This is a cute little theatre. I love Mr. Movie talking with us at the beginning he added a ton of personality to the theatre.

They've renovated this theater, the seating is way better than the previous chairs. It's always clean and the staff is always friendly. It's our favorite theater. They do offer Dealflix, but they're the same price as a regular matinee, we only go to matinees. It's pricey, but with 2 kids, 2 adults, all movie theater's are. Nothing beats popcorn with butter. Restrooms are clean. Lobby is always clean and well kept. Staff are always sweeping up and keeping things tidy. read more

I returned to copper creek theater which I have to say is my favorite theater in des moines. I live near Southridge theater but I drive across town to copper creek because everyone is so friendly and professional, it's always so clean (even the restrooms). The prices are kinda high but that's everywhere you go these days. I love how you pick your seats when you buy your tickets. I hope that option stays. read more

Still our favorite theater. With all the fancy new theaters that have very limited seating we still opt for Copper Creek. Reasonable prices since it gets pricey quick taking the family. Clean facilities! We usually only get popcorn and pop but they have a good sized menu. Upgraded seats are comfortable without needing to recline like some theaters. read more

Though it's slightly out of the way for us, when we're up for a movie (especially with kids) we head to Copper Creek. The reason why? The trailers and ads don't take up 45 minutes. Recently when we went to an AMC theater there were so many trailers and then ads for things like Coke and then more trailers it was 45 minutes AFTER the movie time before the movie started. At Copper Creek we had three trailers and no ads! After the trailer was a quick blurb showing off the surround sound of the theater and then the movie started! It was almost bliss! Try keeping a kid's attention through 45 minutes of ads and THEN a 90 minute movie! Copper Creek also has nice, updated seating. Not only is this great for adults who like that semi-reclined feel and higher back chairs but this kind of chair doesn't suck in the kids. With smaller kids in some theaters, if they sit back the chair folds in on them. You either have to keep them at the front of the chair or hold your leg partially over the corner to anchor it. Not the case at Copper Creek. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The lobby seems cleaner than some cinemas. The snacks are about the same as everywhere but they do have free refills you may not find at Cinemark. They do still accept Dealflicks, which though the price is the same on some matinees it includes a popcorn, ensuring significant savings. And if you or your child can't get through a movie experience without popcorn, this is a nice deal. Be aware Dealflicks may not have seats for movie matinees during the first week if it's planned to be a big, popular release. All the same, check it out. All of the above give us reason to go slightly out of our way to Copper Creek when we plan a family movie night. read more

Went here to see Happy Death Day with my friend. Popcorn was good and that's all that matters. However, do not attempt to eat the popcorn showcased in the examples of different box sizes. It has been there a while. I only did this because I was still tipsy from the four mimosas I had previously. The seating was comfortable enough, although I would have liked to sit back a bit more. This theater does not have the bells and whistles of say, a theater like Flix Brewhouse, which shows fun little preview shows before the actual previews. Instead, the screen is hidden behind a curtain. When it was time for the previews, the curtain slowly rose, eerily, to reveal a solid black wall, of which my friend and I were not completely convinced we weren't staring into the Void. As we waited for some Lovecraftian creature to emerge from the Void, the grey background of the actual theater screen was eventually revealed and we both breathed a sigh of relief. read more

Decent theater. However after there recent remodel the new seats they installed leave even less leg room then before. You'll feel like your sitting on top of the people in front of you. And hope the people in front of you don't lean back, because they will hit your knees. Quantity was valued over quality. read more

Came here to watch TAMMY. Good viewing, they have handicapped seats. My friend and I sat in them at first because we didn't know they were handicapped seats. We moved when we discovered the fact. Came here on a muggy 85 degree day in Des Moines. I was wearing shorts. BIG MISTAKE. The theater was cold. Should have worn long pants and a sweatshirt. The seats were average sized, I don't recommend anyone over 275 pounds to sit in them. Went at matinee time, cost $7, even if you were senior citizen. (Age 60). I normally don't buy theater snacks, but my friend that was with me wanted to split the LARGE popcorn ($5.50) because you got free refills. Well, we asked for our refill after we had eaten half of it, we still couldn't eat it all. And, because of the popcorn, I had to buy an overpriced drink. Bought an 18 ounce bottle of iced tea, which was very good, but IT COST $4.50!!!! Ridiculous! Although there is room to park an RV, the way to get INTO the parking lot is dicey and narrow. Don't try it with an RV. I rode here with a friend. read more

