This is the best kept secret in RV parks near Springfield, MO. If you're looking for resort amenities, kids playgrounds swimming pools, planned activities, then this place is not for you. But if you're looking for a small RV park with good well placed utilities, level sites, some trees, close to I-44, a mile or so from town and absolutely the best most friendly host (Dave) then this place is for you. Other RVs are well maintained. We have 62 foot (with trailer) and did not have to unhook. If you're working in the area or spending a few days in the area (or just even overnight) then this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back when anywhere near the area. read more

Best Rv camp!!! As we traveled from San Diego to Maine we stopped and camped at several motor parks ----- Cooks is the best one and only review I feel needs a mention !! Pet friendly and clean!!! Great location for big rvs towing. Even have a pet shower for the fur children !! The owners are the cherry on top of the best Rv park !!! Small Rv park We overnighted, so we didn't use facilities. I walked through the laundry area; it was clean and looked like good machines - important when you have to do your laundry on the road. Great spot for a quick stop or a weekend to visit the kids on campus! The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful and always nearby if you need anything. Nice and clean. Pet friendly. We didn't use shower house / dog wash but it all looks perfectly nice! Full hookups. We had a drive through spot both times we stayed and plenty of space and easy in and out. We decided to choose cooks park because they had high reviews and, of course, they just happened to have a space available. They were very friendly. We called in the afternoon and let them know that we'd be arriving in the late evening. They were right on time as we arrived almost at 10 PM and made sure to get us to our spot safely. They even asked us if we needed any help with anything and offered a decent amount of information so that we were knowledgeable about the site. The site is simple, but clean and nice. The hook ups worked without a problem, there was a little dog area very close and the amenities were great with showers, dog wash and laundry facilities. We were only here for one evening but had a very pleasant stay. The entire site was very quiet and the owner met us in the morning just to make sure we were OK and had everything we needed to get on the road. I highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a stop-over to your next adventure. We are new camper people but definitely are capable of figuring out our logistics. There are many people buying campers now and the market is busy so this is Definitely a place where you can get a little advice and there is a local RV / camper shop to pick up any necessary supplies. We stayed there for 3 months while my husband was working in Springfield We stayed in a fifth wheel, You will never find a more well managed RV park It is kept clean and well maintained the showers and laundry room are awesome the owners / managers just put in a nice little Book nook in the laundry area you can take a book and or leave one if you wish, the owners are friendly and helpful there are plenty of green space for walking the fur babies there is also a dog wash the location of the park is convenient with shopping and dining close by We felt safe there the entire time we would highly recommend Cooks RV Park. read more

I can't say enough about what a great job this park does to be accommodating to travelers. we came for the nsra street rod run. we made last minute reservations to attend and had to get a back in site. from the minute we arrived we were pampered. they came and got my car trailer and placed it in storage for me and while there we had rain coming through and the offered me a 20' storage unit to keep my car dry overnight! and wouldn't let us pay them. they were nothing short of fantastic host. we camp all over the south east and have never felt more at home. we are fans for life, when our travels include Springfield they are our go to. read more

Stayed here two nights in a 35 ft trailer and Ford 250. Easy in and out, owner actually helps you pull in and hook up! Clean campground, quiet, they do not put up with any rowdiness. Has a shower house, for humans and dogs. Slept well and never a worry about our safety. Will stay again for sure when we are passing through! read more

This was a great find! Starting with the friendly welcome before we arrived through the thank you email shortly after we left we enjoyed their hospitality! It is a quiet small park conveniently located just off I-44 which allows east access to the Springfield sites. We have a 45' motorhome towing a Colorado pick up and had plenty of room in one of their big rig sites. Facilities are clean and well kept in spite of their current construction project. Nice little park! Pull-thru spot to make set up super easy. So many nice features - the laundry house was a nice perk and having a "real" shower accessible was even better, since our RV shower wasn't usable at the time. We didn't have our fur baby with us, but they even had a dog wash area that would have been great. They had multiple wi-fi connections available but I still struggled to have sufficient connection to work from outer site. We would come to this quiet, little community again. read more

