I love Core PT! I have been going there for about 4 weeks to treat an injured shoulder. Randii (I hope I spelled that right) is a fantastic PT and truly knows her stuff. We do exercises together to strengthen the muscles around my shoulder joint but she never pushes me beyond the point of the first sign of discomfort and my PT always ends with a short muscle rub, ice and the tens unit. Most importantly, I'm send home with easy to do, yet beneficial shoulder exercises. I'm grateful for everyone who works at Core, but particularly, Randii. I highly recommend them if you have an injury. read more

I want to start off by saying that the actual care I received during PT sessions was really good. Dana was very kind and knowledgeable. She helped me a lot and gave me great tips and exercises to do at home. My issue is with the billing, which I believe goes through WebPT. I sent regular payments both through their payment portal and through online bill pay at my bank. The online bill pay payments (which were sent as early as January) were never applied, so my account was showing as having an outstanding balance. I called their bill pay line and spoke to Jen, who asked me to send over my proof of payments via email to her. I emailed them and waited over a week for a reply. I didn't receive one, so I replied again. After another 3 weeks of waiting, I still didn't receive a response and had received another notice in the mail saying I had an outstanding balance. Yesterday I also received an automated phone call saying I had an outstanding balance. This morning I called the billing number again and the automated system said I have a $0 balance (despite the call yesterday saying I had an outstanding balance). I asked to speak to a representative and was connected to Kim. I explained my situation and she said I have a $0 balance, and that the payments had been applied recently. I asked her to send me a receipt or updated statement showing the zero balance. She did send it right over, so I now finally have proof that my payments were processed. While Dana and Kim were very helpful, the rest of my experience with Core Physical and WebPT was frankly, unacceptable. read more

My experience with Dana was great. I made steady progress and am completely recovered. I especially appreciated all her great advice for overcoming obstacles I encountered in daily living. Everyone there was nice and I would recommend this physical therapy practice. read more

My 500th Yelp post (6/5/16)!!! My previous experiences with physical therapy were associated with UW Medical Center, UW Sports Medicine, Pacific Medical Center-Northgate, Northwest Hospital, and Greenwood PT. So initially I was a bit skeptical to be referred to Shoreline Physical Therapy (Core Physical Therapy) up by the Shoreline - Edmonds city limits. But I knew my sports medicine physician wanted to give me the convenience of a location proximate to both home and work. I wanted my mobility back, so best to give it a try. My first appointment was back in mid April, I had to come a bit earlier to complete several forms, deal with the copay, and then was thoroughly evaluated by Dustin Steffan, DPT. I appreciate the emailed appointment reminders and the helpful front desk staff during check-ins. These are big plusses when you have a hectic work schedule. They also have other staff members that work in tandem, so your sessions are focused and have continuity. My only negative experience was with some massage therapist who was a bit brusque when I was trying to change in one of the rooms, coming straight from work and dealing with the joys of I-5 traffic.Thankfully, a PT session/workout for me is stress reduction. Key thing was the direct and ongoing dialogue of what activities I wanted to return to, the requisite exercises, proper form, icing/taping/massage routine, and explanations of the actual physiology of my specific case. This wasn't going to magically happen, actual dedicated work was required to meet my goals. It was also good to see other individuals at this site make progress from their medical issues, like post-op knee replacement. Their location has a variety of equipment onsite that are utilized based on your specific needs. Staff also provide support items and printouts to use at home in between appointments. This coming week will be my ninth and tenth appointments and I can say that I have made significant progress. Not 100% there yet, but I've been able to build up core strength, reduce swelling, improve pain management, and regain increased flexibility. Earlier this morning I completed the Susan G Komen 5K, a personal best, after years of various challenges. To reach that accomplishment, I have to thank Dustin and his colleagues at Shoreline Physical Therapy for helping me attain that milestone. read more

This one star review is not due to the therapy itself, which was fine, though it turned out it would not fix the underlying issue. Rather, it is regarding their unethical billing practices. They overcharged so much through my insurance for standard PT appointments that even after my insurance covered roughly fifty percent I was still billed for MORE than if I would have just paid for the appointments out of pocket without insurance. They also made no communication regarding this or the reason for it and when I called their billing service they had no answers and were of no help at all. Do not support this business. read more

I really like the care I received at Core Physical Therapy in Shoreline. I've been treated at a number Physical Therapy clinics over the years, and I like the personalized approach used by physical therapist Randy Schmidt at Core. He and his team went out of their way to address not just the primary reason I was there, but also the related issues brought on by my primary injury. They are efficient, too; I never waited more than one or two minutes for my eight appointments at their clinic. read more

I had a good experience here overall, and was able to get in promptly, which I could not do at some other high-ranked PT places. I went in March 2016, shortly after the name was changed to Core PT, part of a rapidly growing chain. Unfortunately, I learned how they can afford to grow quickly: when I realized that I was being billed two $125 "units" for each 50-60 minute visit, I stopped going immediately. Good therapist or not, I've never heard of paying $250 an hour for PT. Be very careful if you don't have complete coverage or large co-pays! read more

While the physical therapist was excellent, the receptionist was horrible ( very poor customer service). I will be going elsewhere.

I received a great massage from Shannon at this place. She had great technique and pressure for my back and shoulders. She also suggested some stretches to do at home. The music, lighting and the attention she gave her hands created a comfortable, relaxing ambiance. I left feeling great! read more

Terrible customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called to schedule an appointment at this clinic. I wanted to go to this clinic because the location and hours were perfect for what I was looking for. I called and they weren't able to get me in for three weeks but assured me it would be worth it. I agreed to wait and so I went on my way. They told me to arrive at 5:40 pm for a 6:00 pm appointment. At 5:25 they called me to tell me the therapist was going to have to reschedule me. I wasn't happy, but things happen and I can understand that. What I cannot understand is why the girl at the front desk, Caitlin, would only off me appointments during my work hours. I clearly explained (again, and again) that wouldn't work for me. Her answer was "oh well". That didn't go over well with me. I asked to speak to management, and then she placed me on hold. Five minutes later a woman named Jessica came on the phone as "management". I tried to explain the situation and the entire time she was saying "mhmmm" and "ohh I see" over me - clearly not listening. I asked her to stop interrupting me so that we could move on a hopefully get me rescheduled. She then told me that she wouldn't accommodate a reschedule for another two weeks and if I didn't like it I could go elsewhere. Wow, rude. I was called 15 minutes prior to the time of arrival and told to go somewhere else if I didn't like their options. I was actually happy to take that reschedule I just thought it was so rude. I didn't feel I was talking to management b/c Jessica kept laughing and giggling every time I said something so I asked and only then did she let me know she was just another front desk receptionist. If there wasn't a manager available I would have waited for a call back, I do not appreciate the run around. When I asked her to stop laughing at me she told me she was going to hangup the phone and someone would call me later. Five minutes later Chris, the manager, called me back. I was happy to hear from him so soon and wanted to explain how I felt uncomfortable with how the receptionist were talking to me and how they were so unwilling to help reschedule me. Chris told me that he doesn't believe the receptionists would act like that. So I said okay - and tried to end the telephone call but he cut me off and told me it wasn't going to work out and hung up on me. Not worth the time or money. read more

Amazingingly Incompetent. Lost records, they didnt know I had spent a year there doing PT, called to autherize service and they still had not sine the autherizations. Arrived for my appointments sounded like a Vegas nightclub, and the counter help was about as professional. Go somewhere else. read more
