Corban University is an excellent school that firmly upholds biblical standards as well as provides an exceptional education. It focuses on real-life skills required for after college and has one of the highest post-graduation job placement rates. Unfortunately, Corban has been branded as a "hate group" by secular culture. This can't be farther from the truth. While Corban does uphold the biblical standard of marriage by openly disagreeing with LGBT relationships and behaviors, Corban does this with a loving spirit and with a willingness to discuss. I can't speak for every student, but anytime I had a theological issue, I set up a meeting and got answers. You might not agree with Corban, and that's fine, but Corban has a right to uphold these biblical standards as a private Christian organization. Again I will repeat, Corban is an excellent school and a great place to receive higher education. read more

Corban University receives federal tax dollars in aid while unabashedly discriminating against the LGBTQ community. They promote and provide "gay conversion therapy", do not protect LGBTQ students from harassment, prohibit same-sex relationships, and prohibit transgender students from identifying with their preferred gender. Freedom of religion does not include using taxpayer dollars to promote an oppressive, regressive agenda under the guise of "education". Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is an equal rights law that applies to all schools receiving federal funding, stating they cannot discriminate. Corban should be non-discriminatory or else be funding their hate themselves. read more

Wonderful community university serving the daily major needs of Salem citizens. Serving in the local social, prison, medical, law, local government, sports, mental health and meeting spiritual needs in a very loving and effective manner for years earning the respect of many throughout the Northwest and around the world. I am an alumni and proud of graduating from this awesome university! The timeless traditions which have made Corban unique are unfairly characterized by those only seeking their personal self interests... desiring to eliminate such universities which have made helped shaped America's ethical, social, economic and moral conscious. I am a Freshman at Corban University, and this place is amazing! The community is unlike anything I've ever seen, people from across the world coming together. I am taking a few business classes and all the professors are fantastic! There is a nice little hiking train behind Corban, walkout and see the stars, or look for wild life. Pear Trees with fruit ripe for the picking. All of the RAs are great people. The dorms are a little small, but very cozy. Now is it worth the 20k, I think so. Hope this helps some of y'all.