Before booking here or staying here I highly advise look into other options. we stayed here in the month of May 2020. We booked here because the reviews had the highest stars but apparently that doesn't mean a damn thing. I very very rarely give reviews positive or negative. This is my 4th review ever. I only do them if they're exceptionally outstanding or absolutely terrible... In this case, this RV park is absolutely terrible please read the following. This establishment will lie to you, they are extremely unprofessional don't have a clue about customer service, satisfaction or relations. Jennifer the owner is a complete idiot. We are full-time RV'ers, retired military, and a combat disabled vet. Out of all the places that we have stayed nationwide this is the worst place for many reasons. The managers / owners are Jennifer and Donnie. We called two weeks prior to our arrival and spoke with Jennifer who was at the time extremely kind friendly and understanding over the phone. We express to her our intent of staying 1 to possible 3 months. Also informed her I was a disabled vet and needed to be close to the showers / restrooms and did not want to relocate. Informed her we had a toy hauler and like to sit on our back deck and like to have a view if possible. She stated we have a perfect place for you. She put us into #16. Donnie is an awesome guy very friendly, helpful and professional. He also runs interference for Jennifer because she has a tendency to piss off all the customers and make them feel very uncomfortable. We pulled into cooks RV in the evening, Jennifer was a totally different person then she was over the phone. She came out with major attitude like we were inconveniencing her, directing us into our spot, once parked she knelt on the ground and looked underneath our RV like something was wrong. I asked her what the problem was and she did not respond. She was very controlling with a major attitude. The next morning I witnessed her walking throughout the RV park walking around each and every single RV looking at each one closely like she's looking for infractions. She did this every single morning and evening... Someone else was sitting on their deck in their space and she told them it was not allowed, there was a confrontation between the two and they got up and left the next morning a week earlier than intended. After being there for a week we came back and there was a note on our door from Jennifer telling us that we have to relocate to spot #2 which was very close to the main road w/ view of gravel dust & storage sheds. I tried to talk to her and expressed to her how difficult it was for us to move due to my disability's and she could care less. She gave us a date to move which was changed 4 different occasions on HER behalf. She did this to 8 different people that we know of like it was a personal chess game... Everyone else and our selves left much earlier than intended due to her unprofessionalism and being unrealistic. I looked up pictures on their website and looked at satellite imagery before booking... It appeared that everything was paved, which was not... Each spot is gravel and barely wide enough for your RV to pull into. Not to mention very little room between each RV. No outside tables, very dirty & dust everywhere. When it rains I walked ankle deep in water to the bathrooms. There are very little trees for shade. In my opinion Cooks RV is way overpriced and they take advantage of it because the closest RV campground is KOA 10 miles to the west or 10 miles east to Stafford. In the vicinity of Cooks RV there is a tremendous amount of BIG RIG / truckers activity, we witnessed prostitution & drug use. Cooks RV Park where allowing all different types, ages (really old) and homemade school bus crap RV's. Is definitely not quiet like some other reviews state. There was racing up and down the main road all hours of the night and you can hear the traffic freeway a mile away. Like I said Cooks RV put us in spot #16 right next to the dog potty area and within 10 feet from my back deck people will walk their dog and have a view of them shitting... Every morning and every evening next-door neighbor who lives in the home wearing a camouflage jacket each time would walk his dog over and poop 10 feet from us when there's plenty of other areas to go while eating breakfast or dinner.. like I said at the beginning do your homework there's 3 other RV parks within the area of Springfield. Cooks RV is the worst place ever I would not stay here ever again. Recommendations to stay. KOA 417-831-3645 Stafford RV park 417- 736- 3382 Ozark Highlands RV Park 417- 881-0066 this park has many trees very beautiful extremely clean roads are paved and the spots are paved. With many conveniencies within a mile... Does not have the trash around it like cooks RV. read more

This is a great place to stay in Springfield. The Park is very clean and the owners are awesome! The laundry facility was also sparkling clean. It is located convienent to freeway access and to see all the sights in Springfield and Branson. Also lots of stores for whatever you need are minutes away. We stayed 5 nights with our 40 ft motorhome pulling a car. We had plenty of room and the park was quiet and felt safe. We definitely recommend this park and would stay there again if we get back to Springfield again. read more

The owners are very friendly. I enjoyed talking to them. However, after 35 years as RV ers, my evaluation of this park is as follows. The sites are VERY tight. There are no picnic tables. There is no cable tv. Ones own satellite is not usable due to the trees. There are several WiFi connections. Unfortunately, I could not connect to any. My own WiFi card worked fine so at least I could watch Roku. I cannot evaluate the showers nor the laundry as I did not need them. If the fee had been $35, it would have been a fair overnight price. However, at $50 per night, it is not at all a value. We should have stayed at a truck stop. We come through this way often. However, unless the amenities are improved or the price decreased, we will not be staying here again. read more

Our unit was full of roaches. Two bug bombs hardly even dented the swarms. We are washing all our clothes. Disgusting!!!!
