The food was good and plentiful. But I cannot stand when you show up at an establishment and to go orders take precedent. We were the only people at the place and four workers were making to go orders including the manager. About five minutes after we were standing there staring at them, one person said "we will be with you in a moment". The service was slow but they did give me extra vegetables I requested. I did have to ask about one ingredient they forgot to add. It's a good healthy option but service was a D-, there isn't much in Greensboro. read more

Gave this place a try and was disappointed. Ordered the ancient grains and greens. They forgot the grains part, so I end up paying $13 for a pile of kale, a few toppings, and a drink. The free bread was fairly good. I will give this place another try because I've heard good things. Another note: the location is awkward and hard to get in and out of the parking lot. read more

I've been sitting on this review because I don't want to be mean, but I have eaten here twice and both times I have not been impressed. My first order was a poke fire bowl and while it was pretty tasty, it was small and expensive and overall had way too much going on. (Maybe if they used only 1 sauce?) On the upside, it was actually spicy, which I respect. But I decided I wasn't going to eat there again simply because there are plenty of other places to get rice that are cheaper and yummier and have parking. HOWEVER! Another day I wanted soup and the only thing my lunchmates could settle on was CoreLife. Grudgingly, I ordered a "broth bowl" which to me sounded like their hip & crunchy raw take on pho, which I dearly love. And THIS IS NOT! IT IS NOT! IT'S NOT! It was like a hot, wet salad. It was like they had never planned on actually selling a broth bowl, so they panicked and just poured hot water on a kale salad. It had no flavor and was gross. Raw kale in hot water. Raw carrots. No flavor!? None?? Just none flavor??? I have never been so disappointed in a meal. This, after proudly declaring to a soup-hating friend that I LOVE ALL SOUPS and then I had to smile and crunch through this bowl of hot sadness or else look like a straight up liar. And again, it was not filling, and expensive. A way bigger, yummier bowl of soup, veggies, and noodles at pho hien vuong or binh minh would run me all of like $6. (Plus, they're local, family-run businesses and not a franchise.) Look, I know a lot of people love CoreLife and they seem to fall into one of 3 categories: 1. Allergic to foods 2. Vegan, or 3. ?????? sorta hungry and kinda rich ????? It's wonderful that there's a place that's accessible for people with allergies and restrictions, but for me, a normal food eater who likes reasonably priced, tasty, and filling lunches, CoreLife isn't worth it. There are dozens of other places I'd rather go for a more tasty, filling meal. TL;DR: This place is expensive and crowded and not even good??? read more

New favorite spot in Greensboro. I was nervous to try it because i was scared it would be bland "healthy" food but I was so wrong. The BBQ chicken bowl is my favorite and usually my go to. It's a little pricey for what it is but it's usually quick to grab and it's a healthier option than other take out. PS If you like pickled onion add it to the bbq bowl :) read more

While my Thai noodle Chicken salad was tasty, it hardly had any chicken on it. The chicken I got and my son on his build a bowl was only about 6 1/2 inch pieces. Fast fresh friendly! Being a plant based eater it's hard to find good food that's fresh and fast. Although I think the tofu could have been fresher. My Siracha tofu grain bowl was good. My hubs got the mediterranean and he says it was fresh and good. I ordered a small side of the tomato basil soup and didn't care for it at all. Yelp Elite had an event here a couple of months ago and I couldn't make it. Having eaten in a CoreLife in Grand Rapids a couple of years ago I was sorry I missed it. Patronizing a restaurant that supports Yelp, we went out of our way to drive to Greensboro. Got here right when they opened and they were quick to take our order. I like a heavy soup so the Thai coconut broth was a little light. I had the Thai salad and was very happy. If you like salads, this is a solid restaurant that give you quick healthy choices. read more

The first time I came here the staff was nice and courteous and the food was great. The second time I came my boyfriends soup was spilled all over his tray and no one thought to give him another bowl since half of it was soaked into the paper on the try. The girl at the cash register was a downright b*tch and had the audacity to act like we were inconveniencing her by trying to check out. The girl cutting the avocado said "I hate cutting avocados why do people order them so much" while staring at me and cutting my avocado. Really pretty great healthy option for grab fast style meals. They have ample seating and a very large restaurant space. Parking is a bit of a disaster as it is a tiny lot next to a main road. The customer service is very friendly but seemed a bit "out of it" and slightly "unfocused" each time I went. This may be because they are new and need more training. I'll certainly come back again and hope the employees can improve on their skills a bit. read more

A couple nights ago I stop in to get the Tuna Poke bowl for dinner. I was hoping it was good, as what my GF and I have had on the west coast. But they were out of tuna. I had to ask three times why before I was acknowledged, then I got a I don't know answer. Okay! Lets try a rice bowl only to hear we are out of that. This place is a much welcomed addition to the GSO food scene. It's fresh, affordable and healthy. The bowls are delicious and varied and I adore the lemonade/tea options. I would have given it 5 stars, but the parking situation is horrendous - it's nearly impossible to find a spot during the work day. Pro tip- order on their app in advance so it's ready to go for you when you get there. Just grab it from the to-go area near the lemonade, take a seat and enjoy! read more

Almost took a star away for serving my hot soup in toxic and polluting plastic, using the tired "Covid" excuse (as if dishwashing leaves germs) but it was delicious and I appreciated that it was gluten free and used real broth. But not coming back unless/until they offer ceramic washable bowls. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon, wait not too bad considering they just opened. Menu provides a little for everyone. I ordered the Southwest Salad with chicken..delicious. Staff was friendly. Very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was my granddaughter ordered the kids chicken soup. I tasted it. Blah!!!! Maybe that's their take on kids stuff but when I say don't order it, save your $$. Large portion on the salad, definitely bang for your buck. Quite a few fountain organic drink choices. I tried the lemonade and honey ginger low calorie lemonade which was quite refreshing. Customer service and quality of employees of this location has gone completely down the drain. I started coming here when the doors opened, being grateful that we had some healthy food in the area.The management is fairly aloof and definitely contributes to the overall poor attitude of the restaurant. While the food is good and healthy with cooked from scratch ingredients, dealing with young, entitled, unprofessional employees that seem like they don't want to be working is not worth any dish plus a 25 min drive. I have now had three incidents at that location that resulted in an employee talking to me and giving me facial expressions and body language as if we were in the street and not in a restaurant. I did respond the same way or raise the stakes, I could have done better and ignored, but I didn't. It's not that easy when the person is preparing your food and your usually hungry. Not in the mood for attitude as you come to support a restaurant. Unfortunately yelp will not allow the space to share what transpired during these three incidents. I sure tried. Will pass along to corperate to see if they will lend an ear or will they blindly stand behind the bad apples of the bunch. Time will tell, meanwhile they felt the need to have call the police so they could tell me not to return. Pretty weak guys. I guess these are the times that have arrived. read more
