Vivi Market is a place where you can get your freak on, oOpps ...I mean your 'freak ingredients' AKA not your basic italian ingredients AKA foreign products.
I think I come here like once a week, be it for green thai curry paste, or vanilla extract , or edamame or coconut milk... they've got it all (except mochi ice cream, why don't they have mochi ice cream!?)
All the products are organized throughout the store by Country of Origin. Starting with Thai, Philippines, Mexico, India, Japan, China, S. America. They also have a big selection of Tea and Sake (yum) and loose grains ( the only place where I have found Jasmine Rice)
The prices range from moderate to expensive... 1 euro for 500 g of jasmine rice, 2.5 for a small bag of edamame 2 euro for 1 avocado.
They have a small selection of 'biological' products and macro biotic products as well. Tofu and seitan. Frozen foreign seafood (i think it is seafood)
This is a nice market to check out if your near San Lorenzo Market or in need of some hard to find foreign product
p.s. Oh and in case you are wondering, I never pass by the American section, they have a whole shelf of Duncan Hines frosting.... I DO NOT even need that kind of temptation thank you read more