Love that pleasant hill has a theater, but the popcorn is always cold. The theater has had some upgrades, but doesn't compare to the bigger theaters with reclining seats and bigger screens. It is nice to go here when you want to avoid crowds. read more

This is a nice theater. They recently updated it, and during the daytime, it is nice to check out (quiet and not too many people). However, during the nighttime is a different story as there are a lot of high school students or younger adults standing around chatting after watching a movie or waiting for rides. Seats are comfortable (larger chairs) and theaters aren't too large. Prices are pretty good, as well. Would recommend! read more

Quiet theater with nice rooms. Staff is friendly and prices seem to be slightly lower than some of the other local theaters. Easy to get to off the east bypass and parking is easy. Restaurants nearby for before or after the show. read more

Love this place it is really nice since they remodeled it. The workers are really nice and inviting. Love it for being cheaper than the Cinemark in Altoona. The Cinemark in Altoona cost us $17 for a bowl of popcorn and drinks nor refills. Copper Creek gives as many refills as you want for the movie. All around best! read more

More affordable than most of the other theaters in the area ($7 for matinees, $9 otherwise). Good concessions (and prices) with free refills! They remodeled recently and the seats are REAL nice. If it's not at the Fleur and it's a mainstream flick, this is my place of choice. Glad to see them renovate - still running strong! read more

I come to this theater often to catch the latest films. I have noticed there are many high school students who come to this theater often, which is fine, there are no disruptions I have noticed. Parking is convenient here and the staff is friendly. read more

They have made a lot of improvements to this theater, including upgrading to leather, reclining seats and Dolby Atmos sound systems (at least in their bigger theater). I went and saw Avengers: Age of Ultron there and these upgrades made the 2 plus hours of the movie fly by. It also looked like they had upgraded choices in the snack bar, but seeing as we went to a 6:30 show, I was full from dinner, so passed on the snacks. Our Tuesday movie, even on the first week of release, wasn't crowded. It's also still one of the cheaper theaters in town. read more

Copper Creek is a wonderful theater! This was my first time here, and we decided to catch a matinee. Adult tickets for the afternoon show were $7.00 which compared to some prices was pretty good! You get to pick your own seat while purchasing the ticket (which kind of stressed me out) but was cool to know where you would be sitting already so you can use the restroom or get snacks before the show! I was craving some popcorn so had to hit up the snack bar. Like most theaters the prices for the goodies are a bit much (when youre like me and hate spending money on stuff like that) but they are great to share! You can get a combo with popcorn and two drinks at an okay price. I decided to grab a kiddie combo, which is a small drink, popcorn and candy for $5.50. It's not a whole lot of popcorn (because obviously its for kids) but it hit the spot for me! Inside the theater was nice, the seats were awesome! Very cushy and decently sized, plenty of leg room. I was nice and cozy! The person behind me still managed to kick my seat a bunch, they must of had some long legs! But other than that it was a pleasant experience! The bathrooms were clean and they had a beautiful chandieler in the lobby. I will definitely be back to catch another flick at Copper Creek! read more

We watched Ralph Wrecks the Internet here at 11:10 on a Sunday. I think it was opening weekend of the movie. Tickets were $7 each and it's one of those places where you pick your seats. When we went there were very few other people! We chose our favorite seats in any theater and were not disappointed. The seats were comfortable and clean! They are flexible (lean back slightly) but are not the oversized reclining chairs (they might have those but the ones we sat in were not). The theater was spacious and had no funky odors I sometime encounter with smaller theaters. We were surprised when we drove up that the theater building appeared so small and was detached from any other shops! The staff were friendly and when we ordered snacks they automatically gave us a "deal" we had not noticed which dropped the price! The candy selection seemed decent and drinks were typical (they have dippin' dots too). The movie started on time and there were no issues with lighting or sound. My biggest disappointment was the relatively flavorless popcorn - bummer! I'll taking seasoning along with me next time we go but overall were happy with the experience! read more

My wife and I went to the Copper Creek Cinema today. I had been there before but it's a year or so ago. They have upgraded the theater since the last time. Nice update. The new seats were very comfy and the popcorn (important) was fresh. read more

Not such large seats (but they are comfy) therefore more seats, so don't have to book before have and pay extra like some of the other, newer theaters. I feel like this is a better value without compromise. read more

It would be nice if they joined Dealflix for the people that don't really care about seeing movies the day they are released.
