January 23, 2019 My…read morecar, a 2015 Cadillac ATS, had to be winched out of a frozen drive and towed to Rhinelander GM. Bob Hynes, the owner, showed up on time and was able to move the car with frozen door locks and brakes, which was embedded in a foot of snow and ice, delicately onto his flatbed tow truck. I was really impressed with his skill and finesse. He knows his stuff! When we got to the dealer he even showed the mechanic how to remove the dash to get to the critical components. Bob, the owner, and his crew at Mercer Rentals stayed open late, did a diagnostic on the van, and ordered a new alternator to be sent up the following morning. But what was extraordinary was that Bob literally gave us his own truck to borrow overnight to make sure our family could get food and a hotel. The following morning Bob installed the new parts and charged us a reasonable amount for excellent work. It's far too uncommon to find a business that takes care of their customers as well as Bob and his team at Mercer did. Bob has been in business for just three years--we hope it's the first three of many more years of excellent quality repairs and customer care!

Which was bad, considering we're from Stevens Point, WI and our camper was at a State Forest site south of Boulder Junction, WI. The good was that the vehicle became disabled in Ironwood, instead of the sparsely populated area of northern Michigan we had intended to go for the day. After getting advice from some helpful local folks, we contacted Ramme Collision Center. They got the problem stabilized enough to enable their tow truck to haul ours to their shop, called for new replacement parts, and had our problem fixed in approx. an hour and a half. And at a very reasonable price! Very professional, courteous and friendly folks to deal with. Thank you so very much!
