Total scammers at this location. I have bought a number of Co-part vehicles from around the country but both times I have purchased from Houston they completely misrepresneted the vehicles that I purchased and the manager is unwilling to even discuss it with you. Do not buy from this Co-Part facility it is run by very dishonest people. read more

The gentleman that worked the gate today (sorry that I don't remember his name) and Colby helped my elderly parents access their vehicle to remove their belongings. They also retrieved the dashcam footage as my parents were unable to figure that out. I can't tell you how much I appreciate their willingness to, in essence, take care of my parents! I live in Florida and it gave me great comfort since I don't live locally knowing that there are kind, knowledgeable people that work for your company. Colby and the other gentleman even refused to accept a well deserved tip from my parents. Their integrity is to be commended as well as the company for hiring such wonderful employees. You made an extremely stressful situation so much better....THANK YOU! read more

Especially loved the part where my subwoofers were stolen. they told me to get my subwoofers I needed to call adjuster to ask for permission then then I get permission (not attached nor could it be only storage reasons till I could install my sound system one day. ). When GEICO sent it there without my permission when I told them to send to my dealer to empty car out. Then I was given the run around to call GEICO. In the end my subwoofers were stolen... When I had permission to pick them up I cam by and they were magically not there. Must be from the other place they say. Well why were you trying to keep it to sell to the company then. Saying that it's part of the car even though I clearly explained it to them before they put me on hold, then told to ask for permission from adjuster. read more

Bum ass people ... not only did our car get totaled by a driver that passed a red light.. on top of that. The people at copart took it upon themselves to clear out the car before I got there and they stole a phone that was to be gifted to my daughter along with 3 cologne bottles and 2 gift cards. When we told them we'd be filing a police report we were kicked out and they locked the doors on us. read more

Management is lacking brain cells. They charge you for storage even though you try to pick it up and can't because you have to have an appointment!! They rhymes want to to download an app and wait till the appointment time. The guys loading the stuff are good but I feel for them because management is just dumb. Also the manager in the office will not even come out and talk to anyone about an issue. That manager needs to be fired!! read more

worst customer service of the many copart locations. They have 5 stations but only staff two! The weight time is 45 minutes (minimum).

This copart yard in houston rankin road has horrible customer service. I sold a vehicle and dropped it off the next day. Car has been there for three weeks and nobody contacted me to tell me that the buyer changed his mind. Now they do not want to give me my car back. Do not sell through the goapp. Service managers have no communication with clients or the yard they are working with. I will never sell a car through copart again!! read more

Called 4 times to speak with someone about fixing the potal to upload my documents and get them paid and 4 times i have been put on hold and sent back to the automated system. I guess they dont want to get paid. 0 stars but i guess i cant do that. read more

Shitty and unhelpful location. Yard is in terrible condition. Saw two different cars get damaged even more by fork lift because the lot is so terrible. Even with an appointment still waited 2.5 hours. Even though I bought a run and drive, clean title, damage free vehicle and had a dealer plate they won't let you drive it out of the yard or bring it out like every other copart. Paid a tow truck driver $120 to wait with me 2.5 hours and move the car 30 feet. read more

My insurance company uses this facility to store their vehicles. I had to go to them to collect my personal items from my totaled car. They were very nice and accommodating, although I got there almost at closing time. I was able to retrieve my items without any trouble and they even take the plates off for you. I personally had a positive experience. read more

I forgot her name, but the customer service agent today at the counter really took such good care of me. She saw I was anxious and in a rush, so she helped speed up the process for me so I could feel more at ease. Losing your car is never easy, and I am thankful for the compassionate care I received today read more

They stole my phone stand and seat covers while my car was there. And popped my tire.

I will recommend an ez pick up for keys and title, I see a lot of people in the back chatting and not helping people in the front. I will advice a friendly pick up. Other than that is a great company to do business with, thank you much! read more

We had a PLEASANT EXPERIENCE which I'm thankful for because it's hard enough losing a car and then to have a rude experience would have been the last straw. My daughter had totaled her car a couple of days before so she needed to get some things from her car. She called to inquire and the man on the phone was pleasant. We drove in from the Sugar Land area. They were kind enough to help her get her stuff from the car. We really appreciated that! read more

I bought 6 cars last week 2/21/2020 my tow truck driver went to take the cars out and it took him 4 hours waiting time and he charge me more then usual from $50 to $75 per car and I understand him that is a waste of time, so this coming week I only bought 3 cars so I decided to go on Monday 2/24/2020and pull the cars out myself and then call my driver to come and pick them up, the guy at the gate started telling me that the cars can't seat at the yard longer then 5 minutes otherwise he will pull them back in and charge me to have them pull out again. This is not the right thing to do to a customer we paid $20, to $30, and we get this guy at the gate and come and tell you that you are not allow to have the cars there it's not pennies we are spending at Copart Please TOW TRUCK DRIVERS SPEAK UP AND RIGHT REVIEWS AND THIS WILL FIX THE ISSUE, I have already contacted the Federal Trade Commission and maybe this will call up their attention PLEASE COMPLAINT https://www.ftc.gov/ read more

I had a Friday off and decided to look at some vehicles at Copart Houston on Rankin Rd. I called them before I went out there to confirm if I'm able to go on the property and look at vehicles. The lady on the phone said I can look at it anytime Monday through Friday. When I got there I stood in line for almost 30 minutes and the lady at the counter tells me that I cannot look at vehicles on sale day (Friday). Very frustrating experience!! I had driven over an hour to get there and also called before I went out there. Nobody that works in the office seems to be a no hurry to do anything. There was a long line of at least 10 people but nobody seems to be in a hurry to help. Folks that I talk to over the phone seems to be very customer service oriented. But the folks that are actually on site in the office [at least at the Houston location] seems to be on a different page. read more

