Great music center! Friendly staff that is always willing to help you out. I was looking to…read morepurchase a cello fir my daughter but didn't want to spend thousands of dollars. The sales person (I forgot his name) took time to help me and find a cello that wasn't too expensive but also good quality. My daughter loves her cello! I never got a call back, and I decided to try once more where I finally got someone and booked a session. (Our other local music school was relocating farther from us, and my daughter really wanted lessons.) Our lessons were.. okay. They didn't always start promptly and they were usually in tiny, hot rooms big enough for one small folding chair (plus instrument and standing student with teacher). We tried it out for a couple months and it was not for us. When canceling, they assured me it would be okay, but of course they continued to charge us the following months. I called, and again no return messages. I called again, spoke to someone and they said James would call me back, but not a word since two weeks ago. I had to dispute the charges with my card, but save yourself the effort I went through and seek lessons elsewhere.

I love this place! Highly recommend for woodwind repairs, and also a great spot for accessories (so…read moremany reed options!) and for rentals, as well. Recently, I noticed some leaky pads on my saxophone. After bringing it to a different tech who said the sax was bowed (it was not...) and gave me an estimate of $500 to fix it (after charging $40 just for the consult...) I decided to stop at IHOMI for a second opinion. I am soo glad that I did. Jim and Melanie were both amazing. They were so friendly and patient, showing and explaining where the issues were and how they could be fixed. And even though I came during the busy season, at the end of summer, just before the start of school, they were able to squeeze in the repairs and had it back to me that same week, and all for a fraction of the cost that the other tech had quoted.

Every time we call, they're always great on the phone too. The outside does not look like much but there are so many precious music instruments inside for your choosing. I did not even know but you can rent out instruments! Ask about their program for kids who are learning instrument in school. Instruments from school is usually not the best. The store is very organized and staff is always there to answer questions. It is nice to have a music store close to home. It's inside a shopping plaza with plenty of spaces to park and places to eat as well.

One day while eating at Full Moon Sushi my son and I noticed a School of Rock in the same complex…read more We immediately went home, filled out an interest form and then attended an "Open House" the next weekend. From there we signed him up for: Weekly Private Lessons, a Weekly Performance Camp, and a Beatles Summer Camp. This place is awesome. Like, super awesome. Like, if I had a School of Rock in my neighborhood when I was growing up I'd be a Rockstar right now instead of sitting at home on a Saturday night writing Yelp reviews. From the Black, Red and White rock and roll color scheme, to the cool furniture and art, the dual Jam rooms that have full drumsets, guitars, Fender Amps, keyboards, basses, the drum rooms that each have two kits in them and all the lesson rooms - This place is a musicians dream. And it's made for kids!! They'll teach em as young as 7 and the owner and instructors are all extremely nice and wonderful with kids. I'm amazed that the Instructors can take these kids of various ages and skill levels and in a matter of hours have them playing killer versions of legendary classic rock tunes. I'd write down how much it is, but I can't remember! I think $75 a session? I'm auto-billed monthly and I'm happy to pay whatever it costs. I'm grateful that there's one of these nearby. Playing guitar is something that my son will be able to do for the rest of his life and he's progressing extremely fast thanks to this school. If you have a young one and want to get them into music, this is hands-down the best place to do it. Would definitely go out of my way for.

We enrolled him in Rock 101 on guitar because of his interest in music, lack of interest in sports, and our desire to get him involved in something that would force him out of his comfort zone. The results have been more than I could have asked for. We're approaching 2 years in, he's performed about 6 concerts now (each time feeling less and less anxious), and has developed a real skill. His private teacher Cameron is just awesome, and has provided our son with consistent, encouraging feedback. He's made our son comfortable in a way I didn't expect from this place. We signed up our younger son for drums, and he loves it as well. I highly encourage kids to sign up. It's free to try out and the monthly cost is worth every penny. Our kids are ages 6 and 9 and love it.

I like that he goes at my son's pace and doesn't rush him. My daughter took piano with Ms. T for a little while. She has a slight learning disability but Ms. T is very patient. The reason she's not taking lessons anymore is because I think my daughter is a little young (she's 6). Being 6 with a little learning disability, we decided to wait another year. We'll definitely ask for Ms. T again. Hopefully she will have an opening at the same time that my son has guitar lessons. We mamas always have to juggle with our kids' schedules. Edit to add: I just looked at the address and they've moved to Tustin (not sure the address, but near the Market Place). We're in SA, so it's slightly further but the pricing and teachers are worth it.

Ms. Thu is "really" patient and encouraging with my son in piano, and I especially see it while we've been doing home online piano lessons with her during the covid19 stay home orders. All the distance learning from his elementary school already takes a toll on him, and so he's been getting more frustrated with himself during online piano, which of course is not the same as being there in person. But Ms. Thu stays positive with him, nudges him enough to keep trying, but without scolding him or showing frustration towards him. I'm amazed at her teaching skills and patience. My son had also chosen to start guitar lessons with Steve a few weeks prior to the stay home order, and Steve is so good working with kids.
