What I like about this Clinic is that it is very personal. At other clinics I had the experience of having four or five different people work on my therapy within any given visit. I dreaded my visits there. Here I am assigned one person that stays with me the entire time. This is the way it should be. When being assigned to the same therapist for the entire appointment, they get to know you better, what you need to work on and how they can help you best. This is a nice clinic, conveniently located on Argyle Forest. They have a large rehab area with various types of rehabilitation equipment to meet your needs. You can park right in front of this clinic and there is always parking availability. The therapists are very friendly - I enjoy this! They care for you, and they make sure that you are feeling comfortable with your therapy. If you ask questions, they will answer the questions. They will have questions for you as well..so that they can provide the best services. Instead of dreading your clinic time in physical therapy each visit, you actually will look forward to it because it is a happy, positive environment! The front office staff is top-notch with smiles to greet you, and whole staff is professional in demeanor. I came here for aquatic physical therapy every week for several months for my back problems. It…read morewas our last resort before I had to start having shots every couple of months in my spine. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I did have to resort to the shots, but I did have a good experience here. The physical therapists are just wonderful. They are very kind and understanding. They would push me, but they never pushed too far. They seemed to know my limits even better than I did. I guess that's why they are physical therapists and I'm not. :D It's a very large physical therapy center. Even though this one was a good distance away, there are not very many centers in jacksonville that offer the aquatic physical therapy. The pool is located inside and it is heated. It's more like an above the ground pool. For those who can't make it up and down the stairs, they have a chair for the patient to sit in which raises up and lowers the person into the pool... it then does the opposite to remove the person from the pool. The front desk people are wonderful also. They are great at working with your schedule to make appointments. They did a great job at filing my insurance for me too. If you're in need of aquatic physical therapy or other types of physical therapy, I highly recommend Heartland.

The program took about two months and I improved so much I was released on Friday June 8. I can't say enough for the staff and therapist at this facility. All were very professional, friendly and certainly knowledgeable . The Therapist Ashley, PT DPT was extremely patience and worked with me throughout the sessions in a VERY professional manner. I believe this type of work requires special employees which I found at the Center. I might add I have had Therapy throughout Brooks and haven't had a bad experience yet. VERY CARING. I believe the therapy has made a noticeable difference, and I genuinely feel like I'm making progress. Anita is an excellent occupational therapist. She listens carefully, welcomes feedback, and adjusts treatment based on how I'm responding. I never feel rushed, and it's clear she cares about providing quality care. The front office staff has also been outstanding. They're friendly, professional, and always make scheduling or rescheduling appointments quick and easy. Brooks Rehabilitation has the long standing reputation for being the best place for Physical…read moretherapy - bar none. Each location is staffed with multiple doctors who specialize in various aspects of PT. This location specializes in sports injuries. Being located with the YMCA is sweet. They encourage one to follow up with a healthy lifestyle. They also share a small headed, indoor pool for aquatic physical therapy. Which is the bomb for us in LOTS of pain. They even offer a free month membership to the YMCA after one is healed. And the YMCA has a sliding monthly payment for us poor folks. One can even apply for financial assistance for an even lower monthly membership. The pool and locker room are terrific. One might as well enjoy themselves as they recover from an injury.

Everything runs like clockwork, however I do find I am not always brought back start on time. It's usually about a 5 minute delay. The staff are usually multi tasking, which is fine by me. I don't need someone over me. My therapist and I work well together. He's very nice and intuitive the exercises or stretches I need. They share the facility with YMCA. I don't use the equipment within Brooks. I use the pool. It's getting remodeled Mid-Sept 2018, so hopefully that will look good. However, it's not Brooka so it doesn't effect this rating.

I have curvature in my spine and a desk job, which has the unfortunate result of messing with the spot where one of my ribs connects to my spine. When it's out of place, and my muscles spasm to compensate, it can hurt to breathe. I have been able to get in to Dr Railing same day when I've needed it, and he takes a really pragmatic approach. I've never had him suggest dozens of visits as other chiropractors have, which is great because it's hard to make time for every one I do really need. The office staff are kind, too.

He is person that take time to explain and very accurate and sincere about his work. I was in so much pain with my ankle and nerve pain also. When I arrive and by the time I left I can tell you I did not leave in severe pain. It was more like less pain than I was in several month.