Worst company ever. Pick up for my vehicle was supposed to be between 8am and noon. Called them at 130pm to ask why driver was a no show. Was hung up on 3 times. After 20 minutes on hold , finally a live person. She informed me the driver was stuck in traffic. Driver then called me to tell me he would be another 2hrs late. 4hrs later from his scheduled window. Everyone ive dealt with here sounds miserable and unhappy. read more

I donated a truck to "Cars for Kids". This is the facility they'll auction it off. I haven't received the final receipt yet but it should be GOOD!!! 1996 Chevy 2500, 128K miles, "YUGE" motor, NO rust, just a few door dings, AC doesn't work but this thing is barely broke in for this type work truck. NICE!!! read more

Buyer beware. You really should inspect the vehicle before you bid if you are actually planning on driving it out. Pay for the pre buy inspection if you are serious. It is worth it, unless you are buying for scrap. The lot is mainly filled with insurance claim cars. The lines on auction day are very very long. Imagine waiting at the DMV. read more

Horrible customer service very unprofessional if it wasn't for Geico I'd never deal with them. My benz was salvaged and as soon as they got the notice from my insurance the began blowing my phone up while at work mind you I work 3rd shift with handicap medically compromised kids and babies. We set an appointment to pick my car up for 8am & they were supposed to call 1hr Before arrival time mind you i live about an hr from the auction company. No one ever called Jose the tow driver pops up at my home while I'm at work and refused to wait until I got home to two the car then proceeds to tell my sick mother that I need to mail the key or come drop it off! Wow! Thank God Geico stepped in I hated to be the middle man. No compassion or understanding whatsoever in a rush to make a buck! Completely disgusted & disappointed! read more

I had to wait 5 hours to pay a car waiting for my turn just for them to say i could not make the payment. The time frame on the copart app was 50 mins and i waited 5 hours because the time kept going up and down for 5 hours. All employees have very bad attitude they treat customers like animals. Absolutely awful customer service with lots of passing the buck. They messed up the pick up of my vehicle and I kept being passed off to different employees. I called the copart at 1655 rankin road to get information on a vehicle and a lady named Katrina answered the phone and at first she was very nice and polite until I asked her if there were any fees, she doesn't say a word and puts me on hold and when she comes back she said there were fees to pay, I asked her if insurance gets billed for those or if we need to bring the payment, she proceeds to yell at me saying that no vehicle can be picked up without a payment, I agreed with her but was confused because normally copart bills the insurance for payment and it was just a different process, she proceeds to put me back on hold again and comes back on the phone talking to someone else about how "I don't want to pay the fees and why quest should pay the fees" which I never said, I simply asked if they were billing insurance. She proceeded to still yell at me that vehicles need to be paid before taking them so I just agreed and asked her what form of payment she accepts. She puts me on hold again and hangs up on me. This was absolutely unprofessional behavior and I have never been treated like this when calling a copart, I am not sure if she was having a difficult day or anything of the sort but it was highly uncalled for read more

Picking up a cars always a miracle here, for one car pickup took me 4hours today. While all other coparts round the states usually less than hour and you outta their lots. And they more busy than this location. Management sucks at this location. read more

Three days ago, we called them about picking up our car. They said it wasn't a problem and asked us to drop off the title and keys at their location the next morning as it was too late to pick up the car that night (Monday afternoon November 5th) the next morning my husband drove all the way there (an hour away from us) to find that they didn't pick up our car (they said about 4-5 times over the phone that they didn't need the keys and that they would have the car) he even called that morning to double check and they said they would have the car between 10-11 am. When he got there they didn't have the car, and they would not specify when they would have it just that would be picked up sometime that day. (Tuesday November 6) He left his keys and they kept assuring us they would have the car that day before they closed. Tuesday passed and lo and behold they didn't have the car. Wednesday comes and he called them again asking about the car and again they kept assuring us it would be there sometime that day. They claimed they didn't know if the driver even have the car or not. They couldn't tell him a specific time of when they would have it just told him to keep calling back. He ended up talking to them over the phone 11 times just on Wednesday. Finally after telling them to have a check or his keys today (Thursday November 8th) and after talking with a supervisor a few times they had the car. We picked up the check and left. Never going to them again. They have so many communication issues and for a large well known company I expected better. read more

Worse place to pick up car and title. Took like 3 hours just for them to see me. Never again buys car here.

Horrible place to do business. Communication is lacking greatly. Called many times for clarification, but ended up having to go to different locations to pay, payment methods (apple pay) said to be supported were not. You cannot look at your car unless you have a yellow vest. A lot of hurdles to jump through and misinformation if you have any questions or concerns. Do not use this location is you are an independent buyer. read more

Bad customer service! They will have a long line and then put a sign in front of you saying their going on break and then come back 30 mins later. No replacement no help from anyone else. I had a question about a damage done to a vehicle that I purchase from them, a lady name Karla was very cut and dry at the beginning of the conversation, to simply put it, if you are not there when they load your vehicle into a trailer with a forklift then you can't claim any damage to it. Karla was less than professional because when I asked her about all the fees I paid for including the loading she simply hang up the phone. I was never rude to her but I wanted answers, so I called back and talked to another lady name Claudia who was more helpful and gave an email address so I can make a claim and express my concern. Still that Karla hang up the phone on me for no reason other that she didn't wanted to deal with a paying customer is inexcusable. read more

my car was totaled and sent here...my car charger was stolen out of my car, cord and all. they won't let you get your belongings until you sign a form that makes them not responsible for stolen personal items. so there's nothing that can be done about it.
