I have used Cornetta Bros for over 22+ yrs. We used them for every plumbing job in our home. From…read morethe boiler to faucet replacement. We were always treated fairly. We also recommended them to everyone I knew that needed a plumber. We recently called for service & were surprised to find that that a bigger plumping conglomerate acquired them. The calls get rerouted to Rochester NY. The crew were all new service men & the bill was way over priced. Buyer beware..........

Speaking with one of the office staff, she positively assured me that Joe Cornetta would contact me to visit my home and access the plumbing issues. Upon arrival in two days, Joe inspected the work to be done and explained that another permit would need to be filed with the TOH and he would get back to me with an estimate. Within days, Joe provided a clear and precise estimate of the work to be completed with the additional TOH costs for the permit and inspection and that Joe would personally be present for the TOH inspection. after signing the agreement, we scheduled a date for the job to be completed. Steven, the crew chief along with two other technicians began the work promptly at 8am as scheduled, covering floors and appliances that were close to the actual area. Within minutes, the crew began to renovate the plumbing issues to TOH code. Observing the team, they reminded me of as NASCAR pit crew, very fast, precise and obviously seasoned experts. By midday, the crew was finished and spotlessly cleaned the area. Joe had assured me that the work was compliant to current TOH code. Sometime later ( Architectural drawing and TOH delays) an inspection was scheduled with Joe leading the inspector through the work completed. The work was approved and a Certificate of Completion was issued, Throughout the entire process, Joe, the office and the crew certainly were certainly a breath of fresh air. Their efforts, communication and completed work was nothing short of exemplary and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone would a plumbing issue.

They asked if it was an emergency. I didn't say it was an emergency but said I would like someone to come that day, so I would at least know if I needed to get the hot water heater replaced. When they called me back about 45 minutes later, I asked if they could tell me how much it might be. They said they couldn't give an estimate until they see the problem. The plumber showed up to the house about 4 hours later, relit the pilot on the hot water heater, and said if it wasn't a Saturday night, he'd try to repair it. All in all, he spent about 10 minutes at the house (I have the doorbell camera videos to prove it). A few days later, I received an invoice for $270, saying they responded to an emergency call for no hot water. When I called to ask why it was so much, since he was only at the house for 10 minutes and didn't actually repair anything, they said it was because they came on a Saturday.... So try to avoid these guys. They list themselves as being open on the weekends, don't tell you that it costs extra for them to come on the weekend, and then bill you as if they actually did work to fix something. (I should also mention that the hot water heater stopped working by Tuesday morning - less than 3 days later.)

1 star. This company put my family in real danger, and the road to get here was its own ordeal…read more My original cooktop was fully working -- this was a voluntary upgrade, nothing was broken. This company's installer removed it to put in the new one, only to then discover the new unit was defective. I was left with no cooktop or stove for weeks while it got sorted out. I had already paid them for installation and for a required gas leak inspection, and for the permit -- which they pulled but never once gave me a copy of, despite me paying for it. Months later, the replacement cooktop was finally installed, after this second installation alone was delayed five separate times. No proper post-installation gas leak check was done. Two days later, my family came home from a weekend away to a house full of the smell of gas. We called National Grid. Technicians spent three hours checking the cooktop and all gas lines and confirmed a strong leak coming directly from this company's installation. My wife and I, with our 3-year-old and 9-year-old, had to wait outside in the car until midnight. National Grid shut off our gas line and confirmed the leak had been running undetected for three full days -- which will now show up on our bill. This is the second defective installation in a row from this company, and the second time our safety was put at risk because a basic step was skipped. We are lucky no one was hurt. Between the missing paperwork, the repeated delays, and now a gas leak that could have killed my family, I would think twice before trusting this company with any gas work.
