Then when I looked at some tee shirts, before I even started to look for a size he asked, what size are you looking for so I can pull it out, as to not mess up the folding?? I'm a grown adult and would not just yank out clothes and not pull them out and leave them. I don't know if this is every day attitude but If you're manager, the company needs to reevaluate your skills or demote you.

The store itself is small, well-stocked, and nicely displayed. There were about six customers inside, but only one employee at the register and possibly one in the back. When I was ready to check out, I was told to wait and ended up being helped last after all other customers had left. I did find the shoes I wanted, so mission accomplished but while the selection is great, the customer service could definitely be improved.

I walked into this little, crowded shop after stumbling onto the quaint oasis of Espanola Way located right in the middle of the craziness South Beach. More of that in a different review. The floor here was strewn with shoeboxes that were simply and sloppily stacked in the middle of the store. I maneuvered around them and found some cute, unique, and comfortable looking shoes. As I spoke with the two friendly gentlemen at the store, I became more comfortable. They told me about how and where the shoes were hand made. Luckily they had my size in the cutest, most comfortable shoes I have bought in years. I asked how much and when the owner said $50 I didn't even blink. Hey, I'm on vacation and I thought the shoes were worth $50. Only to look back later at the picture I had taken of the storefront and the sign that read "Store moving. Everything must go. All shoes $49 or less." So basically this "really nice guy" ripped me off. Bummer! I also found out that everything in South Beach is negotiable. Basically you offer half of what they are asking and then go back and forth until you aren't paying $50 for a pair of shoes. Why couldn't someone have told me this BEFORE I went out shopping!!? Argh. So, I liked the shoe's comfort and style, the owner is pretty cool, just remember to bargain for a good price!

Juan also told me that if I bring a fabric or a dress and want to have matching shoes, they'll make them for me. Their website www.sobeunique.com doesn't do the variety of shoes justice.

I've been coming here since the days when Howard Austin Feld had his shop here, when you could still park on the street and the crowd felt more local than curated. Back then, it was quirky galleries, mom-and-pop shops, and artists setting up easels by the fountains. History matters here. Originally designed in the 1910s by Carl Fisher (the same guy who basically invented Miami Beach), it was later reimagined in the 1950s by Morris Lapidus, the legendary architect behind the Fontainebleau. He turned Lincoln Road into a pedestrian mall--a radical idea at the time--that gave Miami Beach its own open-air Broadway. For decades, it was where retirees fed pigeons, musicians played for tips, and snowbirds people-watched under the palms. Today? It's glossier. Trendy flagship stores, outdoor cafés charging $9 for a latte, and enough selfie sticks to arm a small militia. The pigeons have been replaced by pickup artists--guys working the crowd like it's spring break year-round, angling for phone numbers from beautiful women in sundresses. Depending on your vibe, it's either comedy gold or background noise. But here's the truth: Lincoln Road is still Lincoln Road. The fountains still splash, the architecture still hums with mid-century glamour, and the people-watching is world-class. From models strutting past with shopping bags to a family of tourists melting under the Miami sun, this strip remains Miami Beach's beating heart.
