5 Stars - A Fantastic Paint Class Experience with We Make Art at the Grand Theater! I had such a great time taking a paint class with We Make Art at the beautiful Grand Theater! The setting was inspiring, and the whole experience was incredibly well organized. The instructor, Mrs. B from We Make Art, was fantastic -- so friendly, encouraging, and clearly passionate about teaching. She made the class fun and easy to follow, even for someone like me who doesn't paint often. To my surprise, my painting turned out great! I left feeling proud of what I created and totally energized. This was the perfect way to spend an evening -- creative, relaxing, and just plain fun. Claudia and the rest of the We Make Art instructors bring Sunshine into my life. I have taken so many of their classes and always have a delightful time. I've met some wonderful new people while I've also created some pieces of art that actually aren't awful! From paint your pet parties which I have had the pleasure of hosting, to alcohol ink painting and abstract art painting and other fabulous crafts, they have something for everyone at every level. I've even brought along my adult sons to a few and they too have had a blast :-) great personalities incredibly well trained and professional instructors, and a really really good time. I recently participated in an Alcohol Ink Workshop with Claudia. Something that has been on my list a long time! She's a great instructor, personable kind and funny. She sat down and explained some technique personally to me toward the end which I appreciated. She worked with another group of women to book an art event for them. I can tell she appreciates the customers and the art! I would like to specifically give a shout out that she is not a gatekeeper of her knowledge which is so appreciated! (People who won't tell you what to buy or where they can get a specific thing). It can be hard to find someone willing to share! read more

My 14 year old artist-child and I did the alcohol ink mini planter class together. Claudia walked us through each step with thoughtful accuracy. I especially appreciate the way she makes the skills she's honed as a professional over the years accessible to her students. There is no gate keeping in the class culture she cultivates, just a lot of encouragement, collaboration, and creativity. This is absolutely the best adult hobby to get into either once a month at your local bar or follow classes for more opportunities to branch out not only socially but artistically as well. All classes are different subjects, so there's always something new to learn and experiment what you've learned in prior lessons! Brilliant! I have loved every single art class that I have taken with Claudia. She always has a wide variety to choose from. I have done couples paintings with my husband, paint your pet, alcohol ink class, mom & kid paintings, and many individual canvas paintings with friends. I highly recommend WMA. I'm not the greatest painter, and I was a little worried about how my painting would turn out. Ms.Claudia reassured me that anyone can paint and gave me some great advice and instructions to make my painting look amazing. The classes are always filled with laughter when Ms.B is teaching.
