I called Anthony James Heating and Cooling to do the service. It turns out Desert Hills cut corners and did not install the unit correctly. Some examples: Quite a bit of attic Insulation was found inside the air handler, but on the opposite side of the coil, not where the return vent enters. The tech here now assumes they got the insulation in there during the installation and didn't clean it out before sealing up the unit. No wonder I've always had a dust problem! None of the PVC connections were properly glued. Instead of installing a proper vent pipe for the condensation drain, they just drilled a hole in an elbow. And, an emergency shut off was installed in case the unit produced more condensation then could drain or if the drain line clogged. Desert Hills came out and SUPPOSEDLY replaced the shut off switch. They did not! They simply disconnected the switch. The disconnected wires were just laying inside the unit.

A service tech showed up stayed in his truck on his phone while we're looking at him and said that he came and knocked on the door. Nobody came to the door said he called nobody called. I had no missed calls the other the other number that he had was my recently passed wife, but there was no reason for me to call that number. You had my contact number and he never called it so we had to call the office to get the to tell the guy to bring his butt back here. Mind you we're standing in the kitchen, watching this guy who said he came up and knock the door was full of it cause I have a green camera ring did not go off. There's no video of him showing up to the damn door. He never got out of the truck fortunately he did fix the problem, but this is example of their customer service cause they're not supervised properly .

His professionalism, thoroughness, and quality of work were remarkable. Before beginning any work, Dave showed me exactly what was causing the leak and provided a written estimate on his laptop. He allowed me to review the invoice and confirm that I wanted to proceed before he started the repair. There were no surprises or pressure. As a new customer, Dave also explained the benefits of the VIP Club membership and how Day & Night focuses on preventative service by helping customers understand what may need attention before it becomes a larger problem. I was extremely impressed with Dave's representation of the company, his customer service, his communication, and the quality of his craftsmanship. Dave is an incredible technician and should seriously be considered as a trainer for customer communication--both verbal and written--in the field. He created an excellent first impression of Day & Night and earned a five-star review. One star for AC Technician Victor Leon Unfortunately, my experience today with AC technician Victor Leon was the complete opposite. Victor was dispatched after a significant amount of water began leaking into the same bathroom from the overhead AC unit. He initially brought me into the bathroom and explained that two components needed to be removed so he could diagnose the problem. He then verbally stated, "That will be $307." I asked to see a written estimate explaining what I was being charged for, just as Dave had provided during the previous service call. At that point, Victor's demeanor changed. I also asked what my VIP membership covered for the visit. Instead of clearly answering my questions, he repeatedly asked whether I had a credit card to put the charge on and said he needed to speak with his manager. Victor returned and told me, "Great news, it's going to be free," and stated that he would also inspect the AC system and expected to be at my home for approximately two hours. About 15 minutes later, Victor abruptly closed the overhead unit, gathered his tools, went to his vehicle, and told me there had been a "change of plans" because other customers had emergencies and he needed to leave. I was understandably confused and asked him to explain what had changed, show me what he had done, reopen the unit, or provide photographs. Victor refused. He told me I was "being really difficult," asked why I could not simply trust what he said, and stated that because my home still had cool air, other customers were more important. I asked to speak with the manager Victor said he had been communicating with so I could understand why the service call had suddenly ended. Victor's communication was demeaning, dismissive, unprofessional, and extremely rude. I fully understand that HVAC emergencies occur and that scheduling priorities may change. However, that does not excuse speaking disrespectfully to a customer, refusing to explain what work was performed, or leaving without clearly communicating the diagnosis, the condition of the unit, or the next steps. Dave demonstrated exactly what excellent customer service should look like. Victor's conduct was the complete opposite. I hope Day & Night recognizes Dave for the exceptional technician he is and takes the experience with Victor seriously.

This would have been VERY good to know before I negotiated the cost of buying my sister out of her part of the house and BEFORE we moved in. I reviewed the inspection video. The camera was pulled so rapidly through the line that this very crucial part of the pipe was not obvious/noticed. I contacted Donley through email on Monday morning looking for some sort of explanation as to why it was missed- no call back. I called them on Tuesday about 12pm after not hearing anything. Got a call back from a hotheaded man named Steve who was confrontational and ready to fight from the moment we started talking. "I don't see it, we didn't miss anything, don't know what you're talking about"- is basically how it went- Extremely defensive and unnecessary. He just acted as though it wasn't present during the inspection and it wasn't their problem. It was there. This didn't just happen. It was missed. I liked the guy fine that performed the inspection, but he blew that camera through everything too quickly. Isn't that what an inspection is? Finding things that aren't obvious? Simple as that. Only thing Steve did was guarantee that I will leave reviews on every platform I can. He needs to CALM down and not attack a homeowner who is trying to find out what happened.

Our compressor had sounded messed up from the day we moved into this new build, but Chaz Roberts refused to take responsibility for the bad install (over heated - weld). I reached out to the manufacturer and they recommended Adam's refrigeration. I purchased an extended warranty through Adam's refrigeration for the compressor, and now that I'm over a year of being in this home, I used that warranty to have a new compressor installed with Adam's refrigeration. Ron was The service tech tech looked over everything to get things ready for an extended warranty and then he also did the install yesterday. Extremely polite and knowledgeable. Happy to know they will be servicing us going forward.
