Two Great businesses I would like to give a review. Just…read morebefore hurricane Ian Giza Roofing replaced the roofing on (2) condominium buildings containing a total of 16-unit owners. After the roof was installed, we needed 6" gutters on the South/ North sides of both buildings. Peter Giza recommended Tyler, who was the business owner with "Good Guys Gutters". After Ian both contractors worked with me as the HOA, President to address any issues. Both contractors I highly recommend. Our carport during the hurricane blew away and struck the new roof, creating damage, damage Peter Giza was able to repair at a fraction of the replacement cost. Later a leak developed in an upstairs unit, which later was not the fault of either of these two contractors. Peter came out during the Thanksgiving Holiday to work with me on the roof leaks. Afterwords Good Guy Gutters found the root cause of the leak. Turns out it was cracks in the stucco, not the problem of either contractors. Both contractors worked with me to fault isolate the leak problem. I highly recommend these two contractors. Five Stars ***** all the way. Both contractors were very fair in their pricing and provided the best service. On the follow-up calls there was no charge. Now, this is the mark of excellent contractors.

Peter and his team came out the next day and did a full roof inspection. They were pretty transparent in pricing and in what the actual issue was. These days its really hard to find companies that will be honest with you. It's been a pleasure working with Giza Roofing team, they quickly responded to the concern and addressed it, recommend them.

This is a rather long description of our seven month experience with Resolute Roofing so here's the…read morebottom line: I highly, and without the slightest reservation, recommended Resolute Roofing to anyone in need of a top quality roofing company clearly committed to providing a positive experience from initial contact through project completion. Within a few weeks of hurricane Ian our insurance company had sent us a brief letter saying the extensive damage to our tile roof only amounted to $4,500 or less than half our deductible. Shortly afterward, in early November, while still waiting for our old roofer to even return our initial call, Kenny MacDonald of Resolute Roofing came to our door and virtually his first words were 'You know your roof is a total write off'. I was extremely surprised to hear this especially when he gave me a ballpark idea what a new tile roof would cost which was about 16 times our insurers estimate. Kenny explained that our insurer's letter was basically a denial letter and that unfortunately we might have to get an attorney involved to get any satisfaction from them. I wasn't eager to take this route but appreciated it might be our only option. Kenny then offered to take drone photos (our adjuster didn't even climb a ladder for his inspection) at no cost nor obligation and went on to explain the advantages of Tilcor stone coated steel over concrete tile and why we might want to consider it. Since Ian we'd had several other roofers knock on our door but none were from SW Florida and I knew I wasn't willing to deal with any company not based here. Even as a local Realtor for over 29 years I'd not heard of Resolute so I spent much of the rest of the day researching them and reading a ridiculously impressive number of 5 Star reviews. Within a few days I had Kenny's replacement estimates for Concrete Tile, Stone-Coated steel and Standing Seam metal as well as 31 high resolution, close-up, photos of our roof damage. I told Kenny that I'd like to give our insurer one last chance to do the 'right thing' so I forwarded his quote and photos to them and waited for what I, and I believe Kenny even more so, truly expected to be a negative response. On December 5th, and much to my surprise, a different adjuster called to say they completely agreed with Resolute's assessment that our roof was a total loss and that we'd be receiving our roof, and pool screen, replacement check within a few days. Within a couple of weeks we'd signed our Resolute contract and then patiently waited for our expected tear off date of mid to late March with replacement to be about mid to late May. On March 9th Resolute tore off our tile and underlayment and installed the new underlayment. Due to bad weather in Texas it took a couple of weeks longer than expected to receive our new roof material but within a week of its arrival Resolute's only Tilcor crew, Calvin, Jesús and Freddie showed up to begin work. After watching many of our neighbor's roof replacement done by crews of ten or more I was quite surprised to see only three but what they lacked in numbers they more than made up for in coordination, hard work and totally unwavering commitment to installing as perfect a finished product as possible. Much too rare these days. I had a couple, of what I hoped, were minor special requests for Calvin, Jesús and Freddie and with a smile, and not a second's hesitation, they agreed to both. When the roof was almost complete Calvin suggested they leave off the bottom row of roofing adjacent the pool enclosure to allow our screen repair company to more easily replace our screens without having to walk on, or potentially damage, our new roof. I new it was a great solution and even though it took three weeks to get the screens replaced Resolute was happy to delay their work in order to achieve the best possible outcome. As I recently told Kenny 2023 was obviously a very tough year for SW Florida but the day he rang our doorbell was, although I didn't know it at the time, definitely one of our very best days of 2023. I highly, and without the slightest reservation, recommended Resolute Roofing to anyone in need of a top quality roofing company. If you choose stone coated steel I can't imagine you're not going to be seriously impressed with Calvin, Jesús and Freddie as well.

You can see by the first picture what a good match they had, and now a year later it's lighter than any of my neighbors colored mortar tile roof matches. I'm very disappointed, you can see by the pictures how bad the color has faded. I contacted Randy Newsam and Jonny Uzzel about the problem, they came out to look at and said they would get back to me but never did.
