Something felt off with the total so I reviewed my receipt immediately upon exiting the store and I caught the error. I immediately went back in and showed the cashier my receipt and the price tag on the item and requested I be charged what was marked on the price tag. The cashier went and checked with someone in the back whom I assume was a manager of sorts. I was told that the prices were put on earlier today and that the "new" employee must have marked it wrong so they would not honor the price tag. I am so confused and shocked. I cannot believe a company would pass along their admitted error to the consumer? Not to mention, a violation of the weights and measurements regulations in PA, and throwing their new employee under the bus to boot? Terrible, short-sighted business practice. I am local to Bryn Mawr with 4 young children, and this was my go to for children's gifts for all occasions. I will never shop here again.

She became very distraught and angry Stated that she had told me to call back in 30 minutes because it would take a long time for them to prepare the house. She said that they would need to dismantle the display and it would not be ready until tonight. I told her I'd driven 40 minutes just to pick up the house and I would actually help her dismantle everything from insideif it would allow for me to get it sooner. By the way, there was only a few toys and pluses in the house. The picture is provided for everyone to see that it would only take 3 minutes to remove the items from inside! She then told me that she was very busy and I needed to calm down because she is verybusy and understaffed, and that she needs to check out everyone else in line first and I needed to step aside. She replies in a very mad way I told you to call back in 30 minutes!!!!! I reminded her kindly that she asked me to call back For the price, and I headed over because the price did not matter. I was embarrassed and humiliated, I then decided to walk away and let her check out all the other people in line. When she had done that, I came back to tell her I would help her dismantle the area for the house and I wanted to see what she could do for me. She was clearly walking past me ignoring me for a while and then she came and told me "now do you see what I just said,when we are extremely busy! She was so angry with us. I mentioned to her that she should calm down and that I would help her. Her attitude was so extremely disrespectful and aggressive and demeaning towards me. I don't even know why I bought the house, really just because I wanted to make sure I had everything assembled for Christmas for my kids. She then charged me more than what it cost to purchase the item Yes online, and the item is also marked in many areas and has some damage. I did not even complain about that. My biggest complaint is the way she treated me. It was absolutely disgusting. I work in an extremely stressful environment on a daily basis, and I have never ever talked to a single soul in this way EVER. I have spent thousands of dollars at your store, but I will never come back. I hope that everyone reads this and sees that they do not deserve to be treated this way.. They also have regular events and I was told Ginger Spice will be there in April to promote her kids book. While there were other employees already working the register, Nicholas specifically stepped in front of an African American employee in a way that felt unnecessary, intimidating, and deeply uncomfortable. He appeared to closely monitor and double-check transactions involving African American customers, as though he assumed wrongdoing or theft without cause. At one point, Nicholas even opened the cash register drawer while his coworker was actively ringing up items, seemingly to verify his work in a manner that came across as distrustful and humiliating. His actions created a tense and uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff. From what I witnessed Nicholas behavior felt targeted and racially motivated, making it seem as though he was unfairly scrutinizing his coworker because of his race. This kind of conduct is unacceptable in any workplace and reflets poorly on your business, I strongly encourage management to address this situation seriously, as no employee or customer should be made to feel discriminated against or uncomfortable because of racial bias.
