The mystical building was unreal. Be warned if you very motion sickness I got queasy! Matt at the mine tour was also great! Loved this so much I came back to hear the ghost tour by Michael! So good! I got lucky as I was the only one on the tour so I basically got it private tour and Michael's storytelling is off the chain! Love the multimedia to accent his stories. The young woman giving the tour was apathetic at best during the tour. She also completely skipped the elevator ride, saying it was too crowded. That removes all illusion of actually "going down in the mine". The kids with us asked "why didn't we go down in the mine!?" Then the mystery shacks tour guide seemed like he was doing us a favor by even being there. Sorry, did we disturb your day here guy? We ate in the restaurant. Food was ok, expensive, but ok. Service was good. Don't appreciate the political bumper stickers on the wall but whatever. Lastly it was two days before Christmas and nary a decoration to be found. Not a bit deal here but it would have been nice to see any holiday decorations. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa-I'd take it.

At the end of the day, though, everyone in our group agreed that it was well worth the price (and, particularly if you're coming from the East Coast, you're going to be awake early anyway!). Our guide, Jon, made sure that everything ran as efficiently as it possibly could have. Not only did he ensure that we hit all of the Park highlights, but he took us away from the biggest crowds to show us views that were true " hidden gems." Jon was so knowledgable on the history, the environment, and other facts related to the area that we could not have enjoyed it more. Truly an experience of a lifetime! That section has been replaced with the Olive Mill's service bar. The retail shop has expanded - still the oils and vinegars that we know and love, but also other dry sundries like pasta, spices and seasonings. There's a little deli area with loaves of bread, focaccia, fresh cheese. And there's the spa merch - for soaps, balms, and the like. They still offer tours as well. The food is still outstanding. There is a lot of seating inside and out. But it does get VERY BUSY, so yes- during peak brunch hours it can be very hard to find a table. I don't go often enough, but love it every time I go.

They picked us up from our hotel, made several stops including clean bathroom breaks and couple gift shops. Overall, the tour was amazing. Although we only spent 45 minutes at a horseshoe Bend, we were able to take some awesome pictures and walk around. But definitely the highlight was Antelope Canyon. You can only go on a tour here with the Navajo guide and our guide Ray was fantastic. We spent about 1.5 hours at lower Antelope Canyon. He really made the tour fun, informative, and he took the best pictures. The photos do not do it justice. The experience was just unreal. Each term that we took we were in awe. The downside was our tour guide Brandon. Although he was very friendly, he didn't seem that knowledgeable. Maybe he was having an off day but there were a couple times that he stopped mid sentence while telling a fact and even ended a fun fact with blah blah blah to finish up his sentence. At one point, he even started chewing on a candy or something while hooked up to the microphone. This was really annoying. We still had a very great day just a couple things that didn't make it a five star experience. Did you have a lot of options for tours and their office is located centrally in the uptown area.
