My son wanted a new bat after the holidays and so we went to Dick's. As soon as we walked in and began to look at the bats on display Nate greeted us and made us feel welcomed. He listened to my son who is only 10 and treated him with the same respect as he did me. After understanding what he wanted Nate shared with us it would have to be ordered. He did everything right there with us. He ordered the bat and discussed all the warranty options and how to handle if we had any issues. I was very impressed. My son was so happy when it arrived only a couple days later. Nate was professional and knowledgeable about so much more too. We have since been to the store a couple of times since and were welcomed and greeted just the same. Thank you Nate and DSG for supporting our athletes and families in a unique way!

And they measure at two different ways. They bring out five or six pairs to start of what they think will be good for the way your foot works. They give you socks to try on the shoes. And when it comes to buying some new socks, if you can't find socks here to wear with your tennis shoes, they simply don't make them. They have loads of cute socks.. and not the cheap stuff that falls apart after two or three Plus, they have a huge selection of Oofos, for both men and women. Orthopedic doctor suggest those to wear as flip-flops because of the way they help your foot and knee. Emily was my shoe fitter and amazing knowledge person extraordinaire and gave me lots of choices and was fun to work with. There's really no other place in the St Pete area to buy shoes and it doesn't matter. If you're not a runner you will get the best fit here for any kind of tennis shoes you've ever put on your feet. Something about giving a second life to a preloved item just feels so right. Play It Again Sports is a Mecca of preloved sporting gear/toys. My most cherished possession from Play It Again is my rollerblades. I use these blades almost daily. I like to think at some point they belonged to a 10 year old boy named Tommy. I'm really hopeful that Tommy got some fun mems with them, and even more than that I am grateful that Tommy's mom relinquished them to Play It Again at some point. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I like to call the store to inquire whether they have what I'm looking for and they are always so diligent and communicate so clearly and in great detail what it is they have that might meet my request. They are keen to sports, meaning they actually have a lot of knowledge that would be helpful if you have questions about gear specifics. The best part of shopping second hand (unless you're like me and genuinely believe in the sustainability factor) is obviously the deal. The prices cannot be beat..seriously. The blades I previously mentioned would have cost at least $45.00 from a box store or Amazon AND I would have had to wait up to a week to get them, because believe it or not rollerblades are not kept on shelves regularly. At Play It Again I spent $25 for 2 pairs of rollerblades, 1 kids size (Tommy's) and 1 regular adult women's size (I believe they probably belonged to a Meredith). Both blades got some serious sanitization and the bearings got a little cleaning and some lubricant, after that they were ready to roll. I cannot recommend this store enough. Especially if you're looking for something super specific and in a time crunch.

The brand of apparel stuff is also very surfer-esque- Hurley, Roxy, Reef, Sun Bum and more. The workers were young but really friendly and gave us some local food & coffee recommendations. The one girl even said her mom worked at the shop when she was the same age and that's pretty cool. There are some pictures & trophies on the stairs from surfing competitions I assumed employees of the shop participated in or sponsored. I also loved the giant flip flops sitting out front- if you visit or have visited you know exactly what I'm talking about. They have a basketball hoop on the side of the ship and a ball out front you can shoot with. I popped my head inside and quickly realized this was my type of store. Cute clothes, jewelry and accessories. Walking around I saw several cute pieces of clothing and they had this super cute/simple one sleeve sweatshirt and honestly, I would have liked it more if it didn't have Madeira Beach written on it. Nothing again Madeira but as a local I wouldn't wear something with a local city/town on it around here, maybe if I was off on vacation but still doubtful. They reeled me in when I got to the jewelry area, especially the rings. Several were cute and it was difficult for me to pick. They are reasonably priced at $12 each of 2 for $20. I went for the deal and picked out a gold and a silver ring. As I was walking out, I noticed some earrings that I didn't see before that were super cute but I was being good and didn't buy them. I have more earrings than one person could ever need. While I was still in the area, I decided to take a look at the rings that I bought and put one on since I didn't wear any out that day. I immediately ripped off the tag and then realized that I accidently gave the employee the wrong ring. I had read another review on their return policy so figured I was stuck with my 2nd option, but I did decide I would pop in and see if they would exchange them, even with the tag off or if I would just have to buy the other ring (it was the one I wanted the most). The employees greet me again with a smile and said "back again huh" jokingly. When I explained what I did they just said grab another and only confirmed the size so they could put on the proper tag to sell again. This is a store I will check out each time I am at John's Pass to see what new stuff they got.
