This place is bigger than Conad grocery but way busier with more customers. They have more selection in comparison but for me I'm okay just going to the latter for a quieter Grocery shopping experience. read more

The artichokes and sun dries tomatoes were so good my eyes rolled to the back of my head and made me question my fidelity. I thought about going to confession after lunch. There are fewer crowds here, probably because of its location, which makes it a prime spot for food tours. We didn't do one but we just wandered around ourselves. There are fewer options here than Mercato Centrale but the trade off is that you don't have to deal with all the people. They sell a lot of the same stuff - fresh produce, meats, and some vendors selling food. We tried the tripe sandwich here, which wasn't as good as the other market, but still delicious. We also bought some strawberries outside, which might have been some of the best strawberries I've ever eaten in my life, so definitely don't sleep on those. Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio is worth the trek!

Came to look for some groceries while here in Florence for a family trip! Found this location through Google Maos. This store is great because they have anything that you might need (which is pretty good for an express store) -- not sure if express stores are different than the American versions of expresses, but they had a good amount of options of just about everything. Not sure if the price is what all grocery stores charge in the area because a lot of things seemed quite expensive (loaf of bread could be 4 euros, where as in the US, it would be like 2). But it's a nice place to go to pick up some essential food items/snacks if you don't like eating out all the time when traveling (especially since it can be hard sometimes to find a foods that fit your craving). They carry: - Fresh fruits & veggies - Meats & seafoods - Refrigerated items like: seafood, frozen meals, milk, yogurts, cheese - Drinks: soda, waters, wines, beers, coffee - snacks: chips, nuts, crackers, chocolates and more - household items: kitchen utensils & cutlery, laundry items, bathroom items (toilet paper) - Travel items: power adapters & power extensions
