I was a little happier with my blueberry muffin than I was my Cousin Vinny. I wanted so bad for the sandwich to taste like an amazing Muffaletta because of the ingredients, but it didn't blow my mind. Still, it was fine. It was disappointing that they were out of chicken cutlets because several of the sandwiches had that as the critical ingredient. But I would go back to explore the cutlets and their various Italian mains (lasagna, meatballs, etc) if I am ever in Nelsonville again.

I'm giving 4 stars because I'm not a huge fan of their pricing. Otherwise, the food itself and…read morereasonable pricing would've earned it 5 stars. The food is wonderful! But given the area that we live in, it's a bit on the pricey side. (Personally I can't justify $5 for a single slice of peanut butter pie, but that could be just me.) The fish sandwich is lovely! And I absolutely love their garlic parmesan chicken. The only "negative" thing I have to say about the soup beans is that it could use a little more seasoning and maybe some chunks of ham. (My soup beans didn't hit the spot, as it was missing little chunks of ham and could've used salt and pepper at the very least.) I do get their food from time to time, but very seldom due to budget constraints. If they worked on their pricing to be more affordable, I'd be happy to give 5 stars!

This may be really the only negative part of the visit, they sat us basically right outside thr bathroom area and the odor of bathroom cleaners kinda tainted the experience... Drinks came promptly. I tried Mississippi madness. Husband ordered the smore stuff pancakes. Daughter ordered off the kiddo menu, which I really liked the "can I have a snack" you order 3 of the items listed so she got exactly what she wanted! First off, pancakes were delicious. Though, be warmed they are very thick and dense. Husband ate onr and took the other half home and finished it later. The Mississippi madness was good, wish I had some franks hot sauce to go with. I would definitely come back to try their milk shakes or diety sodas.. and definitely not sit by the bathroom

However i found the coffee to be a little bland in flavor, and the prices to be a little high. My bagel with cream cheese was just ok, but my wife liked her egg sandwich. Little pricey appetizers, 10 dollars for an order of cheese sticks seems steep, but the rest of the menu is overall ok pricing. I felt like a turkey club. Husband got an egg breakfast and daughter order tenders off the kids menu. Their sandwich was good price and good size - built beautifully and tasted as it should. I only ate 1/2 because it was just very big. My husband said the tenders were good, he ordered a second order to go for himself and our doggo. Place is definitely a dated diner, but everyone was very nice and service was on point. We are all on a first name basis. Larry's is hot dogs and ice cream, the soft kind with lots of sprinkle options. Every other item is a supporting cast member. Lots of folks go for the chili dog footlong version. I'm not against it, just more than I can navigate in the car as the drive through is the default for many at Larry's. So if you are on your way home and don't care about the stains on your shirt, get the chili sauce, raw onions and cheddar cheese. Otherwise maybe just old school it with a single mustard or ketchup topping. There is an ample dining room and for my family it holds a story as my father and my son would stop there for a dog, an ice cream and a story between after school events each Wednesday. Definitely imprinted memories for both of them.
