Because it has the same owner and almost the same name, I'm not 100% sure that the BarCade deserves its own Yelp page, but MSDBaA is different enough from MSDaB that I'm reviewing it as an independent business. The games: For just the games? I'd give MSDBaA 3 to 4 stars. The selection is pretty standard stuff. They're missing some of the 80s blockbusters, but they have many of them. They also have several sleeper hits and a few games that never really made it over the top. All arcade games are set on free play all of the time! The 7 pinball machines are on set on free play on Thursday and Sunday, but are normally 1 dollar per play (standard for "new" games these days). This, obviously, is a great deal (on Sunday and Thursday). Most of the games are in pretty good shape, but none are in perfect condition. In the past, I've said that I'd rather pay to play a game that is in top condition, than play a free game with sloppy joysticks or buttons. This still holds true. Again, overall, the games ain't bad. The bar: The quality of the drinks and the beer selection makes up for the non-stellar game collection. The service: Excellent service from Andrew and Rachel. Both were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is fun and comfortable. Also, it's attached to a pretty good, albeit a little expensive, sandwich shop. Although I'd love to see a little more attention given the retro arcade games, in general this place is great; it's nice to have MSDBaA in Downtown Findlay. Toledo should take a lesson or two.

Main Street deli gives such a cool rustic/retro vibe. Half of the building is a bar/arcade and the…read moreother half is a little deli restaurant. They offer a variety of things including fresh baked loaves of bread to take home! I ordered over the phone and my food was ready within 10 minutes! Service was fast and easy. My salad was loaded with toppings and super flavorful. I am only rating 4 stars because the avocado did not seem fresh and there were a few pieces of brown lettuce.

    G & R Tavern - Infamous Fried Bologna Sandwich

Home of the Famous Bologna Sandwich…read more That's the bold claim G & R Tavern has been making in Waldo, Ohio for more than 60 years, and judging by the line waiting outside when we arrived shortly after noon, plenty of people believe it. Located in a village of about 300 residents, G & R Tavern has become one of Ohio's most popular destination restaurants. Visitors come from all over the state to try the sandwich that put this small-town tavern on the map. Founded in 1962 by George Yake and Roy Klingel, G & R Tavern has become a true Ohio institution. In 1985, Rick's family purchased the restaurant and has continued the tradition ever since. During our visit, I had the opportunity to speak with Rick and learn that the next generation is already preparing to carry on the family tradition. In a time when many independent restaurants struggle to survive from one generation to the next, that's something worth celebrating. The atmosphere is exactly what longtime fans have come to love. Wood-paneled walls, a bustling dining room, homemade pies in the dessert case, and an old-school charm that feels increasingly rare today. Even the cash-only policy somehow feels right at home here. As for the famous sandwich, it continues to live up to its reputation. This Ohio classic features a thick-cut slice of fried bologna topped with melted American cheese, sweet pickles, and onion on a soft bun. It's simple, flavorful, and easy to understand why people continue making the trip to Waldo year after year. Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from my wife, who ordered the fried bologna sandwich as well. That's not something she would normally choose, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were hot and crispy and made a great companion to the meal. Some places become popular for a season. Places like G & R Tavern become part of Ohio's history.
