Classic English pub food and pub culture. The food is good but not great. On a recent visit we ordered two local specialties Northumberland homemade sausages and pork sampler plate. The sausages were served on heaping mashed potatoes with plenty of nice gravy. The pork tenderloin came nicely displayed with black pudding, and deep-fried, breaded ball. Restaurant has full menu and dessert; waitstaff are quite attentive. Gingerbread cheesecake was delicious with outstanding eye appeal. Two suggestions: a few additional choices for wine by the glass, and, slightly larger two-top tables and comfortable chairs allowing the diner more leg room.
