This is my second review of thois fine little mexican restaurant. We have been there 5 times already. Once for lunch , drinks twice and dinner twice. Service has been excellent except for ine night when it rained and a number of local events got cancelled. The place was packed and they were very short staffed. They did supply free empanadas to table that were waiting for too long. Drinks are excellent and sereved in lovely authentic glassware. The chips are stoopidly good. They are rounds of chips with salsa and an avocado crema. Nothing is overle spicy but there is some background heat. lunch options are a bit more standard with some combination plates but every thing is properly prepared and tastes just between good and really good. The mole is rich and deeply flavored the salsa over the enchiladas is textbook and silky. The shrimp tacos were full of shrimp and spicy without overkill. A lovely plate. Cannot recommend this more. Have you ever gotten a dish that had a lot of it? Do you have it pictured? Now double it. That was the size of my stir fried rice dish I got with lots of chicken steak shrimp and veggies thrown in for good measure. It was enormous. Enough to feed five people (or days of leftovers). And it was so good! Better than a lot of Asian fried rices I've gotten. Beyond big portions we had terrific margaritas and great queso too. Friendly service and it's a cozy inside. A nice find in a section of town (near Tulmeadow) that you have to make an effort to go to. It's worth the effort. read more

We shared empanadas with ground beef for an appetizer. They were delicious! Our main courses provided very generous servings. I had the steak fajitas which were very good. My husband had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce which he enjoyed very much. Our served was Juan who was excellent; attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable! We will go again!! read more

The food and service was amazing! Right off the bat the homemade sauces served with the tostones were delicious. The margaritas served with a fresh flower added to the charm of the restaurant. Shrimp fajitas served with hand made tortillas, were not only delicious the portions were enough to enjoy another day. read more

"At first I couldn't find the words to say How much you've changed me in every way I just want to thank you each and every day Te amo, corazón" (Prince) This space in the little plaza on Farms Village Road has been a revolving door over the years. Manny's Pizza was there for a long while and had some of the greatest COVID family meal deals on the planet. After Manny's left, they were followed in quick succession by two short-timers, namely Ana's Kitchen and the Level Up Restaurant. Now, a newcomer has entered the chat -let's say hello to Corazon Tequilero. We checked them out for lunch yesterday. Walking in, our first reaction was how great the place looked! From the neon logo at the entry to the beautiful artwork on the wall space to the new floor planks to the brown and beige furniture- the place is gorgeous and a real step up in class up from the old interior we remember from their predecessors. Our server, Amy, was wonderful! She greeted us warmly and brought over complimentary chips and salsa that was somewhat different from the usual chips and salsa. First of all, the chips were five fried corn tortillas that we broke into bite sized pieces to dip into TWO choices -a salsa and a mildly spiced avocado crema. We started off splitting an order of Esquites as an appetizer. It was sort of a riff on Elote corn, with a dish of Taijin (Mexican spice mix consisting predominantly of lime, chili peppers and salt) spiced corn kernels mixed with Cotija cheese and mayo. It was decadently delicious, and we devoured every last morsel. Our lunch was chicken quesadillas ($12.99) and Camarones a la Diabla ($17.99). The quesadilla's four large pieces was filled with chicken and Monterrey Jack cheese, served with a small lettuce salad topped with scoops of guacamole and sour cream. The quesadillas were topped with a dusting of Cotija and served on a heart shaped plate for an Instagram worthy photo. My Shrimp Diabla was delicious! It was a big combination plate of spicy shrimp with mushrooms, plus rice and beans. I may have had spicier Shrimp Diablos here and there, but the flavor here was wonderful. And as a bonus, it was served with a single tortilla chip piled high with a scoop of guacamole. Both dishes were large enough that half of each came home for dinner in a few days. So, we will end up with four servings for our $45 lunch, and I call that a great value of quality, quantity, service, and any other metric you care to consider. We loved our meal. PRO TIP There is live mariachi music on Thursday nights. You are welcome. read more

The food here is closer to traditional Mexican than Tex-Mex. I found it high quality and very tasty, if different to what I usually get. It's also worth noting that instead of the traditional chips and salsa, they gave tostadas (a 3"-4" whole corn tortilla that is fried or baked until crisp that you break pieces off of) paired with two different dips. One was sort of a salsa and the other was an avocado based dip of some kind. I found them good and a nice change but to be honest I prefer the chips and salsa more often found in Tex-Mex. I also found the staff to be incredibly friendly. I originally was going to give three stars but it felt too low so I rounded up on them even if four feels a bit high. I was glad I went although I don't think I'll return. I prefer Tex-Mex and the prices here are a bit high. In fairness though the prices all around that area are high so they are in line with the location. read more

