Not to be missed. This is a small and quiet pub built into the side of the historic Grand Hotel of Tynemouth in Great Britain. The service is order at the bar from a menu that provides unique offerings that in the USA would be considered gourmet. My daughter in law had the lamb shank whereas I had tempura lobster. The latter had plenty of fried tempura that detracted from the lobster meat inside. In my opinion, serving it with a spicy remoulade sauce would have been better than the bland sauce provided. The Greek salad served was unique with slivers of bacon. I say bacon because if they were anchovies, they had no fishy smell or taste. Don't pass up what's written on the blackboard hidden in the back! The roast served with Yorkshire pudding looked incredible. The prices were inexpensive considering the quality of food delivered. My family thoroughly enjoyed it. read more
