seven gables sign. My personal experience thus far in knowing if this company and their representatives has been quite miserable and I'm quite saddened by the behavior. This does not demonstrate any professionalism in their part. If I could also give my landlord a zero rating I would as well but that's besides the point and a different conversation all together. My next course of action will setting up security cameras, making documentation of all this and filing complaints. Seven gables has too many agents to oversee and I the result is mismanagement and another unsatisfied person which In my case im sure I'm just considered collateral damage. read more

Before coming on yelp I tried to address my problem by contacting Seven Gables, Unfortunately they said this isn't their problem so I will take the issue I have on a review and on social media. I accidentally sent a $1000 through zelle to one of Saven Gables real state agent by the name of Katherine Brough. Bank of America try to contact her but she wouldn't answer the email she has been getting from them nor answers my calls. Eventually we got her attention by texting all the information we have on her and where she works. I also sent her a driver's license and the letter we received from the bank so she knows who sent the money. She keeps saying that we're calling her from a different number and it's scam. She said she will contact the bank the next day but all of the sudden I received a text at 3am saying she will never send back the money. As a multimillion company I would think you would hire someone who is trustworthy and truthful. She took someone's hard earned money and thought she can get away with it. Is this the type of person who represents Seven Gables ? I am so disappointed in her managers and general counsel. read more

Not only is she very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the industry, she is also patient and always a pleasure to work with. Miriam quickly responds to phone calls, emails and/or text messages, which is a must for me; having good communication is key! I was able to buy my rental property at the lowest price in the area, at the time; she then helped me find excellent renters. She knew all the steps to take and all the do's and don'ts, so I felt confident that there wouldn't be any mistakes in the process. BEWARE OF CINDY ILLINGWORTH!!!! Extremely unprofessional, shocked she is a real estate agent. I had met her for a walk through a few days ago and basically toured myself. It was bad right from the beginning. First it started with her not coming to the gate to let me into the complex.Tthen she had me drive back and forth to both gates SEVERAL times. I asked her where Should I park? She goes just go to the back.......ooook? There's no guest or visitor parking, I don't want to get towed so where do I park? I mean literally just parking and trying to actually meet her was about a 20 minute ordeal. Over the phone she kept saying, "oh ill text you when I'm on my way" never had a real estate agent say they'll text me and let me know. Already kind of weird. During the actual tour Cindy was very "checked out", unresponsive and all around uninformative. I literally walked myself through every room asking questions. She proceeded to tell me about how bad the previous tenants were and about holes their son punched in the walls yada yada. Real professional. Oh, but wait it gets better!! So despite all of the b.s. Of the tour my roomies and I had decided we still liked the place an figured we wouldn't be dealing with Cindy anyways because she is just the agent. So the next step is a credit check, get this... Cindy texts me at 9PM and says, "text me your debit card information" .....uhmm no?! Shocking. Never had an official real estate agent request bank account information over text. I insisted on paying in cash because I don't feel right freely giving out my account info. She goes, "well I'm not going to put it on my card and run up my account" ok well I can understand and appreciate that but I don't see why this is such an issue don't you have a business account? Mind you all three of us had to do a credit check which is standard, but when I met with her for a tour I requested physical applications so I could just give them to my room mates. She was like "ill email them to you and you email them back" she sent us all this wacky PDF file that you had to print out yourself, fill out, then scan and email it back. Total nightmare for 3 people to have to go through all that! Then there's the debit card dilemma **shaking my head**..... To ice the cake, I get a call from my father... Father? Why are you calling me for Cindy? She has my email and phone number, very odd but I guess she emailed my dad saying she filled the apartment. At this point I am livid because I had asked to meet the land lord and put a deposit down to hold the apartment while they finished our credit check which I already know will get approved because we all have great credit. CINDY ILLINGWORTH was by far the most unprofessional, inexperienced, and inconsiderate real estate agent I have experienced. Not only do I not care if the room ends up opening up I WOULD NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE RENTING ANYTHING CONNECTED THROUGH THAT WOMAN. RE: AJ Hoover & Mike Hickman, Sr. I made an offer on a home in Orange County (1429 E. Rose, Orange, CA). The listing agent, AJ Hoover, told me exactly what the other offer was ($700K) that the owner (LLC Strategic Acquisitions, Inc.) had countered. AJ told me what I would need to offer to get the property ($705k) including a shorter contingency period, which is exactly what I did. AJ said that he would contact us as soon as he heard from the other party. My realtor followed up with AJ the next morning at 10 am. AJ had not yet heard from other party as to whether or not they were going to strengthen their offer. He promised he would let us know as soon as he heard from them. We made it very clear that we would increase our offer if need be and that we wanted the home. AJ never got back to us and accepted the offer that matched mine on the spot. I feel the reason he did this was because he was trying to double-end the deal as he told me several times he thought he should represent me as well, even though I had a realtor. He has a fiduciary responsibility to look out for his client's best interests, which he did not do. We made it very clear we would do whatever we needed to do to get the property, and he assured us he would keep us posted. We also contacted the owner of Seven Gables, Mike Hickman, and made him aware. Mike promised me he would look into the time stamp on the documents and get back to me. He has NOT responded. AJ Hoover called my realtor and told him to tell me to, "stop it...stop calling Mike Hickman and the LLC." read more