My wife and I went in a bit late (8:15) last night and there was only one other table finishing up. As a former server, I hate going in on the later side on a Sunday no less but we;d been moving all day and were STARVING. I'd heard good things about the place and they were ALL TRUE. Our host, Tony was super friendly and welcomed us right in, got us 2 Herradura margaritas with the quickness (ask for the Taijin rim!) and we were off to the races! He brought over some tostadas and salsas with some other really great hot sauce! We shared the beef empanada app and it was so flavorful! Perfect! We then shared the Birria Tacos and the Tijuana Burrito with carnitas. ALL perfect. So great and just what we needed! I wish we had gotten there early to hang but we crushed the food quick and got on our way. Tony did not rush us at all, the vibe in there is so nice. We'll be back!!! read more

Best Mexican food ever. Very authentic everything is home made. from the chips to the homemade salsa.

Recently checked out this spot and it really impressed me. The space is beautiful and has such a great vibe. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food was so fresh and flavorful. I heard they also have live mariachi entertainment, which wasn't happening while I was there, but I'd definitely go back to check it out. A great new addition to the area! read more

Went there tonight with friends. When we finally had someone take our drink orders it took well over twenty minutes to get our drinks. Our appetizers finally arrived thirty minutes later. Food was good but the service was awful. Server told us they were having a "bad day" and the internet was down. Have no idea what that had to do with our poor service. My suggestion.......have enough employees to do the job or close the doors. Horrible service. read more

Food And service was perfect!. Nicely done authentic decor too. Great location in West Simsbury with plenty of parking

The food and service were great. The homemade tortillas were delicious. The birthday dessert, churros and ice cream was amazing.

The food is fantastic. Thursday nights there is a mariachi band and they are very entertaining. You will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is an excellent addition to the area. Mexican food can't be served lukewarm - 3 out of 4 entrees on a slow night. Margarita costing over $15 should be bigger than 8oz imo. read more

Wonderful! Recently soft opened in the space that used to be Ana's Kitchen. We went last night (a Friday) near 8pm. First good sign, we needed to wait a bit for 2 spots at the bar. Second good sign-the bar tender/manager was funny, attentive to customers and to ensuring that the staff was doing what they needed to be doing. Last and most importantly, the food was fantastic. It was not the pre-cooked, ready in 5 minutes after you order stuff. My Tacos Burrria were fresh hot with terrific tortillas (I learned later that they were freshly made by an Aunt of the owner). Drinks were made by eye at the bar, good pours and the staff were friendly. Great addition to the town. read more

Very nice. Friendly staff and accommodating. Clean restaurant with two rooms and bar seating. Lunch menu offered smaller offerings and we requested the regular dinner, which we ordered from. Delicious! The chips and salsa were different from other Mexican restaurants. The chips were crispy tortillas and served with guacamole and salsa dips. I enjoyed my burrito served with a salad. Churros were yummy and served with chocolate sauce. We would definitely go back. read more

Food was very fresh. Well prepared. Good value for the $. The service was very good and I would recommend this restaurant.

Great food! We drove an hour to try this place and it was so worth it. Very fresh food. Great service and clean ambiance. We really weigh the quality of Mexican food by the salsa. This one passed the test! Fresh ingredients with cilantro and onion. They also offer a green cream type salsa as well which we ordered extra of. All in all- if you're looking for a great Mexican type meal we recommend taking the drive. You won't be disappointed and your tummy will be quite happy! read more

Our Simsbury Newcomers and Neighbors ladies lunch bunch had our November lunch at Corazon Tequilero today. It was great. They couldn't have been easier to work with, friendlier and more accommodating. The food was great, service good and everyone seemed to like it. Even had several comments that they didn't normally like Mexican food but, "this was really good. I highly recommend you give them a try. Thank you Amy and Javier and your staff. We'll be back. As somebody who lived in Southern California I'm confident saying that for NE, this is next level Mexican food! The service was excellent and everybody was super friendly. Had the best ever mezcal old fashioned and my daughters Margarita was excellent. The decor is warm, comfortable and authentic. Strongly recommend! read more

The food was OK and the prices are reasonable. They started us off with three flat corn tortillas and two small cups of salsa. They were crisp and tasty, but when I asked for a few more while waiting for the main course, we were told that there would be an additional charge. I ordered chicken fajitas which had lots of onions and peppers, but less chicken than I'm used to receiving at other Mexican establishments. Unfortunately, we had to wait well over half an hour from the time we ordered until we were served. (When we finally asked the host what was going on, it turned out that our order had not been submitted to the kitchen!) Not sure if we'll be going back. read more
