I do love me a good bourbon, so definitely had to make sure I checked this place out while visiting the area. We went on a Thursday afternoon and the place was already seeing a pretty steady clientele before 5pm. It definitely seemed like a place where most people knew each other, but they were likewise very welcoming to me and my pup as "outsiders." I came here for bourbon, yet the first cocktail I ordered was vodka -- anything called the Lavender and I'm just a sucker. While yummy, it's still not my jam (I'm not a vodka person, so don't get the wrong idea... it was a really good cocktail, but again I came for the bourbon). One of the only things I usually like about leaving the State of Wisconsin is that I do love a classic Old Fashioned compared to a Wisconsin Old Fashioned (it's a very un-Wisconisn trait, I know, I'm sorry). I don't often get nice responses when I ask for such at a Wisconsin bar (I've mostly stopped trying), but I figured distillers would get me. And while we all together acknowledged that this is indeed a very un-Wisconsin ask by me, they knew precisely what I was looking for. And delivered (actually, literally... they said to take a seat and they'd bring it out to me and the pup). It was great, and I drank it pretty darn fast. This was a fun little spot with a nice outdoor space with plenty of seating. People ended up outside, but I have a tendency to attract mosquitos at an alarming rate, so we didn't spend much time outside and instead finished our time inside. Definitely a neat spot worth checking out when you're in the area. It was super interesting to learn about the history of the distillery and the indigenous roots of its owner. The copper crow pays attention to every detail. Their drinks are all craft cocktails and they sell their booze made in house at the distillery. Their prices are so reasonable too most drinks $10.00. They must have been having some event yesterday and when we got there they offered us the crawfish boil free of charge. Nummy!!! read more

These guys just opened within the last year... they only have 3 spirits available: Rum, Vodka and Whey Vodka, (Apple Brandy coming Summer 2019). All 3 are good, but the Whey Vodka is especially good, and there are only 12 distillers in the world that make this kind of vodka. Worth the trip for that alone! Somewhat small interior, but with nice large tables and a pleasant decor. No food options but a good variety of cocktails. The staff was friendly and informative, make sure you catch these guys on the weekend and support up and coming craft distilleries, you won't be disappointed! read more

My wife a I stopped here on our vacation last week. We love this place. It has everything you could want. They have a big patio in the woods with plenty of room. If you prefer to sit inside, it's nicely decorated, comfortable, air conditioned, and has a view of the stills. The staff was friendly, fun, made our experience enjoyable talking about the area and their spirits. All the cocktails we had were excellent (over two visits). My wife's favorite was the Bloody Mary. My wife and I stopped here several times this week during our vacation. This place is fantastic! You have everything that you need to enjoy yourself.
