The Coopers Arms pub is tucked away at the top of Tilehouse street in Hitchin and despite being quite central would be really easy to miss it if you didn't know about it.
There is some parking but the car park is pretty small and fills up quickly. The pub itself is quite oldey-worldy and you get the impression it's been there for a few centuries. It's a very traditional pub in feel - range of decent beers, wines and ciders. They do some decent pub grub too - nothing fancy but not overpriced.
There's always a bit of a buzz about the place, particularly in the evenings - but a mix of clientelle - young and old, locals and out of towners alike.
Definitely one of the better pubs in town and work seeking out. read more
