Biscuits and gravy and a new ceramic cup.

Returned to our favorite coffee off I-70 after spending night in Blackwater. We had breakfast at the coffee shop below the airbnb we were staying at, and were so disappointed in the coffee strength and wet breakfast sandwich that we decided to return here and try their biscuits and gravy, and of course have real coffee. The coffee never disappoints, and the biscuits and gravy were good. I've never been disappointed with food here. Yesterday we had picked up some Angus beef sandwiches, which are their signature sandwiches and are very good. Finally also bought one of their cute coffee cup tumblers here too. The service is still good here too.

Wow! I saw this place while pumping gasoline across the street. Fast off the highway and back on. Delicious offerings (I had some food and coffee here; they gladly packed some of it to go). Spacious, clean, cool dining area (they call your name when order ready). Really nice personnel. They also have a drive up. Perfect stop for distance driving!

This place is simply AMAZING! The sandwiches are exquisitely delicious. The salad & coleslaw are yummy & they offer a range of coffee choices. There are gorgeous dessert offerings as well. As amazing as the food is the ambiance. So well designed & decorated. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

Fantastic, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, respite from the storm and was able to get a breakfast sandwich and a cup of yogurt and just enjoy it while I was waiting for the storm to pass. Lovely place on 70! Stop by some time and tell them why you love your mom!

I was traveling back to St. Louis from Kansas City when I saw this cute place! The ladies at the front counter were respectful and your name is called out when your order is ready. I ordered the seasonal Campfire Chai and the half sandwich of the Signature Slow-Cooked Angus Beef with a side of Boulder Kettle Chips. The flavors of the sandwich were not too overpowering and everything blended well. The Campfire Chai was refreshing and so good! Definitely a cute spot to sit down in if you're traveling. The restaurant was also decorated very nice- with an interior of casual mixed with modern flair. I am assuming it is also religious based as there were Psalms being displayed on the television in the main dining area! Super cute place!

Food was excellent. Iced chai latte was not a brewed chai tea, but had the spices added so they settled at the bottom. Very nice inside but desperately needs some outdoor space added. There was a large loud party and the building didn't have any components to dampen it. The staff was overwhelmed by the speciality drink orders which really slowed down the pace. We also bought the raw honey jar at $18 and a jar of jam at $11. The "boutique" items are cute but they need prices displayed. All in all we would stop there again for that quality of food.

The store is very beautiful, really good aesthetic. It's a bit more on the pricier side. But I guess not too bad. The food was pretty good. I got $9 avocado toast. I got everything fairly quickly and even though it's expensive, I will be coming back if I come back through here.

My second stop here today and the food is top tier! My smoked salmon lox bagel and breakfast sandwich were both literally perfect. Fresh and tasty!! Keep up the excellent work!!

I just read someone's review that stated this was an oasis and I couldn't possibly have picked a better word myself. There seems to be nothing out here off of 70, but then you pull off and there is this bright, clean, welcoming coffee joint with yummy sandwiches. The people were friendly, food was good, and did I mention it was clean? We both ordered the sunrise breakfast sandwiches (YUM). My husband got a drip coffee and I got a monthly special -- the mudhopper (dirty matcha, oat milk, with a simple syrup) -- it slapped. Would recommend to anyone looking to stop for coffee!

This place was just off I-70 going west. It was very handy and such a cute modern building. The breakfast selection was limited, but very good and filling. It was a bit pricey, but we were very happy to give small business a try. We loved it. The service was only at the counter; but they were very helpful.

Stumbled upon this place during a road trip and it did not disappoint. Fresh and filling options with a lovely selection of caffeinated beverages.

We had stayed the night in the room above, and were thrilled to stay at a very nice Airbnb with a coffee shop just below. The owner is nice, and gave us a slight discount for staying guests. I appreciated her hospitality, but as I give reviews on here about ambiance, service and food, I can't lie. While staying here, I learned that she will be remodeling the place, and hopefully when she does she considers a bit more comfortable seating rather than just the stools up against the wall, with no outlets to plug into either. There wasn't many tables available either, so this will need to be addressed. The food, besides the coffee, there was only breakfast sandwiches (already made), how nice and convenient, right? But with an exception, they were on lightly toasted Texas toast, with slightly scrambled wet eggs, and double sausage with American cheese. All of this sandwich wrapped in an aluminum foil, and placed in a warmer for the guest to grab it and eat it. As you can imagine it was one warm and gooey mess. I didn't take a picture of the sandwich, but I can tell you that as I chewed it the bread stuck to the roof of my mouth. I did order a berry turnover of sorts, but it seemed that it was just slightly baked with very little golden brown. Ultimately, this was a place of mere convenience for us, but I wouldn't have wanted to have driven from I-70 all the way into Blackwater for this breakfast.

I drank my coffee in the nice little shop while wandering, looking at all their decor. I debated on getting some of their homemade pastries and such, but eventually settled for a very large iced tea. The people were fantastic ( a family, it seems), and the food and place were great. Couldn't ask for a nicer little coffee shop. Now trying to find a reason for my girlfriend and me to go to Blackwater, just so we can go by this place and she can see the shop!

I explained it again and set a time for pick up the next morning. Jana called that morning to postpone my pickup time from 11am to 5pm. The icing tasted like it came out of a Duncan Hines can. The grooms cake looked like a hot mess and stuff just thrown on it and part of it not covered with icing. Needless to say this lady should NOT be doing cakes. So unprofessional, disorganized and seems to always have personal matters. She even met with the wedding party 4 times before the wedding. Like who is DRUNK and has an obligation to provide a service to people. Even the venue people couldn't believe it.

Soft, fresh, and packed with flavor, easily some of the best we've ever had. We also picked up some locally made jam and homemade lemonade, and both were delicious. One of my favorite things about this place is that it's family-owned. You can even see the kids helping their parents, greeting customers, packing orders, and being part of the whole experience. It gives the bakery such a warm and genuine feel that you just don't find very often anymore. Such a lovely experience with a cozy atmosphere. Definately recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

The moment I walked inside, I felt like I had stepped back into my childhood. I grew up in another country, and this place reminded me of the small village stores I remember from years ago. It brought back a lot of good memories. Everything here feels homemade. Not "homestyle" as a marketing slogan, but actually homemade. You can tell people take pride in what they make. We tried the cinnamon rolls, a couple of fried pies, fresh lemonade, and later took home some jam as well. The cherry fried pie was probably my favorite, and the cinnamon roll was incredibly soft and fresh. Nothing tasted mass-produced. One thing I really appreciated was the atmosphere. No rush, no pressure, just friendly people doing their work. The kids working at the register were polite, explained everything we asked about, and made us feel welcome. We spent about $19 for everything we bought, which felt fair considering the quality and the fact that almost everything is made from scratch. If you're driving through this part of Missouri, I'd definitely recommend stopping here. It's not just a bakery--it's one of those places that reminds you what homemade food is supposed to taste like. I'll gladly stop again the next time I'm passing through.
